On Arkham Wiki you can read that Joker blew up a school full of children and kidnapped children doing surgery on them. Putting body parts at differnt positions and making the parents try to identify their children. This leads to Jason Todd wanting to kill Joker, which then leads to Jason Todd being overwhelmed by Joker and being kept in Arkham Asylum. I say Joker is worst than Professor Pyg.
he cut all of them up then stitched all of their meshed up body parts together... I'd say the throne that Joker sits on is eerily similar to that of his crime against children because it's supposed to be a meshed up body horror fantasy that Joker had.... im pretty sure the throne has little toys which makes the connections seem even more connected
Pyg is more crazy but Joker is more evil. Pyg has the delusion that he’s helping his victims. Joker knows that he’s doing horrible things, he just doesn’t care. In fact, he actually LOVES the fact that the things he does are terrible and spread suffering.
In the Arkham games its pretty clear that Batman really hates Mad Hatter in particular. Out of all the villains in the series Hatter is the only one that Batman outwardly tells to go to hell, which in some ways could be a way of wishing death on someone. And if the subtle details about Hatter really do mean he does those terrible things it’s understandable why batman feels that way.
In the haunted knight graphic novel, Batman says he hates hatter so much because Martha read Bruce Alice in wonderland and so the hatter is ruining once of Bruce's last nice memories of his mother.
Jason todds story is probably the most disturbing since he was hinted in asylum and there are drawings on the wall, but the most messed up thing was in Arkham vr you can hear jason screaming and begging bruce to help him
Many villains as well volunteer to torture him as well and in many cases it led him to the brink of death, I think this was implied in Arkham storyline.
Pyg's dollatrons are MUCH worse than people realize. Not only are they horribly disfigured for life but the masks they all wear are skin grafted on their faces, so you cannot remove them unless you want to rip off your own face. There was even a comic story where one dollatron escaped Pyg but they sould never bear to take her mask off becuase she was traumatized at seeing what would be underneath it.
I love how they made Arkham Knight darker story because Batman and most of his stories surrounding him are extremely dark. The fact that they spent time putting in little clues to smaller characters and villains that some people don't know about but big fans of batman do was amazing
Jason Todd's story is so inherently disturbing to me that part of me wants an entire alternative storyline comic where Batman actually manages to save him from the asylum. Like he found him screaming in there but managed to bring him home and then the comic detailed his recovery, going back and forth between wanting to trust Batman and his burning anger and fear at Batman, or Jason doesn't believe this is real and it's another Joker trick but Batman has to convince him again and again, waking him from nightmares, Jason lashing out at Batman in moments of flashbacks, not unlike one of the alternate endings we saw in the Death in the Family interactive movie where Jason actually had the strength to stop and heal. I know that will never happen, but it's the heartwarming fluff that would be nice after this storyline
It's like they always say, never say, "never," my friend! When in doubt, always remember that somewhere out in The World, somebody is trying to battle against the persistent oppressiveness of Mainstream Dogma, and make that dream happen!!!!!!!
That's why the Arkhamverse is the absolute best adaption of Batmanlore. I'm re-watching TAS at the time on Netflix and yes, the show is fun. But ultimately it's just a kid's show, where all characters are just soft versions of their own. Joker gets whiny from time to time and never kills anyone. We have no darker villains like Zsasz or Pyg. (I know, the character of Pyg was invented in the early 2000's. Many fans prefer those softer Batmanlore, but I like Batman stories, when they're really creepy, brutal and have serious consequences.
