Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "Sweet Dreams", "So Wrong", "Leavin' on Your Mind", "Walkin' After Midnight", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams".
GenXers and Zers need to pay attention to the old school music. When I was growing up, my parents listened to country and contemporary music. When I got my own little transistor, I listened to what we call today a station that played "mix" music. Country, jazz, contemporary, pop, blues, and zydeco on an AM station out of New Orleans. We were living on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at the time.
The heart-wrenching richness of her voice has a beauty like none other. There are very, very few women who's voice can reach that low range with such depth. She lives in the soul..... forevermore. ❤
She had that head band on to cover up stitches she had just had in her forehead because she was in a bad car accident that almost killed her. She was determined to continue to sing and so she produced this video of her new song. 🎶 I just realized she was born the same year as my mother. My mother looked very similar to Patsy Cline. Loved them both. Rest in peace, mama and Patsy. You are missed!
This lady soul. She made you feel. ❤😊 She died too soon as she was becoming big. I just love her voice. I can literally fall to sleep listening to her beautiful, humble voice.
Mrs PenPal...Patsy was my Dad's favorite from years way back...I cant help thinking of my Dad when I hear Patsy...you gotta hear more of her songs. Loved your reaction...A Fan from Texas
A voice like Patsy's comes along once in a generation; it just melts your heart and wraps around your soul. So beautiful. Loved your reaction, young lady. 💚
Nothing better than Patsy Cline.. perfection.. She had that thing on her forehead because she was still recovering from a car accident that almost killed her. It's so sad she died so young in an airplane accident. .. her voice was FIRE
I remember the days driving in your car listening to the radio. Walking into a saloon and all the wonderful times. Those are great times. I'd like to see a reaction to the song Eve of Destruction. Thats the song i believe everyone should listen to.
She wasn't killed in a plane crash. She died in a plane crash. Vocabulary is important. But I appreciate your post and your feelings for Pasty Cline. One and only. And I believe it's the number 1 karaoke song life is great ain't it. Pun intended
@@derrickconnolly9164 What I said makes perfect sense. The sudden stop of the plane hitting the ground killed her. Just because a person (or other animal) didn't do it, doesn't make it a wrong choice of words.
@@derrickconnolly9164she didnt simply die in a plane while it crashed . Your attempt to correct " vocabulary " failed She was in deed killed by said crash as op stated. Good try but no cigar .
You're our best friend, Blessing. Thank you for this lovely reaction to Miss Patsy Cline. She's wonderful and you are wonderful! I loved this reaction! 🤎🎤🎹
Could you please react to Aretha Franklin's performance of "Natural Woman" at the Kennedy Center in tribute to Carole King (who wrote the song). I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Walking After Midnight, and Sweet Dreams are two more of my favorites from her. There’s an amazing movie about her life. Starring Jessica Lang as her, but it’s all her vocals in the movie.
Patsy was my mother's absolute favorite. I heard her blaring through the house every weekend growing up. Not my style of music, but, I can still appreciate her extreme talent. It is hard to hear her still though.
Best Female voice, all time, any genre! other great hits, She’s got you, Sweet Dreams, Walking After Midnight, Blue Moon of Kentucky, I Fall To Pieces, Leaving On Your Mind, Stronger Than Me. What’s crazy is how long it took you to react to the greatest female singer of all time. 😜
Great reaction. It was once said that this song was the number one song played on Jukeboxes in saloons around the world. Not sure how they would know such a thing but, it seems absolutely true.
Willie Nelson wrote this song along with "Night Life" and "How Time Slips Away". That's a career for most songwriters. Patsy really didn't like the song initially and didn't want to record it but her husband and producer convinced her to give it a shot so she did one take and was done with it (until it took off)
Original title was Stupid. I think it was a producer that told Willie Nelson he should change it to Crazy. It could be sung with either word, or perhaps some other ones. Like, Insane, Foolish, Wacky, Kooky, Daffy, Psycho, Loony, and other words.
I am a 67 year old white male who love rock and roll Patsy Cline Loretta Lynn Jeannie c Riley are all great country singers and I love them all you might want to listen to Reba McEntire also
Willie Nelson wrote this song, you saw him singing in We Are the World. they call this a country music song, but it sounds more like blues and jazz to me. Poor Patsy died in a plane crash in 1963.
Thanks Thomas so many unfamiliar faces in we are the world I hope to get to know as we go along thanks for sharing i feel you this particular song is really jazzy
You got leaving on your mind , Sweet dreams, are just a Couple of Patsy Cline songs that you will love . Her vocals are so unique and beautiful. Such a talent but sadly she was killed in an airplane crash at 31 years old.
her voice was magic her life was hectic from abusive husband to alcohol binges just a wild life for a mom her and Loretta lynn were great friends her early death a tragady

She was so fabulous. One of the most beautiful voices ever. 😊
There was no one like Patsy Cline. She could inflect her voice to make it seem like she was crying. Fantastic!
Yes wonderful

Had she not died at such a young age, Patsy Cline would have gone on to record pop ballads as well. Her voice was that great.

The song Crazy was written by Willie Nelson.
Thanks for sharing! I did not know this for some reason. Willie really is a gifted songwriter.
Listening to Patsy is like bathing in liquid velvet. No one before her or since can grab you and hold you throughout a performance.
A true voice for the ages, we lost her way too soon.
The Richness and Soul in her voice is like no other. Whenever my soul needs healing, I put on Patsy 🥹🫶. Thank you for this lovely Reaction 💫

I grew up listening to Patsy. My mom grew up in her home town, mama's first husband even lived a few doors down from Patsy when they were kids.
The best ever, so sad she died at just 30 years old. Your reaction is epic...your heart shows!...love watching you!
Now you know why she was the queen of country music

Patsy told Willie Nelson she would record his new song, but he would have to change the title, which originally was "Stupid".
😂😅
All talent, no auto-tune

Patsy was my mother's absolute favorite. I heard her blaring through the house every weekend growing up.

...and singing this four weeks after envolved in a head-on car wreak, fracturing a couple of ribs and scaring her forehead. Headband covers the scars.
If you think Paths had a unique voice you should check out Timi Yuro. " What's the matter baby? " and " Hurt " are two great hits.

Still the number one song of all time by a female Country singer :) Ask anyone.
She had been in acre accident a couple day earlier and she sang with2 cracked ribs
What is amazing is that this was recorded way before autotune was even a glimmer .. that was all her.
You need to check out Patsy’s good friend Loretta Lynn. I recommend starting with “She Ain’t Woman Enough” or “Fist City.”
you should hear her greatest hits
Excellent after breakup song
Legend even though she was born long ago. 😊
I don't listen to country music. I listen to Patsy Cline. Listen to Walking After Midnight. That's the first one I heard at my grandma's house.
She was a true artist who died too young!,❤😊
This is your parents and great grandparents music. No auto tune, just pure music
Please review her song "Sweet Dreams". Thank You.
