Great help did a driver's side regulator UK car, just another tip, no need to disconnect the wiring in side the door near the strike plate, instead unplug the little green connection on the air bag, unclip cable ties and thread wiring through the alloy panel.Great video thanks again
I will be attempting this job on my 06 UK Boxster next week. The only thing I worry about is getting is lined up properly and the air bag going off! How did you get on?
Thank you so much for this!!! Very thorough! My passenger side regulator went out today and this really helps as I took off the aluminum cover and when I saw what was inside, I thought , OH NO! Cant wait to find out how much the regulator is!
Thanks for making this video, couple of differences on the UK spec 07 987, both outer and inner card fixings are all T30, the 3 regulator screws are T25 and the door pull T20. I could not get my big hands inside to remove the wiring connectors in the bottom right hand corner behind the inner panel so I cut the cable ties holding the loom under the airbag and removed the rubber grommet, this gave me enough slack cable to lower the inner card out of the way.
This video is great and helped me quite a bit. It was clearer than most and very well done. One thing you could improve is show what a pain the stupid snaps, that attach the panel to the door, are to remove. Feels like you are about to break the plastic. Otherwise a terrific video.
Just a note on the airbag safety precautions. The airbag can be set off by simply shorting the connections 12v is all that's needed to give you a new 👃 job.
Just a word of advice any body fitting a window regulator to a 2005 987 boxster they are different to the rest of the 987 models from 2006 to 2011 , I had a right game trying to fit the wrong one then ordering another and that was wrong , broke the first one lucky they changed it got another one and that didn’t fit , it was only after talking to a guy at a breakers yard that told me Porsche in there wisdom fitted different one for 2005 model 987 you can tell the 2005 ones because have green caps on end of cables. ...this is probably going to be the same for the 997 2004/2005 ...models , have fun it’s a ball ache job just take your time and worth ordering new door card clips off eBay ...

Can you do a video to show how to remove and replace rubber seal for the drivers door please my fella has a cayman s, 2008 his drivers window seal isn't great. So he's brought a rubber giant seal (looks like a snake with bent angles for the window). If you could help or help me tell him what to do if be so great full the car is his pride and joy. Personally, I think he should get a professional but he's really good but it's a Porsche I'm scared he could do damage over a door seal. Safety first fancy car after. Thank you.