Joker has ended countless lives and in the most sadistic of ways; torturing a Robin with implications he was raped by inmates, fooled a man with a sick daughter and let them both die, psychological manipulation, and infanticide? With hydrochloric “Holy Water”? In a church? Not to mention the other villains… Batman and I guess the rest of whoever runs gotham: “he can always change” I genuinely am curious as to what the Batman universe would look like if Gotham did have a death penalty
@@lakshaykochhar6799 honestly I feel like they think of this BS logic because they indeed don’t want to make their comics boring if all the villains just kept getting killed off XD
@@bearbbb12that’s exactly what happened. Batman used to kill in his very first comics. Granted, he didn’t end up killing the Joker, but that wasn’t because he didn’t try lol. They introduced the “No killing rule” so they wouldn’t have to keep making new villains.
they already had the darker parts since Arkham Asylum and onwards... the ESRB just goes on a surface level even though some imagery do showcase a portrayal of gore without actually showing gore like having loads of blood, disturbing imagery and tortued dead bodies... PEGI on the other hand are a bit more different since their 16+ rated games can be equivalent to a M for Mature ESRB rating but it can also be equivalent to T for Teens whereas PEGI 18 is basically only equivalent to M+ rating as well as an AO Rating.... Arkham Knight just dialed up its torture scenes primarily and i think that's what got an uprise for its rating system from both the US and EU... other rating systems from different parts of the world do it differently as well
There's no version of Pyg that ISN'T horrifying. Even in the mainline comics, he's still absolutely sadistic and cruel. He's one of the few enemies I kinda wish the writers had kept locked away and buried in their minds, rather than being put on the page...
Well, I wouldn't expect less from the mastermind Grant Morrison himself who created the villain. Only someone with that mind could conjur up such a character.
Everything I’ve heard about Pyg makes him sound incredibly disturbing. He hardly kills, but mostly mutilates his victims and removed everything that makes them a person, and then removes the free will of whatever’s left. The fact that I’m Arkham they’re still conscious makes it even worse, it must feel like your soul is trapped in a mannequin, unable to move and subject to whatever Pyg wants, which is even worse because if he is a rapist then you’ll probably be forced to partake in what he wants. Pyg is the most deserving of the death sentence in Arkham Knight, and the only person who might be as deserving is Joker.
On the matter of how he mutilates his victims, Pyg stands shoulder to shoulder with some of history’s most depraved serial killers, but design-wise, he feels like he’s been a part of Batman’s rogues gallery a lot longer than he actually has. He slides right in beside the likes of the Penguin, Mad Hatter, and the Joker himself. The comics have added a lot of villains since the Silver Age, and unlike someone like Victor Zsasz, who REALLY feels like a real life killer, Pyg has a gothic yet timelessness vibe about him that makes him feel right at home amongst the classic rogues.
The most insane part is that Pyg genuinely thinks he’s HELPING his victims. I think he’s completely off the edge and past the point of any possibility for redemption
7:55 yeah...Joker is no stranger to killing kids. In Arkham Asylum, he mentions infecting babies with the Titan formula. He says "I said I wanted the Bat stopped. Did no one listen? It's like you don't want an outbreak of Titan enhanced mutant babies climbing over Gotham."
Probably just a very dark joke though. However, the Matter of Family DLC confirmed he poisoned a little girl to cause his father to commit suicide so he could take over the amusement park he owned and use it as his base.
the fact that joker also killed a bunch of children in a kindergarden, wrongly misplaced their bodyparts to one another, and made their parents try to fix them back together with the right parts, while also mocking them by singing a song ab the children's limbs being cut :///
The more you see villains like Joker, Pyg and Mad Hatter, the more you realize that Red Hood is the future of Gotham. There is NO salvation for these sick people, they can only be stopped! This is why I love the Arkham games as much as I love the Marvel's Spider-Man games: Both are amazing franchises, with so many important details and deep stories.
I think it's implied by at least Arkham Asylum that there are higher-ups that keep villains alive to experiment on ways to remove the crazy from people. Not to mention events like Arkham City where he is deliberately part of a bigger plan.
The most eerie one has to be the Starro Easter egg, just knowing what’s starro is capable of and the fact it’s sitting there out of plain sight and nobody knows makes you wonder what if
Professor Pig is basically Leatherface in Batman universe and he's just as messed up and scary as that guy in a horror movie. Also one dark detail about Dollotron's.....after Pig's side mission in GCPD Lockup where henchmen's are kept, Dollotron's are actually in one of the cells...and they're just....standing there....watching you....and I feel it's creepy because a part of me (and I think Batman's) thinks that these are still normal people brutally mutilated for life, and sadly there's no way to help them.....geez that's so dark.
