I'm glad to see Dkayed still making Duel Links content, even though it's likely not as popular and thus not as profitable as Master Duel content is presently.
the monster trap card is for the quickplay spell, it relies on your opponent to have a trap card in their deck, since it requires to pop a trap to babuff your Jinzos, and then the other effect, so with that even if your opponent is not running a trap card it have its effect online.
I know a lot of people left Duel Links for Master Duel and we had less people conceptualizing new decks from this box, but people were really sleeping on these new cards. All we need now is for someone to come up with a decent Curse Necrofear deck.
@@ysldiorygo8936 Yeah, I've also seen Burning Abyss ones, but I feel like those are just less optimal ways to play those respective archetypes. A good Curse Necrofear deck would have quick ways to get Necrofear out as well lots of continuous traps, continuous spells, and Pendulum monsters to enable its destruction effect.

Tbh there is a great variety of decks in dl now. Jinzo, nekroz, burning abyss, phantom knights, qliphort... I mean its the best time of the app. Fast games, funny games... I mean Konami give me money and I will rise dl at the top again.
@@rleor5694 There is, yeah. But it's combos *can* be stopped pretty easily by basically any negate, pop, set, or bounce (assuming they don't have a second one waiting to go). As Gandora isn't a quick effect. But I generally still see about as much Harpies, Abyss Actors, Phantom Knights, Blue Eyes, Dark Magician, Nekroz, and a few other things as I do Gandora on average. It's just Gandora is new, so more people are experimenting and playing around with it atm.
Would be nice if your admins would actually work on the dlm site again. Virtually no articles posted anymore and the event pages are copied from previous events but never get updated so the info is wrong...

Judging by the amount of master duel players that watch Dkays content...... I'd say alot Better then having to spend your whole month's rent just to get a UR card because the game has no crafting system unlike Master Duel
Yeah it bugged me too, too many jerks that don't want to acknowledge that there are still plenty of other people that like to play duel links and would like to have some videos about that too. I like both games, but even on a time constraint if you are not VERY financially stable then Master Duel is just the better game. I’ve been able to make infinitely more decks on Master Duel without spending any money, and in duel links it gets very boring playing the same deck when you play so many more games.
I believe that the skill was made for jinzo-layered. If your opponent controls a trap card, you can tribute one monster and destroy one face up card on the field. Of course the skill sorta works with the quick play card, but why use it for that when you can instead pop backrow. Idk, the skill is sorta weird tbh.
The skill is made for the quickplay, the xyz, and for Psychic Megacyber. The intended combo is: 1. Summon Bounder to search Law. 2. Activate Law to search Psychic Megacyber, or summon Jinzo if they decide to set. 3. Activate skill to turn Bounder into Fiend Megacyber (Level 6), give them a monster treated as a Continuous Trap. 4. Special Summon the Psychic Megacyber you searched (or already had in hand). 5. Overlay your two Megacybers into Jinzo - Layered. 6. Steal, tribute, and pop your opponent's stuff. 7. (Optional based on your opening hand and/or if the opponent set a trap due to Law) If you summoned Jinzo off of Law and you were still able to make Jinzo - Layered without it, or if you brought Jinzo out by some other means, you can then set the quickplay for next turn disruptions. Giving yourself a pop, negate, or boost depending on what you need at the moment. The skill is meant to facilitate "full combo" for a Jinzo deck, regardless of if you're going first or second (or if your opponent plays traps or not). Unfortunately, we don't have Jinzo The Machine Menace yet (both a free level 6 special summon and a means of bringing out Jinzo from hand or deck) - so it's technically not *full* combo. But it's close enough.
I would prob also set the trap to reduce the deck but i would also choose the trap carefully. Only traps that can activate before summoning jinzo so no flood or bottomless etc. This ofc would mean i would need to deal with it at least once but if i can deal with jinzo i can then save myself for anything if the opponent tries to summon jinzo again.
Maybe the reason of why the tier decks look so weird is because there's not many TCG players in Duel Links since Master Duel came and the high prices of DL doesn't helps for diversity either to see the newest support shine.

That's typical now for sure, but streamers aren't a 1:1 indicator if something is alive or dead. MD went from 162K average player base to 46K in less than three months time via Steam tracking (which is the main platform used for the game vs Duel Links being primarily mobile) but I'd argue the game is very much still alive.

What I was pointing out is that the drop off in such a short time is concerning for them and more content will follow to compensate.
