- Welcome to all 974 of you lovely folks out there. Today we are talking about our top five handheld tools that we use day in and day out in our business and the 5 tools we highly recommend to get the job done every single day. A selection of Husqvarna and Honda tool features in this video.

Agreed the husky gear is great although I love my Stihl 94t hedge trimmer and bga 200 blower. I just put the battery in a little back pack which takes the weight out of the machine. I have a 216 but find I use my timemaster more often now as it mulches better and is quicker with the 30 inch deck.

Hey Wade, thanks for commenting mate. I love the Stihl HSA 94T its an amazing hedger, probably the best out there alongside the Pellenc. I don't enjoy the cord much though! I haven't tried the BGA200 yet but it looks like another awesome bit of kit with good power! I also need to try the Toro as a few people have recommended that mower to me. Time to for some more tools I reckon lol... Cheers mate 👍🏻
Ive used the Honda self propelled professionally - and have to agree - I like them a lot - they are super reliable - and you expend a lot less energy using them. Hoping to also get some Husqvarna battery tools for myself in the near future!!
The Honda mower is a great bit of kit. Hoping to have an equivalent battery powered mower soon, the Pllenc Rasion 2 is close. Did you get any Husky gear?
@@lovelawns Still working salary gardening - use Stihl battery stuff all the time - not that happy with the Stihl multi tools - as the joints come loose over time - if I go out on my own it will definitely be Husky !!

Do love your down to earth reviews. I had got some pellenc machinery a few years ago from eBay, thinking of starting a business, which finally happened a couple years ago. I will be starting to change over to Husby, as being tethered to the hedge trimmer(s) is cumbersome and at times a pain as you do have to watch out for the cable. Their stimmer/brush cutters are great if you have a large area to do, but I also have the 325iLK for edging and now wouldn’t use anything else. I have the pellenc rasion 2 mower, which is a fantastic machine, as I don’t want any fuel machines. It works really well, as you know from the review you did. I also have the pellenc blower first edition and as long as I have a dedicated battery for it, it works ok, but do agree with you if you want to do a quick blow around, it is an arse to get the pack on your back just for that, or to undo the cable from one tool and attach the blower blar blar blar.

I don't mind too much in being tethered to the brush cutter, but even here in the UK it is an arse when the sun is out and our temps are nowhere near what you guys have to deal with. I also do some chainsaw work and was looking at the Husky pro chainsaw, but have just seen Stihl have released the MSA300 battery one. It is a beast! I don't expect you use them, but it is kinda worrying as the Stihl can run at 30m/s which isn't covered by any PPE, as the highest rated PPE is 28m/s. Just thought you might want to throw that info at one of your Stihl dealers and see what they say. didn't get an answer here...
Great videos! Thank you! Thinking I’m going to buy a 325ilk but have yet to get my hands on it (out of stock locally). Am wondering whether it will feel less balanced with bli200x’s vs bli300s, as I’d prefer to cut down on weight and save a little $. I will look at the battery belt as well, though I’m a homeowner with a lot of acreage and mostly need it for occasional brush cutting, weed whacking and sawing limbs. Appreciate your thoughts! Hi Nick, thanks for watching and commenting. It is a bit less balanced with the smaller battery but it doesn't make much difference in use to be honest. I mainly run the larger 300s for runtime over weight savings. I personally prefer how it feels with the bigger battery but that because thats what I'm used to now. The belt is a good idea if you are running it for longer periods. Cheers 👍🏻
Thought of using the blower attachment BA 101 to you 325ilk instead of the 525ib? seems to be a bit stronger and saves space/money
For me and my company in Ireland we moved to battery for our gear.
We tried Stihl....gave it all back could not handle the wet werther we have. In the end went with a company from France called Pellenc works great for us. Australian and rain not know for it so I would say it will be okay for you.
But we have all the gear moved over including the lawnmower.....which is fantastic in the wet with the new wet blades in it.....they have a flick or winglet at the end of the blades that gives a full box of grass every time.
Thanks for watching mate. Yeah we’ve used a fair bit of the Pellenc gear. Top quality and love the Rasion 2 Mower. I reckon it’s the best battery mower on the market. The new backpack blower is pretty bloody good too pumping outside 27n 👍🏻

