***** I do appreciate the entire saga, even if the prequels weren't as good as the originals. I was just saying that the Clone Wars series brought things that were lacking in the prequels, as the friendship between Obi-Wan and Anakin, the fun, the sense of adventure, some of the explanations that were needed in order to understand the events in Episode II and III as (Spoiler ahead!) the formation of the clone army, the order 66 and how Yoda managed to communicate with Qui-Gon Jinn's spirit.

Now this is more like it. Just finished watching the entire saga and was looking for some tribute videos. Most are amateur with horrible editing and intrusive sound. This is beyond epic. You've actually made the prequels look amazing. Not an easy task.
Really good editing for a great however underrated trilogy. George Lucas somehow managed to create quite possibly the most relevant blockbuster series of films of the 2000's with some other films of course, such as War of the Worlds or Minority Report (sci-fi, always here when we need it). To me, this prequel trilogy is the reflect of our time, so was the original trilogy back in the 70's. A war fabricated to justify full powers, and then imperialism and dictatorship, well, that reminds me of something.... George Lucas created a complex extension of the original Star Wars universe, way more subtle and less absolute than the other films, that is why I admire them. They pretend to be simple blockbusters with lightsabers, with cool or sometimes bad characters and cheesy dialogues but fun overall, well that is on the surface, because inside, when one truly look into them, there is a relevant geopolitical view of the world, even more relevant today when western democracies are shaken up by a whole series of attacks that benefit those who want power and control and security, who are ready to alienate the institutions in the name of peace. There is a warning in those films, and I thank George Lucas for having been that commited to his cinema and his art to deliver it so well.

Then I saw the Special Editions when they got released in theaters. I love the entire saga. The prequels were not great but I often think we look at the OT with rose-colored glasses . I actually didn't mind the political scenes as it helped me establish what was going on and what the stakes were. Anakin and Padme's love scenes while not the best and CERTAINLY needed better dialogue the romance was bleaveable. I will always love this franchise and just because I like the prequels makes me no less a fan. I'm sure in 2015 were gonna start seeing comments that the prequel trilogy wasn't as bad as we thought it was.
I totally agree with you if you want to call yourself a true Star Wars fan you have to love and feel all the Star Wars movies and don't look at the dialog but the story of a man that wanted love trust and respect but he did not have them except of love and finally he lost it all his life his wife his children his friends and transformed in to a cyborg monster with no feelings for 20 years then he hade a new chance to redeem himself by his son
I agree entirely with you. I loved the prequels. I was born in 1994 and saw the original VHS editions with my dad at age 3. I grew up loving Star Wars. I didn't even get to see Phantom Menace in theaters because of how young I was but I was excited to see it when it came out. Regardless, I loved the prequels just as much. For me the order of Star Wars movies in terms of my favorites is Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones, and Phantom Menace.
You know, on good days I like the prequels to a certain extent. It's really, really, really, really hard for me to overlook the bad acting and plot holes, but when I can do it, I enjoy them. When I was younger and had all six on DVD, Revenge of the Sith was my go-to Star Wars movie. Then Empire, then A New Hope, Jedi, Attack of the Clones and finally Phantom Menace. Even as a kid I didn't like Phantom Menace, and it's still the worst IMO.
Wow, the edit from Vader taking his first steps to a laughing Anakin was so stark. It made me feel emotional - like how I was in 2005 when I was 8. I loved prequels, and still do (more so now that with the sequels). Great video!
Whether you loved revenge of the sith or not, you simply cannot deny how amazing the ending of it is. After an entire trilogy, darkness wins. Palpatine rises with Vader by his side... he succeeded in everything he set out to accomplish since the beginning. Yet it ends with that spark of hope, a mirror of one of the most amazing scenes in movie history with Luke gazing into the setting twin suns of tatooine, reminding us that one day peace will be restored to this galaxy. It’s so poetic and says so much with no words at all...
