Answer to your question: maybe because they love someone else or maybe because some men think that they are good, which is not true, but they are afraid to recognize it and keep saying that their women left the good man and chose a bad one haha. Because what you see is not always what you get. Diana was as her brother said in his speech at her funeral.. Complex..Only those who knew her know how she really was and if you read between the lines when those who knew her talks about her, it comes over and over again that Diana wasnt an easy person to know.

It’s so nice to see them during happier times, we always hear about the bad during their marriage but I believe despite everything they had some happy and wonderful moments together.
At the very beginning of their marriage they probably were happy. However, Camilla was in his life already. Princess Diana knew or at least had heard about their romance but she was in love. So, she decided to fight for her husband. After all she loved him. So, sorry for her.
These weren't their happier times though. This was all an act for the camera and public... by this time they were both seeing other people.
Happy times? She had to produce her happiness under his miserable pressure.. until he managed to get rid of her.

Also, it was hugely overwhelming for her and being that young, but I do think her family ( spencers) was not supportive at all as well. I don’t think we should blame the royal family for everything. After all, she threw herself down the stairs while pregnant with William.
She had a lovely down to earth personality and the world couldn't help but be drawn to her. The fact that she was beautiful, and the camera loved her, was just icing on the cake. She will always be our Queen of hearts.
I think that was the problem. The cameras loved her and ignored the Prince. Maybe she should have stayed in the background sometimes. Prince jealous? Probably. Human after all. But we see today how Camilla never outshines him, not because she isn't as beautiful but like the late Duke of Edinburg , they knew their places and kept within their roles. Yes, I too admired Diana , wonder if we would have felt the same if she was just ordinary looking. In later years, after the divorce, having 2 rival camps trying to outshine one another which was much more Diana's doing was appalling to me. Yes she did a lot of social work , truly for whose real benefit?

He would have been the actual prince secure in himself and loving to his wife, but NO, He was just too jalous and had no natural flair. Listen, her work is unmatched, charities she helped had earned 300-400% percent of what they had before Diana took them on, so definitely the charities benefited, there are films of many of them saying how annually they made maybe 5000k, after she started helping they had half a million a year .... so there ....

I’m fascinated by a fact that Charles didn’t fall in love with Diana, she is so pure, so timid, yet she’s very charming and definitely has a strong wit, how does one not get infatuated is beyond my comprehension.

In the aristocracy the concept of marrying for love was incomprehensible. Marriage was for forming alliances and brokering peace between rival states. Romance was something that happened behind the scenes with mistresses. That's the world Charles was raised in. He wanted to marry Camilla, who he did love, but they wouldn't allow that and pushed him into an arranged marriage with Diana, who they thought would be good for the profile of the royal family. He explained it to her before they got married but for whatever reason she couldn't handle the arrangement.
@@Anurania technically and generally speaking yes but elizabeths father "broke" that tradition meaning they encourage dating people from aristocratic families until they feel they should wed, Charles and Diana dated for a minute (less than a year tho) before marrying, probably because Camilla got married before they got together but either way its not like they were just thrown together, Charles wasn't man enough to keep his marriage together and Diana was too stubborn to give into Charles' needs that camilla gladly gave him

There was always another woman in the way of the man she loved.**

Diana had stated in a much later interview (that was released after her death) that right after the birth of Prince Harry, Prince Charles felt he had done his duty in having the "heir and the spare" and moved full-on with his relationship with Camilla. This really enraged Diana but she focused on her children until they were sent to boarding schools then she began to seethe at Charles' rejection and angered that while her every move and every encounter with male friends and such was monitored and scrutinized, no one called out the elephant in the room which was Charles' affair with his mistress.
@@creativewriter3887 Diana started an affair with James Hewitt around 1986.. and it broke up for a while, then she had a brief fling iwht him agian after the Gulf War. the rumours that the marriage was in real trouble started coming out in the later 80s by which time both of them were involved with other people.

