Nice video explaining the steps. Im running stock injectors currently with I/RH/E and never ran out of fuel. But I plan to swap with RDX injectors once I get my RBC in
The bottom ends on the a3 cant handle the high compression from the different head no point in doing tbh you will just ruin your motor better off just swaping the motor
Can you just switch the position of the inner and outer pin from the rockers for it to crossover I've heard some people have done it but I don't feel 💯 confident......also why not get type s ecu with the original immobilizer from it and run the car or will it not work? Because I know a3 has thin rods so 7400 is as far as I'd go
AllOutProductions that is a method to do it with a type s rocker assembly. and you need a tuneable ecu to run this setup. no stock ecu will run it correctly
@@SilverGloves01 What do you means specifically switching pins? I have the tsx rocker assemblies but have no clue how to do it also with the k20a3 not having a loss motion spring spot on the head idk
Can you make an update video of when the motor goes that thing shouldn't last very long the a3 bottom ends cant handle the a2 heads to much compression and the a3 bottom ends arnt built for the rpm's of the a2 heads
I was baked asf when i wrote that idk what i was talking about lmao but no your right the only thing is the connection rods are too weak for the high rpms and the oil pumps are too weak and the oil journals are too small to properly lubricate so over a period of time different for each motor it will slowly just destroy itself
daniel dinkle well the rsx a3 has the type s oil pump from factory. and i’ve never heard of the crank having oiling problems. in fact this motor in the video has 200k and the bearings were all in perfect condition as well as the crank.
Finally . Someone willing to do the video . Been forever waiting for a video showed up . Thanks to you
Ikram Abut Talib you got it bro💪
Good info man most people underestimate the k20a3 they are still a good motor and reliable 👍

ThatEp3Guy thanks! and i was running 85-90% duty on stock injectors with just bolt ons. how good your bolt ons flow definitely plays a part.
Any I didn't know you had a channel great video bro!
HoodKnox thanks
@adam_dc5 What are the valve clearance specs that I need to set them to?
keep making videos !
Did you use the stock k20z1 cam gears or did you swap out to the stock a3 cam gears and put them on the z1 cam?
Bryan Zurita i used my a3 gears but they function the same
I have an A4 with stock head and lower end with the a2 cams are there any piston to valve clearance issues?
wouldnt swapping a a2 head be better? or atleast easier
zak Erman they’re both easy. the head swap is more effort. cams have to come out either way. and it depends on your budget
The bottom ends on the a3 cant handle the high compression from the different head no point in doing tbh you will just ruin your motor better off just swaping the motor
daniel dinkle changing the cams doesn’t change compression
@@johnpierce3569 many people have swapped the head no issues I've heard of son a3s making 200+
@@johnpierce3569 did you know the k20a3 head makes more compression than the other k20 heads... dont believe me you tube it

Do you use the trigger plates and cam gears from the vtec cams or the stock motor
oscar ruelas either ones
What kinda rocker u put

daniel dinkle lol first of all this is the stock a3 head. also if you do put an a2 head on an a3 you actually lose compression.

Cool video bro but u need 2 speak up abit bro ur abit quiet

Oh God not a fram filter.
Wrench Aholic works fine. it’s a stock motor 🤣
@@adam_dc5321 guess you don't know fram filter are known to over filter and clog causing oil starvation 🤣
Wrench Aholic i took this a3 to 8k regularly and never had an issue. all bearings looked in great condition.
