Cool and Beautiful Bike. I've always wanted to learn how to ride one of these. Billy is amazing, with his knowledge, skills, and racing accomplishments! I bet back in the day, he was a force to be reckoned with. His 5 time winning accomplishment of the Isle of Mann Race is unheard of. It takes a whole lot of balls to enter and ride in that race. Although I like speed and acceleration, I'd be scared to death to ride in that race. Billy is fearless like you brother.
Love the wisdom, bike knowledge and history Bill shares, interesting to see that trials bikes haven't changed much since the early 2000's. I mountain bike and my favourite things to do is the technical trials type of stuff I can relate to how you just get lost in it and somehow come out feeling refreshed. Goes to show your never to old to get off the couch and ride big inspiration and much respect!
2006 250 2-stroke - one of the best clubman trials bikes for my money. Well made, great grip and reliable. Ran one for 3 seasons with some success at club level - never missed a beat.
Alright now! A beta Rev 3, not many of those around anymore(at least here in the States). I really wanted one of these and never had a chance to buy one. If I could, I would drive up to there and buy that. That looks really clean. That gentleman sad there is not a tremendous difference between this bike and the new models. The new models may look similar, but they are significantly more advanced than bikes from the early 2000s.
The first street bike I rode was a Honda trials bike. It had a four stroke engine, maybe a 200cc, a clutch, blinkers, headlight, and brake light. A skinny trials seat, and it ran perfectly. It belonged to my cousin, he didn't get it back till sundown. Lol
I've been thinking about getting a trials bike. Never had one before. I'm a moto guy but I can see the benefits of honing balance skills with it & not to mention, the FUN!! Cool bike!
Well loved bike in the uk. Bulletproof machine and will still ride the sections great. Had 8 betas and currently have a 300 evo 4t. Thanks for sharing 👍
Trials riding is a point base system. It’s not about racing. Every time you take you foot off the pegs or drop bike counts against you. It’s very difficult.
This why I love Yall, so much wisdom from the OGs of motorcycling. God bless America and Kaplan cycle fam.
Its amazing the stuff these bikes can do!
