I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.

Built in bbq’s look great but in reality they are a pain to clean properly. I have a Weber genesis E435 and when I want to clean it I just wheel it to the cleaning area and dismantle the burners and out comes the jet wash. Looks brand new when it’s done. That said you have done a nice job although I would worry about a hot bbq next to a wooden structure.

I would have made the opening for the grill wider to accommodate cement board on the inside. That would have provided a little heat insulation to the wood as that grill was never intended to be completely enclosed, especially with bare wood.

Great video the outdoor kitchen looks great from a relatively simple plan.
What puts me off is all the tools needed to complete this, not every average DIY guy/girl has all the different various tools in their garage just waiting to be used. Unless a skilled craftsman which i see you are, people don't want to spend so much on those tools to use once.

Yes.. We are in the process of buying a house with a brick exterior that has an outdoor grill built on the outside right up against the wall. We just had the home inspected and the home inspector said that is a huge fire hazard. First off there is a huge blackened grease area on the wall from the grill being used.. and a wood pool cabana right above it. Our inspector said its a huge FIRE Hazard🔥🔥. They recommended the grill be at least 3 feet away from the house. Brick or not its not safe at all to have a grill sitting up against the house.
