Seriously every episode is just gold .....skateboarding has come such a long way... From being seen as a pastime for punks and criminals , looked down upon by the general public, to being seen for what it is, an amazing art form that celebrates perseverance, creativity, & community... This show really captures what skateboarding is....
the parts where the young one said how skateboarding is their life and how the young women were talking about how it’s hard but they love it was so touching
This is the coolest shit in skateboarding I've seen in a long time. These people just having pure creative fun with skateboarding...no fads, trends, just fun...
I'm stone cold, I don't cry ever, not even at family members funerals... but this made me well up! This is the pure beauty of skateboarding in its truest form. The epitome of overcoming any obstacle with love, fellowship and perseverance through self-expression! This is what skateboarding has always and will always be about. I FKNG LOVE SKATEBOARDING!
I’m an old guy now and I’m watching this on a construction site as I’m getting ready to leave and I guarantee my eyes look red right now because I’m tearing up. This is so pure. I love it.
I am an old guy now well past my prime, but I’m watching this just before leaving a construction site and I bet my eyes look red because they’ve been tearing up. I miss the days of pure innocent joy out with my friends, trying to figure out what skateboard can do. Not a care in the world. What I mean is I certainly had things to worry about off the board, but when I was with my friends skating, none of it mattered. This video is so pure.
This was my favorite episode yet. Grass roots shredding and insane natural talent. Imagine if they had access to everything we do.. we need to find a way to make that happen!
I’m so glad execs caught on to how genuine Madars is as a human. He’s the Anthony Bourdain of skateboarding. So great to watch him (and the communities he visits) on this journey.
amazing, the best thing about skateboarding are the friendships, the smile on the face, and the vibration with the maneuver of the other, skateboarding is life and saves, great to see children having fun with what they have, congratulations Gerald for your initiative and long life Uganda Skateboard Society, a hug from Brazil.
Dope. Loved it when the guy did the 360 boneless and didn't even know what it was called. It's like they're inventing the sport again. Can't imagine what these homies would be capable of if they had proper shoes, bearings, etc.
they'll be pro , Nike would love them and would like that he's from a different background , he or she will be a model for their communities back home.
Isn't it funny how Red Bull shows up to virtue signal & make themselves look good while leaving behind absolutely nothing to make skateboarding sustainable for these people? It's kinda like "here's a couple of setups to roll on for a few months until they're completely trashed and you have to go back to your life of poverty...enjoy!"
@@i-never-look-at-replies-lol they gave them more than a couples setups , shoes clothes, and build them a pole jam , rail and fun box. They inspired them spread love and I'm pretty sure redbull paid for everything.
@TheHevquip you clearly have never been to a third world country. Shit that lasts us a few months lasts people there years - if not decades - because they continue to repair it. Granted, it's not as good as it is new but they also don't have as much garbage/waste. Like Madars said, "the priorities are different".
This is THE DEFINITION OF RAD..... AND Muska if you happen to read this message : You my man .... You are the sh#t brutha!!!! Mucho Mucho Respect... You are changing lives by ur generous gestures.... And to the Red Bull crew... Respect!!!!
As an avid skater I can’t express how much joy it have me watching this video. It’s all pure love and very unique experiences which will changes many lives for the better. ❤️
I grew up watching skateboarding. Never did it myself but all of these guys are just living their dream and it’s really cool to see the passion and commitment is just unreal.
This is great to see, pure happiness on these people faces. We used to build everything ourselves in our little town in Poland back in the days when we were teenagers, we organised our own events with our own handmade trophies and this was so much fun. Now I am 32 and skateboarding is still my escape from everyday problems, this will never change. Peace!
Pure joy. At 57, I sill skate weekly. I was in Uganda recently and did not know this even existed. Best I get back. Thank you for inspiring these kids.
Second watch and I started crying. I broke my leg skating about a year (or two?) ago, broke both my leg bones attached to my ankle skating mini ramp. First thought was “am I gonna want to keep skating?” Once I recovered all I wanted to do was skate again. Seeing these guys go through life the way they do is such a beautiful, wonderful thing. These guys are some of the best skaters in the world, hands down!!!!
Wow. After undergrad I packed up everything I owned, sold it, and moved from Canada just north of Mokono in Uganda. This was in 2016-2017, so it was before the skatepark there was built. To see this is phenomenal. I would have visited in a heartbeat. I sent the link to Brian Lye, in hopes that he sees what a positive impact he has had on the country and skateboarding as a whole. My biggest regret is not bringing my board to Uganda, but I'm happy he did. Thank you for the episode. Beautiful, and very touching. ❤️
Its a really inspiring video to see how people in poor regions are just having fun about skateboarding and building stuff just with the materials they have. Really nice video!
I've been to South Africa, Mozambique and Malawi... I know how much initiatives like this are really necessary to avoid greater problems among people so in need... sometimes, what seems like simple propaganda, helps to save lives. Congratulations to everyone involved in this project.
This is what it's all about, loved it. Big respect to all of the society. Loved that it had to be a Canadian who left his setup. Uganda strong, one love
I truely think Spiritual Enlightenment thru Skateboarding is happening...!🙏
😭❤️ this is pure love and what skateboarding and being a good human is all about.
❤️🙏 We gotta find the guy from Canada who left his skateboard and tell him thank you for being such a kind and friendly person!!
🙌
Uganda gonna blowup skateboarding! please!

as a South African who used to skate, man this makes me tear up
It's nice to see that Muska's involved
I’ve never heard a bad thing about the guy. Only ever met him once back in 2001 and he was the happiest, friendliest guy ever.
OOOF! this one tugs at the heart strings. Skate strong Uganda.
This was my favorite episode yet. Grass roots shredding and insane natural talent. Imagine if they had access to everything we do.. we need to find a way to make that happen!
Thank you fam
i want there skatepark to grow time to donate a bit of cash to these people so they can keep shredding.

Great comparison. 👌
He's honestly like a really good fit for a reality travel show he pulls it off effortlessly. That's part of why I hope this could turn into a series.
Salute✌️
This one brought tears
i love the idea that the crayons the kids colored the box with also acts as waxing it too
I thought the same thing
skateboarding is the most beautiful thing in this world

I almost never finish a UA-cam video that’s longer than 10 min. I watched this to the end and was wishing it wasn’t over. Love it
Love what they are doing.
I bought a shirt to support because of this. Just awesome.
Love and blessings to Ugandas skaters ! 🇺🇬❤️❤️
this is so wholesome and dope
These guys rip! It's awesome to see how their approach to skating is different from the way we see it in North America
This is what 1990 was like in North America. Just “what can this thing do?”
Muska, Madars & Red Bull - there's alot of good in the skateboarding community! Pure love.
THIS VIDEO IS INSPIRATIONAL NO DOUBT. YOU CAN ONLY WIN BY GIVING. SK8!!