+Gehrig Harris So don t talk about it, I have my opinion, you have yours. I like episode II, if you don t like, that does not mean you are a better fan.
The prequel trilogy is amazing! It showed how vast, beautiful and various the universe fo Star Wars is. The music and the story are amazing! May the force be strong with us
Man... this was fantastic, great recap up of all three films. You deserve so many more views ahah, I know for a fact that I always come back for more because it's so epic and well put together. I do hate it though how everyone always compares the new films to the old. If you're a true Star Wars fan, you will love them all no matter what, they all have different things to like about them! For example the dialogue and story telling is probably better in the original trilogy, but the action scenes and special effects is done quite well in the prequals. I just hope with these new films coming out, that they do us all justice and keep the Star Wars Universe amazing and mindblowing!!!
You are wrong, if we put aside the hypocrisy, double standards and nostalgia, there is not much difference between the originals and the prequels, the two trilogies fail in the same as well as the same, in characters, history, background and duels
+DoctorXander It's better that way. Too much chorus in Duel of the Fate. Here the retrospective is spectacular with just RAW ORCHESTRA POWER. No chorus = no cheating
The Force Awakens entire teaser trailer...and it is pure awesome! Goosebumps is all could feel! These prequels are....eh...ok. The OT on the other hand is the most spectacular film saga of all time. Each film of the three are pure magic, with charismatic characters and an unforgettable sci-fi fantasy story- even ROTJ is amazing! And the new trailer......Im just speechless. Two words for it- NOSTALGIA and AMAZINGNESS
What can I say? I know they are not the perfect trilogy, but they are my childhood! And even 9 years after ROTS they hold a special place in my heaer and always will. Spectacular video and editing BTW! I liked what you did with Anakin/Vader voice in the quote "I won't lose you Padme" :)
There is not a lot of videos out there that is capable of making me shed tears out of the shear beauty of it, but this one is certainly one of them. Hats of to you, sir. This is just amazingly well put together.
Stocky Comdt In context it's actually a sentence that makes sense. He's trying to impress his crush by philosophying about something? Well, I can understand that he would think it can work. Also, do I need to remind people that he was a slave on a desert planet (with endless horizons of sand a constant reminder he can't escape)? It even ends up with something funny "... And it gets everywhere." When he realizes he is too serious about it.
Love how at the end you used "Plans for the Twins" with the red Star Wars logo; kinda gives it a nice sinister and dark quality to this video and the prequel trilogy as a whole...
As the years go by. I realize more and more just how much of a masterpiece the prequels are. It's fall of Rome, rise of Nazi Germany, and in a lot of ways reflective of our time coming out right around the Iraq war.
Say what you will about the prequels, but in my opinion they are some of the finest sci-fi films and the special effects (for the most part) provide a fantastic star wars experience and the sword craft, especially in ep3, is fantastic.

You've made something I thought it would be impossible. You've made the prquels awesome. There's no Jar Jar Binks, and the Episode II it even looks cool (not original trilogy cool, but still...) AWESOME JOB.
Seeing people say they were born in 1994 or something like that saying how the prequels came out when they were young but they had the ot as well so they love both the same. I was born in 2003 and I didn’t know much else other then the prequels and I absolutely adore them to this day more then any other piece of media. You may call me rose coloured glasses because of my age, but prequel hate is an uncontextualised cesspool of regurgitated gripes that mean nothing held up to a lense of someone with 2 brain cells. I understand people may not like things and have different opinions and that’s fine, but the prequels are not bad, they never were, and many many people love them as much as I do. What do you gain from attempting to bring them down all the time? The prequels will live on for many years and are some of the best Star Wars has to over. (No shade OT :) )
The prequels were a good way to show how everything ended up to be in the original. Yes the acting wasn't amazing but it felt good. Out of all the them Revenge of the sith is my favorite it shows how the jedi were killed off, how the republic became the empire and how Anakin became the man in the suit.
