  • The Sur Ron are so versatile they'll never stop impressing us. Last week we were riding bike park trails with MTB-like flow.
    This time it's extreme hard enduro in the middle of the Spanish jungle, going down rocky river beds and gnarly singletracks. There is virtually no challenge these e-dirt bikes can't take.

      This is moto paradise I reckon. We're really lucky as there's this insane trail network that spans hundreds of kilometres, starting right down the street. It's different looking when we're in France, but the trails are magic too, especially in spring. Idk if you've seen the latest video, but the light looks light surreal sometimes 😎

    Feels like you would benefit from a disc guard! Great riding! I would say this is medium enduro at most instead of hard but you're doing it at a very fast pace!

      It's not the Romaniacs but the GoPro doesn't do justice to the terrain either.

    My favorite thing about a Sur Ron, is you nearly feel like your mountain biking while descending. But feel like you're on a dirt bike coming up to jumps and being able to go pretty fast.
    I've always wondered if electric riders are fine with the power as is or if they'd want a "clutch" like the electric motion has. Do you ever feel you'd need a clutch to slip or pop?

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  Рік тому +1

      Couldn't agree more! I would use a clutch if I had one for really technical trial stuffs, but 99% of the time it'd be useless and I wouldn't want to pay a weight penalty so better off without 😝

    What mods have you done to it? And which has been the best bang for the buck

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 роки тому +1

      I'd say that the cheapest things are the best bang for the buck: proper pegs, MX tyres, handlebars/stem adapted to your size, high end brake pads and a bigger sprocket will make you climb trees even with stock power.
      Next round is fork upgrade and high end brakes.
      Now if your pocket isn't empty yet, you can go for a battery and a controller, propelling your bike in a power/weight ratio of a 300cc.

      @@MTO_Brothers ok awesome. I've done everything up to the sprocket... what size sprocket

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 роки тому +1

      @@drfeelgood7289 Size sprocket depends on so many factors. Some people go to 60T+, depends on your weight and the type of terrain you ride. Also how much are you willing to trade in speed for torque… I like the 54T quite much, but I weight nothing.

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  Рік тому +1

      Depends on which brother you're asking! I (Quentin) weight only 50kg and am 170cm whereas Cyprien is 185cm tall and weights 80kg.
      Cyprien is a real fan of the Ultra whereas I'm more at ease on the Light. The thing is each one of us uses a bike about his weight, and that's the guarantee of good control at all times.
      That is for overall and usually technical enduro, on an MX track or high speed larger off-road, the Ultra is fine for me too.

    Bonjour,
    Merci pour t'es vidéos !!. Je suis en train d'hésiter à acheter soit la Light bee et la upgrader ou une storm bee qui est quasiment au même prix d'une Light bee upgrader. A ton avis qu'elle sont les avantages et les inconvénients entre les deux moto ? Et de ton point de vue qu'elle moto conseillerais tu d'acheter ?
    Cordialement

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  2 роки тому

      Ce sont vraiment des motos différentes. C'est sur qu'avec la Storm t'as pas énormément d'upgrades à faire. Cependant, en version équivalent 125cc, je l'ai trouvée poussive.
      Au delà de la puissance, la Light est plus de 2 fois plus légère et en maniabilité c'est le jour et la nuit. Ça dépend donc vraiment de ce que tu cherches et ta pratique. Moi je préfères 10x la light pour ma pratique, je pourrais pas rouler aussi fort dans les singles avec une moto de 100kg.
      Il y a aussi d'autres alternatives dans les deux catégories : BHR et Stark Varg (prochainement) pour les "full size" et dans la catégorie light tu as la LMX et la Drill One (d'origine comme une Surron upgrade).

    The only thing that puts me off about these is the fact your flying through rocky terrain at the same speed as a normal dirtbike. But you have wheels from what seems to be a mountain bike. I don't know if I'd trust those to not bend.

    • @MTO_Brothers
      @MTO_Brothers  3 роки тому

      They are actually 19” MX wheels and tyres. You have other mounting options with aftermarket wheels. I’ve recently tried an enduro mount with 21/18 and bigger tyres. Bigger wheels (and the fatter 18” rear tyre) help going over rocks, roots and things at speed. On the other hand the small wheels make the bike feel so lightweight and nimble.

      Salut Benjamin,
      Venant d'un 250 2t, il te faudrait une petite upgrade de puissance avec un contrôleur et à minimum un bypass de la batterie d'origine (ou nouveau BMS) ou alors (mieux) une nouvelle batterie pour pouvoir sortir 10kW.
      Tout le reste c'est du bonus ! J'essaye de traiter différents sujets (suspensions, freins, roues…) dans les vidéos "opinions" et donner mon avis sur chacun d'eux.
