My favorite story is the one of “Branch”. Probably how I would have done if I seen a wendigo, treat it like a giant cat and talk to it.

First story started kind of wholesome. Imagine if the only reason Branch entered the house was to find something that he could remember the guy by.
That's too wholesome for me-
Branch just wanted to be friends and was heartbroken when the only person who didnt run away screaming left him.

You ever wonder if the Human Part of the wendigo still sometimes takes over when the hunger is stopped briefly after major eating? Branch story is rad!
But the main problem is, the hunger is never satisfied, not even for a moment. That's their curse for eating human flesh, eternally hungry
I'm sure branch was likely wanting to kill him.. but what if branch simply admired artists and wanted so badly to learn. So he got closer to the human and would constantly watch her human. Perhaps that was also why he got angry by the human leaving.
True, his curiosity would probably stem also from the fact that he didn't react badly to the sight on him. (Most people "branch" would encounter probably either freak out or try and scare him off)

I think if Branch had wanted to kill him he could have easily when the guy was running away on foot, especially when he ended up asleep for a while.
Perhaps Branch wan't a "he", but perhaps a "she" 😏,and that's why branch mostly killed females.

On the second story near the ending parts...was his girl basically turning into a wendigo? If so dang bro, lost ya girl. Also the first story kinda confused me as to why branch took such an interest into the guy.

I've always been interested by Wendigo, ever since I first encountered the legend(or a form of it) in a book series. They were described as insatiable cannibals who were once men, unstoppable and with a nose for human flesh better than any hound. They became less and less human the more they fed and were unkillable. So the idea of someone just knowing there might be one around and not getting the FUCK out of dodge is definitely a "dont go in the basement" feeling

Im surprise the dude in the cabin manage to live far so long with Branch seeing him. I Assume Branch had a neighbor but I'm curious how he manage to be calm for so long I assume because distance was helping.
I think he just have steel balls. If i saw something staring at me from the forest , I would barricade all the windows and prepare to leave as soon as I can while this creature only showing interest and not trying to kill me. If I couldn't leave , I would place cameras to watch him with no risks.
Some people don't really feel fear about these things, and if I'm right, those on the Altruistic spectrum don't react in fear. And if, over time, nothing drastic happens they can normalize it - or even find comfort in it. There's a story were a boy talks about the monster living near his house, and while he was afraid at first, later he would intentionally go out into the woods and talk to it. Unfortunately for him, when his parents (suspected) caught a glimpse of his new friend they didn't feel the same way - and decided to abruptly move. Jokes on them though, because he told his told his monster buddy their new address and where they were going.

i was super into the third story with “branch” until he mentioned that the wendigo had antlers which is only something you find in pop culture not in actual native folklore
The whole thing is bullshit anyway. MC in the story is a male but if you check OP on Reddit it's a chick who wrote the story. That and no one would be sitting there with a Wendigo ransacking their living room narrating the whole thing every step of the way.

My cousin had multiple encounters with a wendigo over the course of several years since he was 15 up until he was around 21. He first encountered it when he was 15, he went to see if any animals were eating on some dogs he killed earlier that day and when shined his light on the second dog and white humanoid creature was crouched over the dog and turnded his head towards him and started screaming at a pitch that pierced your ears, it had no nose or ears and had pitch black eyes. It was tall and very skinny. He ran from the creature and he could hear something running after him in the tree line on the opposite side from where he seen it, then when he stopped walking it would stop but it was delayed. When he made it to the gate he unloaded his semi-auto 22 towards the sounds then he sprinted to our grandmas house witch was a good ways away, once he got home he didn’t say anything about it and went to bed. That night he felt like he was being watched. That was his first encounter but there were many more after that and they were all unexplainable. Let me know what y’all think

Oh no- the marriage counceller sucks! Me and my wife did it and it did not help at all. We just argued till doc d. og. man kicked us out saying "i wish i was on that collapsing bridge.
These stories were actually quite interesting and scary, the second story involving the guy and his wife I thought was really sad, losing someone you care about to this dark entity is heartbreaking and I'm sure you would beat yourself up for wondering what could have done to save them.

