- On June 4 2022, 19-year-old Rachel Hansen woke up to a stranger in her Gilbert, AZ apartment. The suspect shot her, then left, and Rachel later died at the hospital. The teen had been working for years as a horse trainer and had just moved into that apartment after living on a ranch. Nearly two years later, her murder remains unsolved, but her parents feel two odd circumstances in the days leading up to her death weren’t properly investigated.

This is so odd. She was killed in the middle of the night… shouldn’t there be nearby traffic cameras or surveillance cameras from local businesses?? Anyone driving in that area would be a viable suspect… not a lot of traffic at 2 am. It should be easy to narrow down the list of suspects. Crazy that there’s just nothing. Doesn’t make sense.
@@karenlee1130 that’s fair and I don’t know how much investigating the police did… only know the family had to hire a private investigator because the police weren’t doing enough. I know main event down the street has cameras that face that main road. And that’s only one place. There has to be evidence somewhere. Even if they walked… surely they live in the area or were still captured on camera?
How would you be able to tell what cars may or may not have been in the complex and how would you capture the license plate numbers? Most intersections don’t have cameras that record….. also …what if whoever did this came and went on foot?
That would require the investigators to work
No witness, no weapon, no DNA, no motive…..what are police supposed to go on? Also, mom wants transparency from the police but at this time if there are no more avenues to look down or rocks to look under what more are they supposed to do at this time? I read a comment in another article where someone said nobody asked to see her Ring footage. She then admitted that she waited too long and her footage was gone. Well….if so many people have Ring footage why didn’t THEY come forward with it? It also needs to be remembered that police don’t publicly comment on investigations in case they say something that could compromise the investigation or tip off the criminal that the police are on to them giving them a head start to get away.

The fiance? He was the last to see her alive. Plus she was engaged, then moved into the apartment, several months later. By herself.
What about her fiancée?
Wow. Kicked the door open? That’s a crazy move to pull. This person was high on drugs or rage to be at tht level of not giving a shit who may hear him kicking it open. Kicking a door open is never quiet and it’s rarely accomplished by just one kick. It takes at least two or three tries.
She lived in a gated community. The police haven't stated if the door was broken into or entered with a key. The last person to see her was her fiance. Who moves into an apartment by yourself, several months after getting engaged?
What puzzles me is this: Rachel moved into that apartment, by herself, several months after getting engaged. That's not normal, if planning a life with someone else.

@@toddh5028 hi Todd. Why did she get the apartment several months after getting engaged? That's what puzzling me here. If they are planning a life, they would've gotten their place together.
