@I rexzilla Actually, the steppe mammoth is slightly larger. But the biggest was the Asian straight tusked elephant or Palaeloxodon Namadicus, being a whopping 22 tons
Technically, the asian elephant the mammoth evolved from the a species in africa then migrated out of africa and the two species diverged when they did and continued migrating.
Interesting & an excellent likeness of a Columbian mammoth, but the title to this video was misleading. It should have been titled How To Manufacture A Sculpture Of A Columbian Mammoth" instead. Other than the misleading title, the only other thing I didn't like was that trick photography of making those workers move way too rapidly. In reality, no 1 can move that rapidly. Perhaps some people think that that's cute, but I don't. It just turns me off. Anyway, this video isn't the only 1 that has done that. Several other tv programs have done the same thing.
That’s just simply amazing.
I wish I could make clay figures with this amount of detail
I actually saw this while visiting the Omaha zoo

Короткое туловище , пропорции нарушены .
That’s how they were. Mammoths had very sloped backs that looked short and odd if you’re used to seeing modern elephants.
