@@rail_spike_productions it’s interesting that they had their mechanical bells replaced with electronic bells and all the rebuilt engines are upgraded with LED headlights and ditch lights
Yeah, the electronic bells are supposed to function better since they won’t freeze in the winter or wear down. LED headlights are also brighter than their previous ones
Weird that they store the flatbeds on the GJ and not somewhere else like BET/SHSY/etc. Also, did you hear about the 1858 + 4 bilevels north situation? I rode it the other day on that event train they did. Somebody saw it at South Acton today somewhere around noon, but it seemed to be a non-revenue just sitting on track 1.
He sended me a video at Lansdowne, it was heading to the 3.3 switch, but then I don’t know where it went after it left BET since I’ve never seen the switcher.
@MbtaVideoClips the flat cars were dropped off there by the north side work extra the day before, as the north side work train crew is not qualified to go all the way to readville. The 2016/1858 set was in Acton today for a movie shoot. And yes, as @XLProductionsAJR2024 mentioned I was out on Sunday for the grand junction move. 1116 brought that set + 2029 and 2015 to BET
It’s very awesome that MBTA is rebuilding their locomotives great that these GP40 engines had the same treatment as the F40PH-3C locomotives
I absolutely agree. They sure do have their problems but I do enjoy seeing these 50 year old locomotives still running around

Hermoso vídeo, gracias.
Wow that’s cool how they got flat beds of rail
Great Catch!😊

Thank you !
@@rail_spike_productions your welcome.

@@rail_spike_productions Hold up? A movie shoot? For an actual film shoot or something?
Yes it was some sort of big production. Film crews worked in and around the train
@@rail_spike_productions If you know what film it was used for, let me know because this is one of my favorite things to see.