The only reason i wanted to play batgirls dlc was because of starro. I like the detail that when you enter the room you start hearing a pitching noise, like if starro was attempting to control you
@@UsoTeaMor She was willing to manipulate a father with a dying daughter then killed him after, everything in Harley Quinn’s Revenge, and helped the people that were turning into the Joker. Batman ships Harley and The Ridder
Too bad Arkham Knight couldn't include the ability to visit both the asylum and the city, to not only see what has changed, but also get clues on where Jason Todd has been tortured.
Realising how much disturbing stuff Harley was involved with makes it even weirder to see her in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as the same Harley from these games
I agree that Starro being trapped in that tank is truly creepy. The way the music plays as you stare at it is truly unsettling. If characters like Superman or Braniac didn't exist in the Arkhamverse, seeing Starro would give that undsettling feeling that we are not alone in the universe. That there is probably more of this terrible thing out there in space and might come to Earth.
On Pyg, It's mentioned that he had a mental break during his career. While the abuse from his parents was part of it, his mental illness (schizophrenia) made him even worse. The fact that he uses the word "perfect" when making the tape for Janosz, along with how he essentially butchered his mother, makes me think he SA'd the woman before killing her. Really dark stuff. As for the Dollotrons, I believe they disappear from their cells at a certain point if you bring Pyg in early. Tinfoil hat conspiracy here, but I felt that the GCPD euthanized the remaining Dollotrons due to their damage, which would have happened to them even if they survived the night. Pyg was never going to give that information willingly. Pyg's face being heavily scarred also suggests he tried surgically altering his face to be 'perfect'. In all likelihood, Pyg probably got the death penalty for what he did, and the Dollotrons were euthanized. They got the rawest deal out of anyone in the series, next to the Lunatics and anyone victimized by Joker.
I was wondering why the Dollotrons disappeared. I figured my game was just glitching out (Arkham Knight does do that, even on console) But considering what those people went through, I don't think I'd leave them alive, either. They can't be fixed - physically, mentally, or emotionally
They disappear after the assault on the GCPD by the Militia. I think someone said there's a line about them being mercy-killed, but I haven't found one yet. Though, if you were to look at their condition with Detective Mode, you can see that they're always terrified. And considering that the attack on the GCPD made everyone stressed, I don't think it would be farfetched to assume they all died from heart attacks and was transported somewhere while Batman was fighting the tanks.
My favorite hidden detail is how Anarky was supposedly killed by Croc. For those who don't know, Arkham Knight has a little alcove below Panessa Studios filled with a bunch of props, but has nothing to do with any of the game's multiple sidequests. There are also some Anarky tags throughout the entirety of Gotham City, with one of them being right by the little alcove. And just above that tag is an area with some torn down guard railing, giant claw marks, and a large reddish-brown stain on the ground. Similar stains can be found in the alcove, with some people believing the alcove to be Clayface's hideout, with the stains being a similar color to him, and with his past as an actor, but others, myself included, think that Anarky was using it as a hideout, due to the nearby Anarky tag, and he was killed by Croc due to the fact that Croc's lighthouse can be seen from the alcove.
My head canon about Ratcatcher is that instead of killing, Penguin forcefully employed him. He might as well get smuggled goods using something as inconspicuous as rats sneaking out of the City.
7:42 Most of the Arkham Knight comics are not canon but the Arkham Asylum and Arkham City ones are canon because they don't contradict anything in the games.
