One other neat effect that you get from having 90 degree corners like that is that they turn into prisms. No matter where you move the camera, the lens is always going to be perfectly reflected in the corner. (or your eye if you're in person)

I’ve been in the mirror industry for 11 years, & grew up with it before working in it.
Usually wardrobe mirrors are 1/8” thick, real thin. I’m surprised it didn’t break on that concrete, when he stepped on it.

It’s definitely a ping pong ball. Ping pong balls bounce, and sound like that. I also never saw the digits of a golf ball.
well the mirror not breaking is all dependent of surface area and pressure, with the flat concrete under when he steps on it spreads his weight evenly on the glass floor and concrete but if it was over that crack he showed it was more likely to break as it would create an area of pressure on the glass as he step over it causing the mirror to bend. the ball if thrown could have broken it but it dropped due to gravity wasn't too much force and the same as stepping on it applies but as well the ball compresses before it bounces back which increases the surface area as well.

I love the way you think. I was counting reflections to see te efficiency of your mirrors right from the get go. I had a friend (now passed) who built rooms like this, except that the walls were trapezoidal, so the room was a truncated pyramid. The effect was that rather than being in a rectilinear lattice, you were part of a segmented sphere with a spherical container. Really trippy.

Out of all the many fears and aversions I have, I can confidently say that casadastraphobia isn't one of them! I hadn't heard of it before and it's good to learn something new.
That's a brilliant thing about videos like this. It inspires further ideas and gets people talking to strangers on the other side of the world, even people who are normally very shy and socially awkward. It increases learning and awakens an urge to communicate.

There was an art installation at the national gallery of art in the late 80's. It was an entire room of mirrors and you had to wear booties to walk around in it. Pretty cool, I'll never forget that experience.
So, if you step into this room, then it's like seeing all of the parallel universes in which an identical versions of you are stepping into this room in the exact same way at the exact same time?

This is actually a ton easier than all the normal light scattering going on, which is why it took so long to go from fake looking shiny CG to modern realistic lighting.

Imagine smudging a mirror and having to clean them all to find the smudge.
You wouldn't actually have to do that. You could just move in front of a mirror and if the smudge is there then thats the mirror with the smudge. Reflections cant reflect a composite image with true fidelity though an object so when you are between a mirror with a flaw and a mirror recieving that reflection your image will interfere with the reflection of that flaw. Therefore if you can see the flaw, its the mirror directly in front of you.
This has always been a childhood fantasy lol I always wondered what it would look like. Thank you for this!

Well, I've been wondering what this'd be like for about 30 years now, so thanks for that. I mean, I could figure it out theoretically, but it's satisfying knowing it's been done.
There is one practical way to have an idea without building this enclosed 6-walled mirror box. In my youth I have been experimenting with the mirrors in some computer game engines and most of them were unable to properly reflect the 2 mirrors on opposing sides. But the Unreal engine was able to do it perfectly. Only it stops around 3rd or 4th reflection because if it goes on, the reflections would be overly taxing on the hardware, so it was software-stopped at that point. But I then went into turning the map into all mirror. And when I played it in Unreal 1 against the bots, unlike me they never miss the target. When I needed to act fast, I remember I sometimes was shooting against themirror while the oponent was in fact behind me. :))))