As you can tell from my profile pic, I love the prequels as well. I think some of the actors delivered their lines poorly, but I loved the message behind these films. Even more intense than the original trilogy. This was a great montage! How did you get the soundtrack all lined up? Some of the voices are off though. Still, whenever I want to watch the movies over again without taking hours, I'll watch this again. And I'm going to share these with my friends!
Despite the first two prequels' misgivings, you have to admit, episode 3 shines through it's 2 predecessors' failures (Though is still not perfect, I love episode 3). Anyways, amazing video, and it is well done. 10/10
I agree with you Steven it is nowhere near as bad people make it out to be. Maybe because I'm not a SW purist but I could never hate these films. They are corny to be sure but the storyline is consistent throughout the trilogy. Great job with this video, btw, as usual.
I actually liked the tragic story revolving around Anakin, could've been acted better Lol! But all the same I feel a tragic story is so much better than a hero coming of age story. I mean, look at Luke, it's like he could almost do no wrong, sure he has his slip ups but he never fell. Anakin fell and he fell hard, but knowing how he came up in his life, you can't help but feel bad for him, and you always look at Darth Vader as this unfeeling badass, when in reality, he's the most tortured soul in the series.
ja ba Yeah, but I never said Luke was invincible. I said that he could do no wrong, there's a huge difference. Vader never felt invincible in the prequels nor did Luke in the original. They were both very vulnerable, although the causes were vastly different. Luke wanted to live up to a destiny that was told to him, but he didn't experience true loss. Vader tried to live up to the expectations and knew nothing but loss. He became the most tragic Jedi to date by trying to achieve his destiny.
Brandon Coleman I definitely see where you're coming from and you've made some really good points. Everything about Vader having a cold, hardened exterior but a broken, soft interior and Luke knowing nothing of loss(except, ya know, finding his Aunt and Uncle burned to a crisp, watching Ben die right before his eyes, Yoda, whatever. You're still pretty much right. He hasn't felt even an ounce of the sorrow, mournfulness and remorse Vader has) and Vader knowing nothing but loss, not to mention tragedies being a little more intriguing than stories with happy endings(granted, I do like the originals better),all mostly true to me.Although, I sorta feel that Anakin DID feel invincible in the prequels. That's a huge reason for his downfall, his tendancy to be overly confident and arrogant. Good ole' Palpy took full advantage of that and persuaded him to be fully absorbed in this arrogance. Look at the scene on Mustafar in ep. 3. Anakin had the tactical disadvantage before he gets chopped up by Obi-wan but he still goes for it because he thinks that because he's the new ultimate ruler of the galaxy he's capable of anything. He thought he was all powerful and paid the price for it.
ja ba Btw,Luke did get to communicate with Obi-wan and Yoda through the force, so I guess he never truly lost them, which makes you more right. But his aunt and uncle tho. OH and Biggs. Also, Anakin felt vulnerable after not being able to save his mother AND Padme( in a few other places too, like when he has to leave home in ep. 1), so more props to you there as well. And he truly was vulnerable whether he believed it or not, so yea.
The emotion of the end of the video is intensive
ikrrrr
I've always loved that scene at the end when it shows Vader and Sidious standing side by side. There's something so iconic about it
Travis Ryan right, I absolutely love that scene
The whole ending of that movie is perfect besides Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOO"
look at how they looked at the begining of the film...and how drastically that had changed by the end.
And Sidious is basically his father... coz he made those midichlorians do what they did to create anakin
no dude lol
As much as people hate the prequels, Episode III is the standout and deserves more recognition than it gets.

Even as a kid I didn't like Phantom Menace, and it's still the worst IMO.
Just.... no

Care to explain? I'm curious to hear your views.
Oh my god, tears are rolling down my face
Wow, the edit from Vader taking his first steps to a laughing Anakin was so stark. It made me feel emotional - like how I was in 2005 when I was 8. I loved prequels, and still do (more so now that with the sequels). Great video!
