I find it very interesting how they actually had the option of making new designs for the animatronics, but ultimately decided to go for a more game-accurate look with all of them.
I believe the actor for Golden Freddy's ghost confirmed he was using Mike to get revenge on Afton so you might be onto there with him being aware of the killer while the other kids weren't.
@Sonicmid FredBear is Golden Freddy/YellowBear, I just call him that here cause well, that’s what his F.N.A.F.1 and 2 counterparts originate as in-universe. Also I personally call each version different by different names, 1,2,4, and 7. But I do think in the movie universe, the original, or at least a Pre-Withered FredBear will appear in the later movies because SpringBonnie exists, so he has to come from another restaurant that came before or around the time of Freddy’s.
Nice, I like the idea of Mike's little brother being like a guarding angle in the book. Basically telling him cryptically to just get out. I like that information about Vennessa talking with the kids in her sleep as this was implied in the movie when Abby talks to Mike saying "Yeah they say she is nice." Really heartbreaking as those kids were probably the only real friends Vennessa had. I wish the writer had not missed the fact that MatPat was 37 but oh well we all make mistakes. I'm looking forward to the next two films in the crime drama FNaF series. I can't wait to see where the story goes from here.

Considering Scott only stated that book Doug isn’t canon from this book I wonder if CC, who Garret is a stand in for, also never possessed any animatronics in the games and just simply haunted the place like in the week before. Honestly, I find the way Shreddy Fazchair is used to kill to be very vivid and disturbing in a way that competes with the springlock failure. Both are equally horrific, painful, and bloody as all hell. Both ways are rather.. intimate with the way they kill. Not in any romantic or advertiser friendly way, but in how up close and personal they are, to say the least. One ensnares you with sharp metal and plastic with such force capable of not only piercing organs but also bone, the other using exclusively sharp metal at rapid speed to saw through your eyes, tongue, gums, etc. while also breaching your skull and causing extreme damage to your brain.
