I’ll start with this; I’m not a garment sewer. With that said, I did research a bit and the flatlock wave would not only work but look stunning. The measurements would change minimally but definitely test stitch and do the math after so your fit is correct. Love to see what you create. If you haven’t joined my Sew Blessed Quilting and Embroidery group, please do! All classes and lives are done there. Lives are every Thursday at 3pm PST. Thanks for the great question!
Hi…I used the wave stitch on my Ovation and when I tried to go back to overlock the machine continued to do a slight wave effect. I twisted all the wretched dials, turned it off and on again, rethreaded from the start, and double checked the settings with no change. Any other suggestions?
I would ask your dealer. It’s very difficult to troubleshoot when you can’t see the machine. Perhaps take it in and have them show you what’s wrong. They’ll first look at your switch on the machine to make sure it’s not still in Wave.
Appreciate all you are sharing. Thank you
Thank you so much, Robin! And thank you for watching!
Very interesting. Could I use a flatlock wave stitch in garment construction, say for princess seams?