none of you should listen to what OP is saying... the fact that Rocksteady imo killed Arkham-verse batman considering how ambiguous Arkham Knights ending was especially all the contradictions within the lore like with King Shark and Deadshot
What are the more sad/eerie things in Arkham: origins was "the flying graysons coming soon!" Poster. Like just because we all know what is going to happen when they come to Gotham
Imagine a Gotham Horror game where your play as a GCPD detective sent to different points of interests like the amusement park or the asylum in order to track a killer who turns out to be an Arkham super-villain. The game could have you interact with Batman and Robin in some missions where they are tracking something else (that’s going on in Gotham) in the same mission. Could be a good way to introduce a new female hero (my brain is just imagining the chick from Control) or just a cool new character in general. Probably wouldn’t work with Commissioner Gordon for a number of reasons but it could be a cop from previous games, I do think it would work better as a brand new character tho. Potential Mission Areas: Seagate Amusement Park, Arkham Asylum, Abandoned version of Wayne Manor, Iceberg Lounge (maybe as a dialogue mission), Subway map (maybe set in a secret area near Mercy Bridge), abandoned orphanage, different areas set on the islands, etc. Cool alternate idea: a riddler story where Batman is doing his thing but Gordon assigns a new detective to do their own investigation. Edit: the hospital would be a cool map too.
This video was really fucking good. Always loved the creepy & dark atmosphere that Rocksteady set in the Arkham games. Hoping you make a sequel to this! I feel this will blow up in the future heavily
@@nathanadams7595 The arkham subreddit is so insane even goku fanboys who put goku against any fictional character they can think of have batman arkham subreddit nightmares lol.
I like how they made the Arkham games so dark, that nearly every character seemed creepy as hell. Joker looked like straight out of a nightmare. Scarecrow had two different designs and both were better then every Scarecrow version ever before and don't even get me started on Killer Croc. Even more goofy villains like Riddler looked more creepy and psychotic in those games. Or Starro. I would never say Starro is a creepy villain inside the DC universe, but his design and that sound you hear near him inside the Batwoman DLC was so terrifying. I even remember the advertising poster in Arkham City from the Rat Catcher. The poster looked also creepy as hell. They just nailed it and I would like to see more Batmanlore like this. I also think, that The Batman movie from Matt Reeves had that tone.
They're essentially reverse horror games, as you're the scary figure and you terrorize the NPCs in the predator sections. Closest thing we ever got to a Batman horror game is Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins multiplayer.
Love videos like this. The Arkham series does horror so well. Pyg is more insane than the Joker but Joker is more evil. Pyg is so delusional that he thinks what he does is “helping” and “fixing” people. Joker knows that what he’s doing is wrong, and he loves it even more so because of the pain it causes. He doesn’t have any delusions that he’s doing what’s right, he knows he’s evil and has a blast doing terrible things.
I've always felt the amusement park odd. There is something in the atmosphere of that map that made me felt unease and that something was very wrong. For real I felt like I was being watched in game all the time
Ima tell u the most disturbing one imo that isnt on this list, its that once we started playing batman arkham asylum for the first time in our life times and all of us loved it so much we come back to it every year or so (depends on who), and coming back to batman arkham asylum feels like home... And thats something batman was always afraid of, thinking that it could happen at some Point of his vigilante career.
Another thing that I think deserves a mention is that Strange drugged and brainwashed his tiger guards in Arkham city, while I am aware that this is just speculation, it’s heavily implied when you look at the tiger guards with detective mode, no matter how much you try and scare them they always remain calm.
Its not about the crime itself. In real life, we can successfully warehouse criminals and keep them from perpetually doing serious harm again outside of relatively rare situations such as prison murders. But Arkham (and prisons generally in DC) are basically equipped with revolving doors. In a situation like that, people like the Joker would absolutely need to be taken off the board if there were similar circumstances in real life. Even more so once you consider there is no doubt as to his guilt as Joker revels in his notoriety. Fortunately, criminals aren't issued get out of jail free cards when convicted in our worls the way they are in DC.
I never thought much about that baptism line much, but now . . . Oh. My. God. It creates quite the scenario in the mind, but I am choosing not to dwell on it for obvious reasons. Thing is, Joker would absolutely find it hilarious.