@@lovelawns before watching this I was torn between Makita, Husq and EGO. EGO because of the decent mower option, Husq and Makita because it’s popular between the professional community in the UK. Having watched your video though, I’m 99% Husq and will stick with my Weibang Lawn Mower and petrol blower…..
Ego make a few good tools, particularly the new blower which is far superior I terms of blowing force over the Husky, the Ego batteries are excellent too. But as an overall system you can’t go wrong with Husqvarna in my humble opinion. Wouldn’t personally go with Makita for commercial work at this stage. Cheers mate
I really enjoy the videos you put together. I have recently started a lawn mowing and gardening business. I followed your example, and I have bought the 325ilk. I am really happy with it. I am now trying to decide whether to buy the HA860 hedge trimmer attachment for the combi-tool or a dedicated hedge trimmer such as the HUSQVARNA 520iHE3 or the HUSQVARNA 520iHT4. I would value your opinion. Once again, I really enjoy the videos and appreciate the time you take to make the videos and reply to people's comments. I don't know where you find the time!
Hi mate, thanks for the comment and kind feedback. Stoked I have been able to help, the 325 is great bit of kit, good choice 👍🏻 Both the hedgers are good. It sort of depends how much you anticipate using it. if its just occasionally I'd perhaps look at the combi attachment but if you will be using it regularly I'd definitely go with the 520ihe3, its very versatile and we use it every day for all sorts of hedges. Great power great runtime, ergonomic and a joy to use. The ht4 is also really good if you need the extra reach but heavy and long if you don't. Not really a good everyday pole hedger due to extra weight and length. Hope that helps. Cheers

Love your videos. Deciding on what to get for a new mowing business right now. Between you and MOWTECH, theres a bunch of good info. Right now, I'm in a dilemma between the huskies and stihls in the battery range. Essentially have to pick a brand so obviously all the batteries are the same. To me, the combo systems seem to make the most logical sense. You just swap out. Are there any downsides to kombis vs non? When will you get your hands on the STIHL KMA 135 R? Pretty much waiting for your thoughts about this one compared to the husky. Can't see any comparisons out there. Also, what are the differences between the husq brush cutter range and the grass trimmers? The 535iRXT is nearly double the 325iLK.
Thanks mate. Exciting times ahead starting up a new business. The classic Stihl vs Husqy dilemma we all go through at some stage lol... Both have great tools and to be honest you won't go wrong with either. The new Stihl 135 series range looks really good. I would run a dedicated trimmer if Husqvarna made the equivalent 325 version but at this stage the combi is working well and the main reason is how much use it gets. A dedicated snipper will always be a bit more robust in my opinion but the combi has been fine too to be honest. I only really use the blade edger attachment as I have dedicated hedgers, pole saws and blowers etc. Mostly it stays as a line trimmer. I will try and get a Stihl 135 for a comparison, they have only just arrived in Australia. The 535iRXT is a whole different animal, not really a daily driver but amazing at big jobs where you need power and runtime. The 325iLK is a great all around daily driver. Hi, Thanks for the helpful videos. I just bought the 325 with the BLi300 and it seems to be even slightly more balanced than with the bli 200. Unfortunately the machine does not come with a belt as the other tools. Do you think it is necessary with the heavier Bli300? Wouldn’t it make it more ergonomic?
Hi, thanks for watching. I never use a belt with this sort of machine as I’m constantly turning it to do flat or vertical edges and the belt / strap would get in my way. Only use a belt with the big bull horn style trimmers. Cheees 👍🏻
Hi Benjamin, curious how the 325 is working out for you-I’m about to buy it but am debating between bli 200s vs 300s. I’d rather go with the lighter batteries but not if it feels out of balance. Appreciate your thoughts~
Youve sold me on the hedge trimmer.. notice that husqvarna has just brought out a 522iHDR60 now as well.. but im steuggling to work out the differences. It actually looks slower than the 520iHD60. Wondering if you had any insight to what the new one offers?

I'm trialing the 94R tomorrow, but my heart is set on the Husqavarna gear.
I personally do not like the cord. Otherwise it’s a great bit of kit.