Literally the best Prequel montage I've ever seen.
I got more feels watching this ten min video then all of the prequels combined. Great job!
Someone's read Mathew Stover
Great!!!
I love all star wars movies, with no ranking, no espisode is better than other, they are all great.
+Raphael dias santana I'm just going to assume that you haven't even seen the prequels. Episode II is cancer.
+Gehrig Harris Do you really want to discuss it?
Raphael dias santana Only if you want to. I don't think any amount of discussion will make the film good.
+Gehrig Harris So don t talk about it, I have my opinion, you have yours. I like episode II, if you don t like, that does not mean you are a better fan.
Raphael dias santana No, it just means that I'm smarter.
the trailers gave me chills, fantastic job done
The prequel trilogy is amazing! It showed how vast, beautiful and various the universe fo Star Wars is. The music and the story are amazing! May the force be strong with us
Vell done. The moment from 2:14 till 2:24 is the most epic!
This was a beautiful video, thank you so much editing and sharing it with all of us!
This was absolutely amazing, brilliantly edited and put together!
Omg this is amazing!
Subbed and Liked! :D
Been waiting for this since I saw the original trilogy video, awesome work!
Wow. That was amazing, you actually made the prequels look like good movies
I love these epic retrospectives.
One of the best videos on UA-cam, in my opinion. Job well done.
Man... this was fantastic, great recap up of all three films.
+MightyBulls23 That is the "No True Scottsman" fallacy. You don't have to love all six films to be a fan of the brand. The prequels are shitty.
the boring originals were crap
@@marvelousTUD you are not all the fans and your poor, lazy and subjective meaningless comment that you impose is shit, what you write is a fallacy.
You are wrong, if we put aside the hypocrisy, double standards and nostalgia, there is not much difference between the originals and the prequels, the two trilogies fail in the same as well as the same, in characters, history, background and duels
Omg. This is just...wow. I got chills at the end. SOOO good! Great job!
This was cool, but how come Duel of the Fates wasn't used at all
DoctorXander Dammit you're right !!! I don't remember why i haven't used it.... Shame !
+DoctorXander It's better that way. Too much chorus in Duel of the Fate. Here the retrospective is spectacular with just RAW ORCHESTRA POWER. No chorus = no cheating
+koopanique Agreed
+koopanique I don't see how that'd be cheating. But having too much chorus might distract from the dialogue.
It is an epic score
Episode lll Is better than the Episode VI
you made the prequels look amazing.
That is something I have never seen someone do.
congratulations.
justo missing someone to make Episode 6 look amazing.
There is not a lot of videos out there that is capable of making me shed tears out of the shear beauty of it, but this one is certainly one of them.
Hats of to you, sir. This is just amazingly well put together.
I love the prequels
"Qui-gon's in trouble-"
"TAKE OFF!"
xD
The haters prove time and time again they do NOT understood many elements in these films.
We need one of these for the clone wars series!
Makes the prequels look good ... Good job, mate
+Sgt. Shy Guy The prequels were awesome :-P
+thibaldus3 ''I don't like sand.''
Stocky Comdt
In context it's actually a sentence that makes sense.
+thibaldus3 Just watch the Mr. Plinkett prequel reviews.
They're awesome
Love how at the end you used "Plans for the Twins" with the red Star Wars logo; kinda gives it a nice sinister and dark quality to this video and the prequel trilogy as a whole...
Steven Thomas. A powerful Jedi editor you have become.
This actually makes the prequels look good! Nicely done, sir 👌
Episode 3 was amazing. For me it was the best ending in an saga
As the years go by. I realize more and more just how much of a masterpiece the prequels are. It's fall of Rome, rise of Nazi Germany, and in a lot of ways reflective of our time coming out right around the Iraq war.
I like the prequels even with theirs flaws, still do.