It’s really neat how much lore is actually in games like this. I always thought it was just Batman fighting villains but then you see it’s so much more than that. I really liked how you showed different clips and comic book strip pieces too that just help build a better picture and the subtitles help too Keep up the great vids 👍
I don't know why People hate Jason Todd's story in this universe, because it's one of the best yet tragic and scary stories in Arkham-Verse. This story and Burke's fate shows that Harley Quinn in this universe is not a victim, she's just as bad as The Joker. Also in one Tie-In Comic it was shown that Jason had a chance to sniped sick Joker in Arkham City but basically said....."Nah, I'll let him die slow and painful death" that's so cold and satisfying. And shout out to Troy Baker because in Arkham Knight he perfectly captured Jason's anger and sadness in his voice.
Jason also literally met Joker in City but he didn’t kill him because even while Joker was sick he still overpowered him and convinced jason to go after Batman instead
@@ArkhamverseJoker Yeah, it shows how Joker's true strength is not physical....it's mental. Jason despite hating The Joker, he's mind was still warped to hate Batman and Joker took advantage of it. Poor Jason
@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried88 Fun fact, Jason actually watched Batman and Tim Drake's Robin conversation after that Ninja got away. It was shown it Militia Main base in Batman: Arkham Knight. THAT'S SUCH A COOL RETCON
They literally brought it as close to torture porn as possible. How does Jason being raped enhance his character? There was plenty of that with what the games hinted at with the Joker torturing him. It's so dark, it doesn't add anything besides showing the audience how fucked up in the head you are at that point.
I got here through tik tok, and I just love your content, in Brazil we have few good content from the Arkham saga. And about the subtitles in the video, for those who don't know English very well like me, it helps a lot.
I don't think the comic about Jason being tortured is canon because why would he kill rat catcher someone who didn't torture him but he would work with two face and scarecrow who we saw in the comic tortured him
@@Hamburger-re3fw I don't think so. Jason's mask went red when he went to fight Batman so I personally think he wasn't planning on becoming a vigilante but instead the red mask was instead like his detective mod and the red was now just his colour
A small addition: The Joker tells Batman in the Origins prequel that a crazy man sold him an amusement park without specifying that he and Harley brought him to this.
That was before Joker had even met Dr. Quinzel. There is a probably an amusement park on the mainland. The whole comment was a reference to a comic book anyway.
@@dikastederook6380 You miss my point. They couldn't possibly be referring to Seagate because at the time Joker told Batman this story, he'd never even met Dr. Quinzel.
the thing with arkham games is that dead characters somehow fossilize in a matter of years like how tf did the theme park owner become a skeleton in what seems like a year or so
I'm pretty certain the Arkham Knight comics aren't canon, since they have Bane being killed by Jason, but in the actually game, it's revealed Bane is not only still alive, but left the country to return to Santa Prisca, recovering from his addiction to Venom and vowing to destroy the prison that made him what he was.
That’s one of the main things I first loved about the Arkham games as a kid-I discovered what lore was and kept digging lol……I remember being the only one that figured the idea that Batman was close to finding Jason in the Asylum-people in comments were calling me a reaching fanboy, now it’s comic accurate lore in itself!
Not a disturbing detail, but disturbing how much attention the devs paid, with how, when you look at Barbara with Detective Mode, you can see her shot through spine.
When I found the Ratchatcher Riddle, it immediately made me so sad. It felt so brutal and awful for anyone, especially considering he never seems to be a particularly bad villain in the games.
Ok whoever wrote the comics detailing Jason's torture is seriously fucked up. Making Jason go through all of that for over a year is disgusting and completely unnecessary. The stuff that was in the game was already pushing the limit. But then showing all the villains taking turns beating the shit out of Jason and then the hints at sexual abuse crosses the line. I'm actually disgusted by the people who created that. That was as close to torture porn as you can get. How does adding all of that enhances Jason's story? It doesn't. It was completely unnecessary, especially since this was happening to a minor. I despise rapists, and now I'm wondering which Batman villain did this company turn into a *fucking child rapist*. Good to know this company hates Jason more than the people who wanted him to die all those decades ago. Even those fans didn't wish for this kid to be raped.
