Nothing beats spending time moving around with different places with you. Really appreciate all the time that you've put into making these videos and sharing it with everyone! Thank you!
I love your sense of humour and your accessible, informal style. I wish I was as confident and knowledgeable as you. Your food knowledge and appreciation is outstanding. Your travel knowledge is the best I’ve seen. It makes such a refreshing change from the usual style of travel video. Bravo sir. (I wished I could have accompanied you! I would learn so much!).
These videos are so nice to just relax and watch - no unneccesary music, just a little explanation in subtitling and the ambience of the trip itself. Not to mention they tend to have great info/a look at what its like to go on these kinds of trips in case I manage to go myself sometime!
This ferry looks like a better choice than going by land this time. Not just because it's fun and relaxing. I envy Japan and its so many choices other than a car. That was the first thing that amazed me when I was there. I never even knew about all the ferries until I saw your videos. Thank you.
@@Maghanashi the trip would have taken something like 3hours by car road trip, the taxi fare would have cost more than 50 bucks in the States I think. It cost me more to get to an airport from within a city in the US :/ For a relaxing boat ride instead, I think the cost is pretty good value; these ferries don't really make their money from car-less passengers - its transporting cars and trucks they charge an arm and a leg for, because there's often no better alternative. EDIT: Just thought about it some more and I think for this ferry in particular, if I needed to share the "First Class" room I wouldn't have felt like 50 bucks is worth it. As it is, its fine, but if the room becomes shared I think the value proposition plummets. For me at least, I don't know if the Japanese mind sharing the room as much as I would.
I knew we'd have to get a snack on the ferry!!! LOL. Thanks for the video!! I've never been to Japan so I find your videos interesting - especially how cheap travel and accommodations can be!! Much cheaper than here in the U.S. Thanks again!
Excellent video, as usual, SoloTravel. I enjoy the format of your videos. Japan is a beautiful country; I hope to visit some day... Thank you, very, much...
Just discovered your channel..blessed be you for not having included any disruptive talking or endless and stereotypical vlog-type of visuals ...just the pure feeling of travel as seen through your eyes. Keep the series going !
Да уж, японская культура очень необычна и по-своему уникальна, первый класс в традиционном японском стиле - очень непривычно. Путешествие на пароме выглядит очень комфортным. Спасибо за прогулку, Соло-сан!
Japanese ferries are so expensive for what you get! That was a very expensive set of bedding for just over a one hour rest and a lounge that... wasn't very lounge-y. Thank goodness for the good-looking rice and noodles. That broth! It was beautiful.
I’ve been hooked on ferries ever since I took the Inside Passage ferry overnight from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert, British Columbia. 14 hours overnight, and I even got myself a foom! For a Canadian, this was a novel experience. I must come to japan someday, it seems like you have a vast network of coastal ferries, bullet trains and cute local railway lines to explore. If you ever do make it to Canada, I recommend the inside passage ferry ride, and a train trip from Prince Rupert to Jasper.
It is a 16 hour trip now the day cruise from Port Hardy to Prince Rupert. I have done it numerous times but I love the 22 hour overnight cruises the best. Much more relaxing! These Japan ferries are pretty neat but wondering why you would need a cabin for a less than 3 hour trip? Is there anyone ever on these ferries?? I never see anyone else!
Oh no, a three hour tour, Gilligan!! I was shocked to see you could buy a private room for so short a trip, but maybe they do longer cruises too. Looks bare for First Class. Still, nice to stretch out than be stuck in a chair. So you reach your destination, go to main shopping street, but where is everyone?
I love traveling with you. I’ve been to many countries but haven’t been to Japan .... yet. 🙂 Your videos make me want to go and it’s now on the top of my bucket list. Safe travels my friend, until our next voyage, stay safe! Blessings to you.
Love💕 your striped socks. Thank you for the trip. Good thing you laid down when the ship was rolling. The noodles looked very soft. Yum. I will go watch the food channel. Thank-you. ✌💛🤘
Thank you for your videos, as they are the only ones my wife will watch with me. She remembers her first and only trip on a Sunflower many years back, and has promised to let me try a ferry trip the next time I go back to Japan. ありがとうございます!
Thank you for the video! Unfortunately, I cannot travel due to health reasons...So I appreciate your 1st person travel videos so I can have the vicarious experience!
ROTFLMAO! @Solo. I when you sounded surprised as to whether the Restaurant was opened or closed; I thought "OH NO TheOld Solo Curse has struck again. The bloody restaurant is closed. I am happy for you mate. Enjoy. I wish I could try some of those noodles
~ All The AmenitY ! ~ With that thumbnail of the solo pad in that glorious spacious Sparse room, the sarcastic version of amenities popped into my head. Joking aside, great video! 👍
Dear STJ, I have been on 6 cruises. All Carnival Cruise Line. I love cruising so much. It's relaxing and fun! I have these video from you in my recommendations and I love them. I love seeing the differences and how much I'd rather be on the calm ferry sometimes! I would love the experience of a smaller ship again as our market makes sense to produce much bigger vessels. Thank for for all the work you do for these videos. I love to pretend I'm back on my cruise!
The idea of passenger ferries being so massive and having cabins to spend the night in is just so foreign to me. It's really interesting. In the U.S. passenger ferries only take you short distances, have no rooms for passengers and are very small in comparison. The closest i can think of are cruise ships but those are far less industrial looking than these. Cool videos. :)
The noodle dish & fried rice looked absolutely amazing! Not feeling the ferry, over priced, should at least have a private room with a bed for first class lol but if is not an overnight stay is not necessary I guess :D
I once took a ferry from Maizuru to Otaru, Hokkaido. Then I hitchhiked North and took the ferry to Rebun and Rishiri. That was just part of my journey; best summer of my life!
Konnichiwa. Genki desu ka? Your cabin was so ookii. First class and you had to make your own bed!!! Beppu looked nice with steam vents. Arigato for the video.💖💗🤗💗💖 from Lynne in Australia.
These videos you make always give me a happiness. I could be having a bad day but then if I saw a new one uploaded, I would click on it and then it would put me in a good mood.
I love your videos!!! I’m in landlocked Oklahoma USA, so your travel videos are so interesting & relaxing. Thank you so much for sharing your travels with us!!!!
Lol, "I shouldn't eat now..." *Cuts immediately to food*
When has our friend refused to eat? 😁
I always know I should be eating something when watching his channel, because the food makes me so hungry.
I was beginning to get worried that I would have to stay home today…….my bags are packed and ready to go!!!!
Can't denied that fried rice even though very simple in presentation, looks very tempting.
I love the views of Beppu and it steams from the hot springs.
The downside is the persistent smell of sulfur in the air there.
Impossible to forget: "Sunflowers, Sunflowers"
I wait for these! I absolutely love them so much. It's always a nice little vacation! Thank you! Safe travel's my friend!
On ongoing thank you from Canada, always love your videos, they're a highlight of my weekend
Nothing beats spending time moving around with different places with you. Really appreciate all the time that you've put into making these videos and sharing it with everyone! Thank you!
The low hanging clouds in Beppu watched from the sea are so scenic. I could see this every day 🥰

