This is a 42" Casablanca Lady Delta ceiling fan in the Moroccan Sand finish, shown with a matching set of Moroccan Sand blades and a K1 light kit with a G502 mushroom globe. This fan features Casablanca's Slumber-Three pull chain system which offers (3) speeds and forward/reverse operation. The model number is 161818D and the serial number reads HV28182, which dates this fan to have been manufactured August 28th, 1987; being the 182nd fan produced that day.
The Lady Delta was introduced in 1986 as Casablanca’s compact model for smaller spaces and was essentially supposed to be a smaller counterpart to their Delta model lineup. 1986 was also the first year that Casablanca introduced their Designer Finish Series which at first included Ferrari Red, Designer Grey, Mauve, Moroccan Sand, Gloss Black, and Snow White. The Lady Delta was one of Casablanca’s more popular models and came in a variety of finishes with some being less common than others. Perhaps the most unique aspect of this Lady Delta is the Moroccan Sand finish which is essentially just a glossy almond-beige finish that Casablanca offered for a few models in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Like most of the other Designer Finishes, Moroccan Sand was more of a niche finish and was not as popular as the brass tones that were sold at that time.
Overall this fan performs just as well as you'd expect from a Casablanca during this era. Despite the smaller size, this fan is still equipped with a K-55 induction motor which really gives a kick to the performance. Overall a great compact fan in a really unique finish.