That was too far that it feels to me like that wouldn't have happened. I do believe that since Harley Quinn was involved in Jason's treatment, that SA would have triggered her Alter-Ego Dr. Harleen Quinzel, who during the few times she emerges has shown extreme anger and aggression towards Joker. If Harley had witnessed that, I have no doubt that Harleen would have grabbed that crowbar and beaten the life out of everyone in site.
@christianfrost8660 that's the thing, *if* she witnessed that. She likely didn't know about it but I'm still disgusted and angry at the creators of that comic. Extreme violence and sexual assault are very sensitive topics and should be handled with care. A character shouldn't go through that unless it impacts their character and the story. In some of the other versions of this story, Jason still ends up hating Batman without having to go through all of that. So adding it in didn't enhance anything.
@@christianfrost8660I think it’s because they made this verson of Harley meant to be more evil rather than just someone who’s abused and can be redeemed after all the things she does with joker, but I didn’t think Arkham Harley was a assisted rapist, but not suprised. She’s almost as bad as joker and they both already kill and torture kids brutalizing Jason, so if she did see it, I don’t think she’d care, but I fear that her and joker were probably later aware of it. I think most versons of Harley would care, but this one, not one bit unfortunately. but worse is that according to this video, Arkham Harely used her ‘Quinzel’ persona to purposely make a man commit s*icide after his daughter died. It seems like she uses her alter ego to purposely hurt people more than help them, so even though I do think she may go ‘Quinzel’ mode for Jason, it may only be to hurt Jason. Someone in the comic room really didn’t like Jason, DC you can’t even blame the fans for this one.
I like the idea of Harley not being kind and very redeemable, though I will admit Jason getting assaulted like that did come as a big shock hearing that. Then Batman be wondering why Jason’s so fucked up and wants to murder about every villain and goon in Gotham.
@@anotherrandomguy8871 Harley was just using the identity to con that man. Arkhamverse Harley Quinn as well as many other versions suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and schizophrenic episodes. As seen in Arkham Knight's DLC Harley Quinn and Harleen Quinzel have become two different people. Her mad love psychotic sociopathic personality and her rational compassionate personality. Over the years of abuse that Joker has subjected Harley to, Harleen has developed a deep hatred towards Joker and on rare occasions when Harley is at her most distressed her original persona has come out and tried to kill the Joker. Harley Quinn might not care about sexually abusing a teenager but I have no doubt that it would have triggered Harleen.
the skeptic in me doubts Joker and Harley managed to capture The Starfish i know they're cunning , but so is Starrow , Must be a replica to fool people
Fear is the most primal emotion, so the Dollotrons experiencing it doesn't seem all that shocking, and Detective Mode bases it purely on heart rate, which is something that could be influenced by a lot of things.

George RR Martin states comics are a major influence on A Song of Ice and Fire, and Deacon Blackfire is likely an influence on Prince Daemon Blackfyre. Deacon Blackfire acts like a corrupting demon (daemon) and is described as a cult leader and there's an almost cultish reverence for the Blackfyres in ASOAIAF.

You're probably correct on the blackwater theory being a catholic church. But it could also be Baptist church where you're not baptized as an infant but as an adult. And a lot of southern preachers are baptists
Something I quite like about these details is that a lot of them don't have too much attention drawn to them: they're either implied, off-hand comments or details that you have to find yourself; because, to me, it really shows how normal it is for the events to occur, making everything that much more darker
Pyg is the Batman villain who truly terrifies me the most. He's absolutely fucking insane. And what he does to his victims. The idea of all the progress I've made in my transition being brutally taken away by a madman just fills me with utter horror.

Thatd be amazing tho ngl

Not to mention the other villains…

There is the death penalty in Gotham. Arkham Origins’ opening in black gate has the calendar man narrowly escape death by gas chamber.
I'm glad they made Arkham Knight M. It really allows them to get to the darker parts about Gotham and the Batman mythos.
they already had the darker parts since Arkham Asylum and onwards... the ESRB just goes on a surface level even though some imagery do showcase a portrayal of gore without actually showing gore like having loads of blood, disturbing imagery and tortued dead bodies...

