Hey J thank so much for the review! mine was tarzan and it helps so much to see the paint over and explanation of why you are changing it. keep doing your thing i love your channel!
blender is my "home software" but i use maya sometimes, mari sometimes (especially when substance designer isnt quite getting where i want it to be), all kinds of render engines. i genuinely think blender is a much better box modelling option then maya and you often can even fix up you zbrush sculpts later in the pipeline whne you cant be bothered to go back with blender. it really is a hidden gem.
It would be great to know if the artists who submitted their portfolios for evaluation would get a position and what level they would achieve (junior, mid or senior).
Hey J, Thank you for the review of my work and all the valuable feedback. I'm Kuldeep and I was review #4. You got my name right too! Your skin microdetail brushes and tutorials on youtube were a gamechanger and I am very grateful for the work you do. 🙏
Yoji Shinkawa said solid snakes design was inspired by JCVD's body and Christopher Walken facial structure. when i saw the picture and got the reference right away. Really epic work
Hey Jay. Question for you, with the advancement of AI, do you think its still worth trying to be a character artist? I am yet to land a character artist job because of a lack of portfolio (although my skills are getting there). However It's hard to maintain motivation now with the worry it will all be in vain.
Hi just a simple question here...Is it possible to lunch a successful career as character artist for game and vfx on remote basis in European region or USA,Canada is better for that?
@@artofjhill maybe it is because art is all about subtlety which beginners do not understand. giving feedback makes me forget subtle contrasting elements while working
"Cheater" hahaha, that got some laughs out of me. Nice vid Jay and good job everyone on submitting their works.
Please do post more content like this, really informative stuff thank you.

Christopher Walken voicing Snake isn't something I'd ever considered, but it would be hysterical.

21:57 I can see the polygons baked from the High Poly on her chin. That is a mistake you can explain how to fix :3
soften normals or increase polycount
Loved this! Where can I submit something for a future review video?
Glad you liked it! I posted in the Discord asking for people to respond with their work they wanted reviewed. I also do this for channel members

2 videos ? in short time looks like leading in a studio and teaching is not paying rent lmao
❤
How did you add rim light in Photoshop. What trick it was.
Duplicated the layer and made it white then offset it underneath
@@artofjhill thank you
What the hell man number 3 just trying to flex on us plebs ahahaha
Im sorry for everything I’ve done 😂😂😂😂
BARAN YILMAZ O YEAHH
i believe looking too much to beginners works is kinda dangerous, or maybe its just me, but it hurts my work the day i give feedback😅😂❤
eh? how can giving feedback to others hurt yourself? constructive criticism helps everyone

😟 I use Blender and Nuke...but work pays for Nuke, because, no. 💸💸💸
I was the first to post but didn't got on the video 😭
Noooooo. I’ll get you in ep 2

What's this "Blender People" stuff. I use whatever I can get my grubby hands on! But seriously I can model faster in Blender then Maya.
Unnecessarily smug
That MGS is awesome choise.