Thanks. I've got 6 x Bli300 and 4 Bli200 that does the trick for us mostly.
what's the run time with the bli200's in the hedge trimmers?
You get a few hours of continues use out of them.
yes those holes are there😊 but they have dimensions for which is it impossible to fine the right screws in this length. It must be a 3x70 but I can only fine 4x70 in this length. Do you think I can just drill it a bit wider? 😅

I own a small landscape business in Europe and unfortunately Husky battery powered equipment is way too expensive for me. Thankfully I've found the great middle ground between high end commercial Husky and the low grade homeowner tools. I use Makita's battery powered hedge trimmer, blower and pole trimmer. And although the tools themselves are not that much cheaper than Husqvarna, the batteries are 1/3 the price. Makita's 5Ah battery is like 70 euros while Husqvarna's BL 200 is 250 euros.
And last but not least, I agree 100% with your choice of mowers. I use the semi commercial HRX 537 model. It's a bit cheaper than their fully commercial models but I find it better. First it has a plastic deck, (Honda calls it Hexalite), and it's some serious s***. Not only that it's rust free and indestructible, it's also much easier to clean and the grass sticks to it much less than it does on the metal decks on commercial models. And last, something I can't explain, HRX 537 comes with the 200 cc engine that is more powerful than the commercial 170 cc engine. Sure, it doesn't have the large gas tank or commercial grade filters, but it's more powerful which is extremely important to me given that my customers are on a bi weekly contract while some of them want their grass cut every 3 weeks. So you can imagine the kind of thick, tall grass I have to tackle. And HRX 537 runs through it like a dream.
Hey mate, thanks for watching. I haven't tried the Makita gear but a few colleagues reckon they are good but not quite there for everyday commercial use yet. I don't mind investing in the best gear for my business as its what supports my family and lifestyle so I'm happy to invest in that. Also the Husqy gear is 36v, are you using the 18v Makita? We don't get that Honda model here so wouldn't know how it compares. Sounds like its working for you though 👍🏻
No mention of the humble rake, shovel and pruning shears 😢

Hello, have you experienced any issues with batteries going bad or losing capacity? I remember I watched a video from another lawn service explaining that failing batteries were becoming a serious concern (they used EGO tools). I wonder if the more commercial focused brands have such problems.
Hi there, all batteries will lose a bit of charge over time, it's unavoidable. However, I've not had any troubles with mine at this stage. The person you are talking about, Quiet Lawncare I think he had been using his batteries for quite a while when they started to notice issues. Thanks.

can the husqvarna 325 be left mounted on a trailer in an environment with heavy rain?
I wouldn't recommend that for any tool to be honest. Mine have gotten wet in the back of the ute on many occasions and have been fine but they aren't left out in the elements all the time. Cheers

I just bought the 325 and Bli300 with QC500 so the full starter kit ;-) however, is Husqvarna really delivering a prof charger which is not able to be mounted on a wall? 🤷♂️ Wtf is this? Or do I oversee something? With other manufactures like Festool, Bosch, etc this is always the way to go. Other question: can I leave the battery in the machine and / or the charger if the charger is not plugged in? Thanks in advance!
Hey mate, no worries. There should be two holes in the charger that go all the way through the unit. You just need long and thin screws and you can mount it to the wall. It's a different design but it works with the right screws. I normally take the batteries out of each when standing around for more than a day. Such as over the weekend. I think its fine to leave them in the machines but I just play it safe. How you finding it to use so far? let us know how you get on. 👍🏻
@@lovelawns The usage of the 325 is quite comfortable and I like the control buttons a lot. However, the power on/off button does not react always. Sometimes it needs 2-3 pushed until it turns the machine on. When I switch the machine off it works a bit better this way around. Is this a normal behaviour or a reason to return it for repair? Thanks a lot for your support!

@@davidsoliman2310 yes it’s the genuine shindaiwa one. You can put the smaller 375 on if you are worried about the motor but I’ve had no dramas.

Not in this video. That’s not what this video is about. A simple Google search will give that information. The main 2 batteries we use are the Bli200 and Bli300.
How about the Milwaukee company ? Who has more power ?
Husqvarna. It’s a 36v system as appears to 18v. Milwaukee is still very good tho
