I began this hobby a while back after watching many different creators share their products. It is a unique combination of mathematics, artistic interpretation, problem solving and puzzle building.

My father used to work leathercraft, belts and some saddle, he taught me some things about it, always loved it but never made me the time for working kn it, now I'm starting gathering his old tools and buying some new ones. I've done a few wallets, pen holders and keychains, getting better with each one.
I've found this is so relaxing for me, doing everything by hand, getting better with each project I start. It's a great craft!!

I’m trying to learn the craft to create gifts for family and friends. A handcrafted gift has invaluable meaning, leather could last for years, when I am gone my kids and grandkids could say they have something done by hand by their father or grandpa.

Вітаю! Кілька років шукав собі гаманець, який би задовольняв мене. Зрозумів, що мені подобається стиль "мінімалізм". Всі гаманці, що мені подобались, були задорогі для мне. Тоді я вирішив спробувати пошити гаманець самостійно. Переглянув багацько відео майстрів, і зрозумів, що зможу пошити сам. Придбав шкіру, інструменти і почав з найпростіших виробів. Переглянув кілька моделей та зміксував свою. У підсумку - маю той гаманець, що мене влаштовує, а також досвід і можливість дарувати рідним та друзям вироби, зроблені своїми руками. (you need a minimum set of tools such as a knife, glue, hole punches or an awl, needles and thread)
I always loved leather. Baseball gloves, father's briefcase, my career tools... belts, notebook covers, pouches, holsters, boots... Always maintaining and admiring it's aging lifetime with me.
Now that I'm retiring I'm dabbling into a hobby I've been chasing my whole life. Wow a relaxing non-contact career!
To be honest, I wasn't always into the leather, but it changed in 1 day. it was on this day that I started making various accessories and after 5 months I started working only with leather, leaving my previous work to which I devoted 10 years)))