Interesting trip. Your lunch looked very tasty! Congrats on 200k subscribers!!
Thanks for following!
I needed a pleasant ferry trip today. Thanks for always taking us along on your adventures.
One day , I will visit japan.. Love Japan and love your channel
I noticed the pause when you pressed the “Push” sign on the door, I guess it looked like an automatic door haha
I thought it was😂 Thanks for watching closely
That was an interesting first class room!
The noodles looked amazing as well
I love your videos.. very relaxing and amazing. I would love to visit Japan just to ride the ferries ⛴ and the trains 🚊
Congrats on 200k subs
Thanks!

"The boarding bridge of the noodles" sounds like some mythical Japanese gateway to hidden realm.
Those noodles 🍜 looked good 👍
Loved your foodie upload from Oita The food looked amazing! 😋
So good that you can travel all over Japan and enjoy all the experiences in full.
Your videos always seem to calm me down when I feel anxious. Thank you so much for taking me on your travels!
I'm always shocked by the value of transport in Japan. In the UK it costs so much to get anywhere. I am jealous and really hope to visit soon!
It's still expensive. I wouldn't call this value,
Yr country full of corruption of geed

Be safe and be Blessed.

Another amazing video, my friend

love the comment, I shouldn't eat because I am going to have the C. noodles....(2 seconds later).... SNACK TIME!!!. love it 🤣
Thank you very much 👏😍

Thank you for another fine video! I look forward to more. Sandy, from Indiana, USA
Your videos are so oddly satisfying and relaxing. Thank you for sharing your travels around Japan.
Yet another great video!!

The cabin in this ferry is truly unique than the other ferries you've stayed before but it looks really comfortable sleeping there ❤️☺️

Yeah, in regards to the life vest closet, I'm amazed these huge ferry's don't have life boats!!!!!
I wonder if they have inflatable ones to save on space
They have ones at the stern. I just didn’t take the footage.
The fried rice does look delicious👏
Loving the anime vibe in this video!
waiting for the next video👍👏
Thanks!
Thanks for the super thanks!
I love how Japan has all these local specialty foods, it seems so fun to go exploring different parts of the country and trying the local dishes.
Everything so clean and polished. The Japanese people are so wonderful!
The broth looked ultra rich. I could feel tasting it. Great meal.
Thank you for bringing us along! And I’m glad you picked the noodles and the rice (I would have too!)
Oh no, a three hour tour, Gilligan!! I was shocked to see you could buy a private room for so short a trip, but maybe they do longer cruises too. Looks bare for First Class. I wonder if booking a room is required for pedestrian travelers
2nd Class ticket is at least required

I like your videos, no taking, just relaxing and calming.
cheers from brazil!
Always enjoyable! Thank you!
Oh, those noodles looked good! I'd have gone with the fried rice too. That room - it only looks empty. It isn't empty at all with you in it.
These videos make me so happy 😀
Congratulations 🎉 for 200K subs
Thanks for following!
@@SoloTravelJapan your video are very awesome to see and I like the part when u eat food. Does Japanese ferry have any vegetarian food? 🤔
I look forward to your videos every week. Thanks for going on these trips for us. I want to go too but travel isn't possible!

Wow
I once took a ferry from Maizuru to Otaru, Hokkaido. Then I hitchhiked North and took the ferry to Rebun and Rishiri. That was just part of my journey; best summer of my life!
The country road music on the ship reminded me of Whisper of the heart. One of my favourites.

I would be tempted to pull out 2 or 3 mattresses and stack them for comfort 😂👍
I 100% would have stacked all of them for a Princess and the Pea type situation!
Gosh those beautiful noodles were worth the journey for sure!! Yum!