@Huw Wilson I'd ssay that its truer that he did love her briefly as he was clealry attracted to her nad drawn to her but when they got to know each other better, they realised they had very little in common and were not happy. Perhaps some couples might have worked out a relationship that was OK, but they did not find much common ground.. and Charles had had a happy love affair with Camilla.. and Diana was very lovely and flrity and it wasn't hard for her to find other men who admired her...
Princes Diana just glowed!!! Her smile and eyes just shine! She was way too gorgeous for her husband! Had he not been the Prince of Wales, who knows if they would’ve ended up together.
This was a sweet video, brings back the love they did share, very obvious in this little piece.
but I still how much of this was contrived and ordered by "the firm" to put on a happy face and get on with it in a show of unity.

I'm. So sad to watch how happy they were and how things turned out. She was such a beautiful person who was dealt sad sad end. I'm almost in tears. It only needed genuine love, and appreciation to change the ending. She deserved so much better. God bless her memory. She remains one of my unforgettable people in life.

This is such a genuine interview by them both; you can see how they have a genuine fondness for each other's foibles. You can also see just a little hint of the age gap and how they view things; Diana more playful; Charles more guarded and held in by the RF rules of engagement despite he being so far ahead of the times with concerns about food; farming etc. Very sad they could not make it work and/or end it more amicably as I think it was in them both to do it.
Yeah, well, when your husband has a mistress, it makes it hard to part amicably.
I have exes I'm still friends with. The one ex I couldn't remain friends with was the one who cheated on me.
Apparently, they were amicable in the years before her death.

Charles was seriously ahead of his day being a borderline vegetarian, expressing his concerns about the environment, speaking of things like organic agriculture, and displaying new age type of spirituality in an incredibly close minded, prejudiced and dogmatic western society. He was really mocked back then for it all, and yet stood his ground, good for him. He was the future, and Diana was a girl, a kind hearted beautiful girl who tried to catch up with a much older male who had all of these very forward ideas, as best as she could. This interview shows her being supportive of his ideas, and that she would have done a great job at being at the forefront of all that with him, as clever and eager as she was. If only their personalities had been a better match they would have been really good partners. The rest is History; but this was a lovely video nonetheless, and a very sweet moment in both of their lives as a couple. I want to believe that had she not left this planet so early, they would have found a way to become friends later in life.
Yes so good to see them both getting along just fine joking, laughing at and with each other. But marriage, all of us, have needs, these change as we grow up, older. Pressures on Royalty enormous, am glad
Charles has now a good friend in Camilla, they love and support each other. Would wish same for Diana. She was a good woman. Wish she was here to set Harry back on right path, hopefully, she would find a charming way of despatching the Megwitch.

@@aewtx No it was the personalities. Literally every historian says they had completely different personalities, causing a ton of friction. To quote the Crown, "Charles is older than his years, Diana is younger than hers, which makes it not an age gap but an age chasm... They both come from similar aristocratic backgrounds but their personalities come from different planets". And no this was not happier times, there are times they are joking, but also it was obvious they were both incredibly uncomfortable.

They already were getting on 100x better in the months before her death. She even quoted saying that after everything Charles had put up with, he was "a truly noble man". They seemed to be already be putting things behind them. On Williams first day at Eton, Charles complimented Diana's legs, saying how lovely they loomed

A much more relaxed interview, I remember the photograph in the newspapers that you could pull out showing them not long after Prince William was born. They looked so happy.
of course they were happy at the birth of their first child. But their happiness was always fragile and within a year or 2, it wore out.

I think this was a better time for them because this was coming off the heels of her pregnancy with Harry. Diana stated that the best time of their marriage had been while she was pregnant with Harry.

Good point. Diana said a lot of things. Contradictory things. Especially when she was frustrated. The press picked up on the ones that suited them to create a narrative. Even her Panorama interview was inconsistent. It is odd I never hear anyone comment on the fact she said she took ‘50% of the blame. But no more than that.’ I don’t it was her being gracious. It makes no sense if it really was a set up. She was all over the place, depending on her mood.

See..she was even careful at first about their relationship. She was supposed to be such a good support for him. I mean if only he gave it a chance and supported her in a way that when she feels anxious, he should be there and make her feel secure instead. This makes me cry really. It was all wasted just becoz of that affair.

Well she has a few masculine features, however she has a feminine charm, style and kind of aura/vibe. Her expressions are also very elegant and almost childlike and innocent.

I have never seen this interview! As a huge princess Diana fan and admirer, I find this interview both sad and glorious at the same time.