I like the fact that the theory that he replaced her eyes came only because of bad animation in her face 😂
The red hood is genuinely what Gotham needs. Joker, Hatter, Pyg, and most of the rouges gallery deserve two in the head
Wait you're Arkham? Like Amadeus Arkham who built the asylum?
@@SOBEKCrocodileGodCorrect, he would be institutionalized. He is one of the few Arkham villains who actually fits the legal definition of insanity.

However, the Matter of Family DLC confirmed he poisoned a little girl to cause his father to commit suicide so he could take over the amusement park he owned and use it as his base.
when Oracle talks about jokers messages with dr young, she mentions joker sent several disturbing images to her, including an image of a dead baby
the fact that joker also killed a bunch of children in a kindergarden, wrongly misplaced their bodyparts to one another, and made their parents try to fix them back together with the right parts, while also mocking them by singing a song ab the children's limbs being cut :///
How Joker never got the death penalty is crazy.
The useless justice system
He did got what was coming to him at the end of Arkham City. Better late than never.
He pretends to be insane to escape the death penalty.
I think it's implied by at least Arkham Asylum that there are higher-ups that keep villains alive to experiment on ways to remove the crazy from people. Not to mention events like Arkham City where he is deliberately part of a bigger plan.
New Jersey doesn't allow that and gothan is in New Jersey

On Pyg,
It's mentioned that he had a mental break during his career.
I figured my game was just glitching out (Arkham Knight does do that, even on console)
But considering what those people went through, I don't think I'd leave them alive, either.
Gotham doesn’t have the death penalty
When villains like Joker, Crane, Riddler or Zsasz never got the death penalty, then Pyg also won't get it.
@@sanjayraju988 It did in Arkham Origins.
There’s also a story about Joker, Jason and a kindergarten in Arkham Knight, you can read it if you find a riddler trophy. That one was horrifying
Similar stains can be found in the alcove, with some people believing the alcove to be Clayface's hideout, with the stains being a similar color to him, and with his past as an actor, but others, myself included, think that Anarky was using it as a hideout, due to the nearby Anarky tag, and he was killed by Croc due to the fact that Croc's lighthouse can be seen from the alcove.
that's actually from a cut side mission involving victor zasz

Potential Mission Areas:
Seagate Amusement Park, Arkham Asylum, Abandoned version of Wayne Manor, Iceberg Lounge (maybe as a dialogue mission), Subway map (maybe set in a secret area near Mercy Bridge), abandoned orphanage, different areas set on the islands, etc.

I’m I the only one who gets a weird unsettling feeling when playing these games
No am right there with you they're like horror games but not at the same time and that is why I love them
They're essentially reverse horror games, as you're the scary figure and you terrorize the NPCs in the predator sections.
Closest thing we ever got to a Batman horror game is Arkham Knight and Arkham Origins multiplayer.
They're definitely no stranger to creepy undertones, given their start was Arkham Asylum.
I think the first two were way scarier though
You made me want to play the Arkham games again and really listen to every dialog said. Amazing video, CANNOT wait for Part 2!!
Joker in the Arkham series is next level evil also where is the implication of Jason being SA
9:58
Love videos like this. The Arkham series does horror so well.
Pyg is more insane than the Joker but Joker is more evil. Pyg is so delusional that he thinks what he does is “helping” and “fixing” people. Joker knows that what he’s doing is wrong, and he loves it even more so because of the pain it causes. He doesn’t have any delusions that he’s doing what’s right, he knows he’s evil and has a blast doing terrible things.
I've always felt the amusement park odd. There is something in the atmosphere of that map that made me felt unease and that something was very wrong. For real I felt like I was being watched in game all the time
This was fantastic! I also appreciate that you're one of the rare UA-cam channels left that has uncensored content!
I also love the fact that scarecrow before being chewed on by killer croc says he will drown Gotham in fear toxin
Another thing that I think deserves a mention is that Strange drugged and brainwashed his tiger guards in Arkham city, while I am aware that this is just speculation, it’s heavily implied when you look at the tiger guards with detective mode, no matter how much you try and scare them they always remain calm.