I was possessed by a Wendigo while living in Illinois, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. It is real, it will change your body into a strewn shredded structure, make your eyes see in the dark, allow you to see other peoples life energy even through walls, and the hunger for flesh was unreal, I almost ripped into my own arm to eat it.
Can you elaborate on this story ?

The story with Branch genuinely makes me sad. I dont think Branch wanted to hurt him, i think more than anything the Wendigo is one of the few Wendigos that is progressing. While staying a good 15 feet is definitely wise, it is sad but wise to not interact at all.
Or a wendigo stalking a new kind of prey, seeing if they would react violently to their presence before going in for the kill. If I had been the person, my first sighting of branch would've led to traps around the house and firearms practice to scare it away, if not getting the hell out of dodge immediately.

For the first story, did you catch the part where the girl's friends all thought they heard the absent girl cry out, but, as for the girl herself, she heard no cries at all? This provides evidence for what I have been insisting to everyone, ever since my own 2-day encounter with a Wendigo when I was a teenager. Specifically, Wendigos perform a POWERFUL form of Telepathy. When the friends of the girl heard her "cry out", what they were actually experiencing was TELEPATHY being projected at each of them, by a Wendigo. The girl herself, simultaneously, heard nothing (because no actual sound was emitted by anyone; and a Wendigo does not "waste time" telepathically projecting a person's OWN VOICE at them.) In the presence of a Wendigo, telepathy absolutely can take place. A Wendigo can project thoughts AT you, and hear YOUR thoughts, as well. Can humans, all on their own, initiate telepathy, with another human? To date, I do not think so. Can a human experience Telepathy, when in the presence of a Wendigo? Absolutely!

The Branch story was the best of this video, and I think one of my favorites you have narrated! Just started binging through your videos though, so I'm excited to find the next 'best one yet!"
The Branch story's biggest problem is it use of tenses. The person wrote the painter as narrating everything in present tense if they wrote it in a journal, and we the reader were reading their thoughts. However, the story is broken up into two updates by the painter, so everything should have been in past tense.
They need to make a cryptid hunter horror survival game
They actually did! And it's literally called "Cryptid Hunter". In the game you are out innawoods and are hunting a Wendigo!

The third story I found interesting. I always listen for the shadow stories. They are real, but, not talked about, enough. From 1983 to 1993, I saw different forms of manifestations, growing up on a pre Civil War farm in North Eastern Tennessee. The black shadows were only one of the manifestation I witnessed. They would move about outside as well as within the house itself. Their movements lead me to believe that there was purpose and motivation in what they were doing. On the property, there was a new barn and a very old barn that always gave me bad vibes. Later, I found out that a man had fallen head first into the cistron that sat right next to the old barn. He had passed, right their on that spot. They filled the cistron full of rocks after that incident. I played in that cistron, I was not aware. There were a number of deaths on the property. I was 10 years old in 1983 when we moved to that farm. The occurrences I witnessed are too numerous to retell here. I remember moonlit nights, when I would sneak out of my house, if I crouched down, be still and quiet, pay very close attention to my surroundings, I was guaranteed to see them. I guess I was fortunate to see these things or unfortunate. Hearing others tell their stories offers me comfort, at least, I wasn't the only one that saw them!

I’ve encountered a wendigo this is what happened I was staying with my parents in my friends holiday home which they let us borrow for 2 weeks. I had just had a fall out with my parents and I ran to the forest it was dark i felt a presence other than me I saw a deer stood still it looked at me and ran away I heard crunching and growling I looked behind and it was there a wendigo just stood there and looked at me and then bowed it’s head sadly and bowed down whilst looking at me and it laid down it was wounded I don’t know why but I ran up to it and used a leaf to wrap up it’s wound it was a gun wound. The wendigo began to make a sad dog like noise I suddenly heard footsteps and shouting wendigo hunters I knew it I tried pulling the wendigo to safety and suddenly I heard laughing and saw to men one saw me and the wendigo he ran over he looked very strange and then he chased away the wendigo hunters the man walked off i managed to get the wendigo to its home and walked back to my house. The next day I went to it’s home with the meat my dad had spare from his hunting trip I went and gave it to the wendigo I think I have formed some what of a bond with it it was time for me to leave the wendigo was healed and got up and and gave me some sort of a hug it was cold I never knew about that behaviour from creatures like that I have had multiple new experiences all positive with things like the wendigo
