I used Zbrush to do most of the modeling, Some texturing in Substance Painter, and I finished everything in Maya and rendered it with Arnold.

I can't think of other words besides a simple "Thank you". You are breathtaking
YOU'RE BREATHTAKING!
the man is inspring! Go for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As someone who's interested but never took the time to learn 3D modeling, the subsurface texturing is mind blowing! It's really subtle if you are not deliberately looking at it, but it definitely sells the realism.
excited to watch this later. thank you king
edit: every bit as good as I was expecting. another killer video
I would pay to see the full tutorial workflow from start to end product of this project. As a animation student I need to know how to make characters like this, it is amazing!
you're one of the best for me with Raf Grassetti! Thanks for sharing your time and your ideas.
She's amazing!! Love seeing your workflow, thanks for sharing!
Love your process (and the piece), man! Can't wait to see more content!
i just spent 40 minutes in complete awe, i love watching tutorials of things i couldn't achieve in 5 lifetimes
Haha glad you enjoyed but you can achieve good results too with enough time and practice
Absolutely excellent breakdown
THIS IS LOOKING UNREAL ! But when you see how much goes into sculpting and polishing shaders, it's worth it
Edit: Glad you came back to YT :D
gorgeous work
I would literally pay for a tutorial of this... love your work!!
Thanks so much J!!! This video is my Xmas gift!! :D
This came out so well brotha it blew me away when I first saw it on artstation and now to see your workflow it scratched every itch I had about this project. Thanks for all the concise info man keep up the great work and stay blessed homie 👊🏻
Thank you for the comment homie, glad you liked the work and the video
Fantastic as always man, this is great stuff
I just wanted to say that I enjoyed watching your video and also learned a lot from you as well. I really liked the part where you went into the skin and the hair in detail. I wish you a happy holiday and a happy new year!
thank you! Glad you liked it and Happy New Year to you!
40:36 that render was so good, so photorealistic, looks like she could pop out of the screen. Great video as well, tons of little gems in here. Wouldve never thought to tackle make up the way you did
Thanks, glad you liked it my dude
Wow man. Looking at your workflow, and just analyzing the steps you go through... It makes me understand so many things I didn't consider as much in previous projects. Thank you very much sir, for your work!!
Awesome to hear
I learned so much things on your video ! Again, great job i love this character ! Teach me how to be better in Zbrush ! 😂
Glad you learned some things

40 minutes very well spent.
for us 40 minutes, for him more than 4 hours possibly
@@caioemanuel6672 a week probably
Killer! Really appreciate you explaining this Master Piece!
I bought myself a graphics tablet yesterday so I could play and I found your video today. It made me realise that I have a LOT of work to do if I want to be anything like you knowledge wise. Talent is another world entirely. Incredible work, thank you for sharing it.
thanks, have fun making stuff and keep at it!
Love your work man, thanks a lot. Keep it up.
Great work man! very beneficial details!
J man this is easily one of my favourite pieces of art in 2020. It's iconic, especially the blue light version. I didn't even play cyberpunk but there's something about this one that is special. Great job and if you make a print I'll buy it instantly, nice big center piece in my room 100%. Great job.
Thank you man, I'm glad you like it. I've been asked about a print a few times and I may do a limited run. Follow me on instagram @artofjhill so if I do one you'll know
Thank you VERY much for posting this video; it's full of seriously pertinent information!
That was really freaking dope! You hit us with a lot of stuff. Terms i've heard of but never given a clue what they're for -- like Unwrapping. I'm new to this 3D thing. Like i'm at the house, but not unboxed yet. Plus the fact you used a reference board and organized it as you did left a great impression on me. I'd never heard of one before.
glad to hear it!
Dude, you are a machine! I love not just the process but the knowledge I got from the video. Great video!
glad you got some knowledge
Incredible work, seriously awesome!
Thank you! Cheers
Thanks for sharing your process!
amazing work man wow!
texturing in Maya...you absolute madman!
This is crazy, man. I really hope you keep doing this videos!
glad you liked it. I'll keep going
You just need 5 seconds watchtime to know that this guy is a beast in zBrush GODMODE. Thanks bro.
Excellent guide, love your work.
glad you liked it, cheers
Thank you for providing great content J, it honestly makes me sad to see people be mean in comments against artist like you, because the little skill i have in this field has required many hours of grinding and passion and seeing ur skills i cant even think how many hours you have grinded. I just want to say thank you for providing content only artists that know how much work this requires has only respect for you providing content. Thank u again J, srry for long message. Keep being awesome man
Thank you for the message bro. Keep grinding and striving to be better and you'll continue to grow. Haters don't matter. Happy New year to you and I hope your next year is better than your last. Cheers
Great video. So much effort for one image! Worth it
Amazing work!! we can tell the amount of time you put in to 3D just by seeing you sculpting the face with no symmetry at all. I will have to work very hard to be at this level. Thank you for inspiring me
just keep working at it! cheers
I think I never learn so many different things about zbrush, masks, shaders in a 40 mins video . Amazing.
Glad you learned some things!
awesome awesome work man !
This is really really great man ❤️
Each time you do a project the whole Instagram explore shows your render to me.
you are one of the best,
hope you best
Thanks. And thank you to instagram
Great content, with a very honest take, with all the process overview! really awesome!
Thank you, glad you like it
This was so amazing!!!
Thanks a ton. Love your videos and you break down things so well that we can understand them! Love some more detailed vids on skin and hair workflow. Your lighting is next level and omg displacement workflow would be great. It’s the thing I couldn’t get working properly when trying to bring a character from zbrush to maya, and my detail gets lost. Look forward to your future vids and projects!!!
thank you!
Would love to see the shading & render part more. Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
awesome breakdown, thanks for sharing!
For sure glad you liked it
This was sooo fricking awesome to watch! Thank you!!!

I wish I had even 10% of your technical skill to manage something like this, holy shit... This is insanely good! I just managed to get Arnold to work for my very first solid piece on my portfolio and thought I was a God, then I saw this :D I can only hope that one day I do stuff with the quality of this piece, damn!
So detailed! Satisfying, Love your videos!
glad you liked it!

Your vids are so informative and insightful thanks so much for making this!
Thank you. I've been asked that by others too and I think making an XGen tutorial makes sense. Glad you liked the vid!
