I've never found someone who also just knew "born to be a nurse." As I was starting nursing school I got chronic illness and my life was on hold for 2.5 years. I'm prepping to go back to school in January I've beaten the odds. Nothing will stop me from becoming a nurse.
I had the blessing of practicing my profession as an RN for over 44+ yrs in many different capacities, places & even overseas! If I had 2 do it all again I'd still pick Nursing! I love my profession. It has given me so many wonderful experiences with the ppl I had the privilege of caring for. I pray 2 God that they feel I did right by them. I will always love my patients! God bless them where ever they R today! I encourage those that want 2 enter Nursing please do! God Bless!❤
I'm a first yr nursing student and still nervous about what's a head. Even more cause I'm worried that I'm a "lily flower" and wonder if I can be a great nurse despite my timidness.
I am an international nursing student in Australia, and I always feel so much nervous in my clinical placement. Everything in hospital is totally different with the life outside.. Sometimes, pt's heat failure or shocks just make me so much feel confused because I have no idea what can I do for them. But.... all the nurses and doctors at that time were so professional and had confidence to do something for pts. I was very surprised, and I thought that I have to study more and practice more to be a professional nurse in my future. I am so much respect nurses and doctors, and i really wanna be a good nurse who can take care of patients well. i hope I can manage my feeling of anxiety in hospital as soon as possible (But Im still having that feeling lol).
Great video, really demonstrates what it is to be a nurse. Only part that bothered me was that all the nurses depicted here were women. As a male nurse, though I know we are the minority in the field, I felt a bit left out.
From lending a listening ear to applying a cool rag to break a fever, I've always wanted to help. All my life I've wondered how countless times. Part of me wants to try nursing, but i have no idea where to begin. Part of me wants to be advocate. I don't know
nurse is about sacrificing. we get tired still we get up and watch our patients, we get sick too but we care for others sickness. Proud to be a nurse .
Theyre legs are broken..theyre backs are shattered..theyre mental health is precarious ..you feel like killing someone..doctors yell at you..they abuse you because they can..then you go home and take care of the kids and clean up..I work in a hospital so I know how fucked up shit can get..also I live in romania..where all the system is fucked up..frankly just keeping sane is a challenge in itself
Is it bad that I feel I'm okay with comforting or witnessing dying patients? Like I feel I can go about my day(of course it'll leave an impact). With that being said I'm compassion and I love helping people, but I can also detach easily if I want to.
Thank you. Good job. I love being a nurse....almost 30 years now.

I love this video. It really depicts how every decision a nurse makes matters. Nurses are leaders.

Brilliant video. I absolutely love seeing the stories like these. Truly inspiring and it makes me appreciate what they do for us
Great video, reminds me of my ICU days. Now that I'm in CRNA school I get to do even more stuff but something about being in the trenches...