I mean, it's confirmed that that is what he is doing when you listen to Mad Hatter's tapes in the game, since Hugo convinces Jervis to help him out.
Also those lunatics in asylum are just his failed experiments.
Seriously, joker was one of the only villains i would have executed at the beginning of Asylum
Morality gets thrown out once you kill kids
Its not about the crime itself. In real life, we can successfully warehouse criminals and keep them from perpetually doing serious harm again outside of relatively rare situations such as prison murders. But Arkham (and prisons generally in DC) are basically equipped with revolving doors. In a situation like that, people like the Joker would absolutely need to be taken off the board if there were similar circumstances in real life. Even more so once you consider there is no doubt as to his guilt as Joker revels in his notoriety.
Fortunately, criminals aren't issued get out of jail free cards when convicted in our worls the way they are in DC.
"....have a great day!"
Welp, I'll sure try after all that! 😅
The most disturbing detail is that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is canon.
I really liked how you showed different clips and comic book strip pieces too that just help build a better picture and the subtitles help too
Keep up the great vids 👍
@Witch_Hunter_Siegfried88 I know but Jason still met joker in city
@@ArkhamverseJoker Yeah, it shows how Joker's true strength is not physical....it's mental. Jason despite hating The Joker, he's mind was still warped to hate Batman and Joker took advantage of it. Poor Jason

A small addition: The Joker tells Batman in the Origins prequel that a crazy man sold him an amusement park without specifying that he and Harley brought him to this.
That was before Joker had even met Dr. Quinzel. There is a probably an amusement park on the mainland. The whole comment was a reference to a comic book anyway.

the thing with arkham games is that dead characters somehow fossilize in a matter of years like how tf did the theme park owner become a skeleton in what seems like a year or so
I'm pretty certain the Arkham Knight comics aren't canon, since they have Bane being killed by Jason, but in the actually game, it's revealed Bane is not only still alive, but left the country to return to Santa Prisca, recovering from his addiction to Venom and vowing to destroy the prison that made him what he was.

Now i believe that rojer can be a good successor to the late kevin

You're probably correct on the blackwater theory being a catholic church. But it could also be Baptist church where you're not baptized as an infant but as an adult. And a lot of southern preachers are baptists
5:52 the funky thing is this could’ve been Clayface since in Dec-Vision he has no bones
Okay seriously why the f*** would anyone want to live in Gotham it's literally the closest thing to hell on earth
The Kidnapped Girl saying "No, it's not" could mean Mad Hatter did literally anything. It's amazing how much you've read into that.
Something I quite like about these details is that a lot of them don't have too much attention drawn to them: they're either implied, off-hand comments or details that you have to find yourself; because, to me, it really shows how normal it is for the events to occur, making everything that much more darker
I feel bad for Jason, even if he becomes a pretty bad dude.
Pyg is the Batman villain who truly terrifies me the most. He's absolutely fucking insane. And what he does to his victims. The idea of all the progress I've made in my transition being brutally taken away by a madman just fills me with utter horror.
I just played Asylum for the first time as it was the only one in the series I hasn't yet played. I remember Barbra mentioning how Joker sent a picture of a deceased baby to the doctor making the titan formula. I felt so disgusted as my mind began wondering how he would be in possession of such a photo. Maybe the Batism comment here could have been when, but just the idea alone unnerved me
It werid how scarecrow tortured Jason a bit at the asylum and then in knight Jason starts working with scarecrow
Jason was definitely planning to double cross Crane. It’s easier to kill someone when you earn their trust, meaning they won’t be expecting your betrayal.
In the comics scarecrow was the only one who didn't torture him. He just looked at him.
Idk it doesn't seem they left certain things out because it doesn't make sense. Bane and calendar man would have for real killed him it's just too extra
your pretty much right with all these points rocksteady could try making a horror game and god dang it it would be disturbing maybe
I had either missed that audio about the park builder or had forgotten about it. Really drives the point home how evil Joker and Harley are.
I don't know if these are a complation of shorts but impressive you talk this fast without shuddering
