Hi Steve really great video, have been following you for about 3 years now. Used a number of your ideas to do up my T5 that I sold for quite a few $$ more than I bought it for. Now I have the LWB T6 and it’s starts all over again. In Australia we don’t have many suppliers of after market VW gear however a company in Sydney “Kombilife” are now bringing containers of gear from TransporterHQ👍👍 So hoping to start off the mods with a Sportsline bumper, something THQ wouldn’t send to Aust. as it was too long to post. Anyway a big Thank You for the quality content you produce, the audio and video is always a high quality and easy to follow. As you call them, your Deep Dive videos are my favourite, pulling no punches with what you like and don’t like and explaining your journey like so many of us are on. 🚙🚙🚙👍
Hi. I am really pleased to read this and really glad some options are heading your way via kombilife…. I know we are very lucky and take for granted that these van parts are website click away over here. Keep up the great work and thankyou for the kind feedback on the vids🙌
Fancy those indicators myself. I did wonder about other companies selling the same thing but as we see more robust connectors. And love this vid of behind the scenes we don’t see.
Heya steve... 🎉 another great video and it's nice to see the van again looking great as ever... keep up the good work... nice one!.... cheers lots and much support to you :):)
Steve, Take a look at the Aguti swivel base aka reimo. I bought the aguti from kiravans a few years back. Just the passenger one. Retains the same height, more than pleased with it and I put the leisure batt under the drivers and kept that standard. Also used kirvans battery tray and brackets makes a neat job
Good informative video Steve , the joys of owning a t6 🤷🏻♂️ I’m just gaining you a heads up , I’ve just had to spend over £3000 on oil leaks fly wheel side and the belt side ,! Apparently the gaskets VW fit from around 2017 onwards fail ! My T 6 is a joy to drive , but honestly it’s been the most expensive and unreliable van I’ve ever owed . Sorry for my moan , keep up the good work 👍
Hi Paul, Ah sorry to hear yours has been giving you some bills! we had the same story with a golf TBF... sometimes you just have a needy one and then it will run for years. hope its smooth sailing from hear on for you buddy. 🤞
Hi Steve had same problem with my passenger seat wobbling to , have you checked for loose nuts under the seat , as mine where until I tightened the nut , just asking 👍🏻
Yes I am. I currently have 2 brands on, a pair of very budget one on the rear which I will upgrading as soon as these come off next month when winters go on and a pair of Falcons on the front.
You will pass the MOT regards wheels on any van that's got multiple seats (ie camper or kombi), if it's a panel van it won't - tried it with 2 identical ex fleet vans and that was the only difference, they don't care about LED lights they test on beam pattern and light spread, only caveat being you can't see the LED itself and it's behind a reflector or prism.
Hi steve mine was from JustKampers and has been just fine for 3 years now My van is much the same as yours I bought a T6, 19 plate indium grey shuttle bus 3 years ago and have gone through the same process as you funally enough before I found your site we must be one the same wave length, have lowered van so the poptop will go into multi -story carparks on Transporter HQ Belsteins comfort can't afford the air ride just yet! Hi Paul. Yes they do! It resets each time I Toggle the ignition but it can be coded off. I am going to do mine soon. Vagcom can code it off and make the dipped beam stay on with main👍. I am running the THQ H1 in the high beams👍
@@SteveField awesome. Thanks mate. I think my carista can sort out the main beams staying on with the dips. Not sure it's clever enough to code anything out. Keep them videos coming my man
Hi Steve a quick question about the rear lights you have , are the travel in lite ones better than transporter hq versions , I see that the thq ones are all smoked with no clear bits for the reverse which looks good but not sure about quality of travel in lite stuff as I’ve had some dodgy led interior lights , was just wondering why you choose them over thq , any help be great amd thanks for the how to vids
Hi Nathan, sorry for delay... So I cant really comment on the THQ ones as I have not seen them close up but based on the other products they do i would assume its of the same high standards. I went for the travelin-lite ones because thay were the only ones selling some at the time. Still very pleased with them too! 👍
So when you take off a standard version you can release the oem wiring from the lamp and it connects directly into that sealed plug I show in the video👌. So plug n play as they say👍
@@SteveField don't know what I have behind mine as t5 with t6 indicators. That's why I wondered did you chop the new indicator up to fit old spade connector or did you source the other end of the OEM connector from where
Ahh I see. So for me no cutting has been done, the ones I put on originally the spade connector slotted in where you would normally find the little orange bulb and so I just needed to pull that out, then unclip where the bulb holder meets the waiting and clip that into the new lights.

Thanks buddy. I’m impressed with connection in comparison and I’m always pleased with the parts from THQ👌.
@@SteveField do they just plug into the existing wiring from original indicator?
Love them indicators as been meaning to get some myself so thanks for the review
My pleasure!😎 Very pleased compared to the ones I replaced👌
Great video! 😃👍
Thanks! 🙌🙌
Excellent video as always

🙌Thank you for the tip!! I will take a look into that as a potential for next years camping..👍
I got a Rusty Lee swivel Steve...... i know Bognor sell some 3D printed chocks to stop the wiggle.
Cool👍. Will be taking a closer look at the rusty lees.

We had rusty lee bases in our last t5.1, shocking wobble.. our 6.1 had factory swivel bases and they are night and day better….
That's interesting. so its worth looking into what they do/use for factory. thanks.
Hi Steve had same problem with my passenger seat wobbling to , have you checked for loose nuts under the seat , as mine where until I tightened the nut , just asking 👍🏻
Hi Justin, Yes I did on a number of occasions but sadly it was not the issue with mine
Thanks Steve. So are you running 255/35 all round and if so what brand?
Yes I am. I currently have 2 brands on, a pair of very budget one on the rear which I will upgrading as soon as these come off next month when winters go on and a pair of Falcons on the front.

The old mattress is back out 👍🏻😂
😂😂😂 the trusty Baby mattress will always be under me somewhere 😂😂😂
what make was your swivel seat base mine has been fine for a few years now?
Mine is the RIB one.

Mines just had its first mot and it passed 👍🏻
👌always a great feeling even though they are very young in car years. 😎

Do you no if there is a switch on the doors for the interior lights n/s front door map light don't work when you open door but does on o/s door
Hmmm I don’t think there is! Might be one for the T6 forum that?🤔

My Rusty lee swivels are noisy , rattle ,squeaking , and they are supposed to be one of the better ones 👍
Interesting! Yes everybody does say that the rusty ones are best so I guess it’s a common issue with swivels.
@@SteveField Definitely, I think factory ones are the only option if you want them to be quiet and solid 👍
Mine was great what make was yours
What’s that buddy?
Yes any videos
👍
Oh even with the rusty lee seat swivels - they wobble - its horrible
Yeh...I figured it would do it too. I think they are all going to do it but being fussy as I am, I can only put up with it in small doses.
Weak resistance barrier 😂
What are you talking about?
🤣
