Okay, another most excellent video. I looked at the SJE093 and the SPB253 but ultimately went for the Seiko SPB325 (PADI). Also picked up the Dan Henry 1970 AUTOMATIC DIVER Orange in 40 mm. Love the look and feel of both of these watches. All the best.
Oh my God. I think I held your watch several months ago at Topper. I didn't pull the trigger and regret it. I hope you enjoy the watch. I hope to get one from Topper.
Excellent review! I do have a slightly different perspective. Looking at how the Willards have depreciated in value, including limited editions being available at discounted prices, it's possible that the 62MAS will also see a decline on the used market in a few years. Regarding the Tropic strap, I wish these new versions would still retain the square pattern extending all the way to the lug area. Without it, they resemble any generic tropic strap.
Thanks! I hear you on the strap, had to swap it out. The other limited editions of the 62mas have soared. We'll see how this one does. Came out of the gate a bit hot. Cheers, D
Just wondering your in your opinion what makes the Omega Seamaster better? Also what Omega Seamaster reference are you comparing it to? There are so many 😅
Heya. The coaxial movement is probably the best thing going out there in its price band and above, better than Rolex even. The Omega has a bracelet option, better water resistance. But....you have inspired me. I'm going to do a Omega SM green vs. this Seiko in a side by side comparison to put some proper analysis behind it. Thank you!!
I have the same Omega Peter Blake problem. I paid 2600 for it and a lot of these expensive Seiko, or Tudors and other brands in this price range, I just skip when shopping cuz in the end of the day, I will rather have Peter Blake on the wrist on most days...
That's well put. I didn't know of the PB association until your comment when I had to google what it was....even tho I have the GMT from that era. Thank you for that! Probably one of their best executions IMO. Best, D

These watchs are amazingly good, can't go wrong with any one of them. So glad you are enjoying yours! Cheers, D

LOL, wasn't mine, maybe it was Curt's? I got mine locally. Great watch, worth hunting. Cheers, D
Found my SJE093 a few days ago (Aug ‘24) sitting brand new unsold in a Seiko AD. Amazing piece running +-1s/day so far 😁
Sweet! Great pickup. Love hearing these stories. Cheers, D
A watch that shouldn’t be limited edition. Kudos on this acquisition
Absolutely agree, no need to limit the production on this one. Thank you!
stunning watch
A worthy edition to anyone's Seiko diver collection for sure. Cheers, D
Very nice historical limited edition D! The case reminds a bit of Squale. Best regards and happy new rediscovery models.
Thanks for stopping by to say hello! Does seem a bit like Squale. Perhaps because they're from the same period? best, D

@@HobbyOfHours I'm looking forward to that head to head.
@@linds6609 Me too. Might have to accelerate it!

Proud owner. Need a new strap for it though.
Yep, the Tropic.com straps are great. Not sure how well connected the current entity is to the OG but it's fairly great. Best, D
A horological psychiatrist? That cracked me up 😂😂
We could all use one!! LOL. Cheers, D
SRP043 is the hottest Seiko ever made! I love the 62mas also.
I'm thinking of trying to get an OG version for a side by side. That'd be rad.