Karim Labbée much better than Disney Star Wars
orginals have flaws all movies have flaws but overall there amazing
Say what you will about the prequels, but in my opinion they are some of the finest sci-fi films and the special effects (for the most part) provide a fantastic star wars experience and the sword craft, especially in ep3, is fantastic.
You've made something I thought it would be impossible. You've made the prquels awesome. There's no Jar Jar Binks, and the Episode II it even looks cool (not original trilogy cool, but still...)
AWESOME JOB.
Agreed.
Piratebay the attack of the phantom. It's an edit of episode 2 that makes it 10 times better!
I totally agree!
Still the best Star Wars retrospective and probably one of your best ones yet
The ending omg it's perfect
great trailer,,i prefer the original movies,,but the prequels are awesome also :)
davy j.y.
I, for one, will always love the Prequels more, but, at the end of the day, I adore the entire series! :)))
So refreshing to read that.^^
davy j.y. I love the prequels the most including the Clone Wars lol
Acdragonrider Videos i love them also,,its a shame they got rid of the clone wars though.
+Gustav Ramirez HAHAHAHAHAHAH! You're funny.
An incredible tribute to three incredible films! Good job, man!
Great Job, you probably make the best epic retrospect's on youtube, do you have any idea what films are next, so far you've picked great choices
I vote for Toy Story trilogy!
Much better than the sequels
Long live the prequels! They still are awesome sci-fi movies compared to some of them coming out today..
+14MovieMusic Jupiter Ascending anyone?
They're not even science fiction.. None of Star Wars is... They may be the most typical example of the science fantasy genre you can find in cinema...
The originals also have acting problems
At 9:22, it's like Padme knew that they will not end well...Brilliant editing.
Holy crap this is AMAZING! You actually managed to inject emotions into the prequels! You, sir, are a genius.
Fantastic Video, Man!!!!!!!!!!! Ilove The Prquels so much!!!!!!!!!!!! Thhanks for it!!!!!!!! Great work!!!!!!
prequels are great too. I really miss George Lucas.
This is a fantastic edit. Great job. Thumbs up and favorite. :)
Despite the first two prequels' misgivings, you have to admit, episode 3 shines through it's 2 predecessors' failures (Though is still not perfect, I love episode 3). Anyways, amazing video, and it is well done. 10/10
Episode 6 Is More doubtful than Episode 1 y 2.
This gave me goose bumps. Wow that was cool
They need to do a short of Sith Lord Plagueis and Sidious.
You made Phantom Menace look amazing! Great Job!
8:34, the fact that this line plays after anakin rolls towards the lava turns a very serious moment into a hilarious one
"Oh the irony!"
Wow... What an ending! Great job!
I agree with you Steven it is nowhere near as bad people make it out to be. Maybe because I'm not a SW purist but I could never hate these films. They are corny to be sure but the storyline is consistent throughout the trilogy. Great job with this video, btw, as usual.
That was amazing... Well done!
The Last movie was soooooo good! Watching these cause I need a fix. The new trailer just came out lol
The best Star Wars vid I've seen in a long time
This was beautifully made! Well done!
This video is so awesome! Thank you very much!
awesome video like all your others epic retrospective! love them! Keep going!
Once again an awesome retrospective!
How about some Harry Potter or The Godfather next?
A Harry Potter one would be brilliant
He has a godfather one
Aren’t you suppose to hate the prequels
Oh, This is simply brilliant!
damn! that was amazing! fantastic job! well done!
I love the prequels.
This gave me chill extraordinary!!!!
The prequels put the wars in star wars
Chills every time.
And he truly was vulnerable whether he believed it or not, so yea.
ja ba
Man that 1:37 mark is FUCKING BOSS!! #TheMusic
The title promised an epic video and indeed it was. And it still is seven years later
Now compare the story of the prequels to the sequels. The prequels are amazing! I’ve always loved them.
