Smart 453 Media System Software Update

- I have had numerous 453 smart cars where the clock can't be set, after much searching I found that the Smart Car Dealer website has an update with full instructions which should rectify the issue, here is my latest update, this was for a UK vehicle, so if your elsewhere you may need to find your country's update.
Unfortunately it looks like the link has been taken down, I did find another link in Germany, but as im unable to test it i didn't want to share it here, all I can do is suggest you search with Google.

I noticed on mine it displays the time but it is incorrect and when I go to settings I cannot adjust it. Seems like I have to do the same thing you have done! Thanks so much for your kind help! Do you know if this update changes anything else? I’m desperately trying to find out if I can get the CarPlay installed on it somehow. There are various CarPlay dongles that might work but no idea at the moment :(

Hi Simon my Smart 453 media touchscreen has muted audio, even if I press the mute button it still remains on mute with the mute symbol on the Home Screen. Have you a solution please?

I have a 2016 Smart Four Four.
I need to replace the battery but am likely to lose the radio code once battery is disconnected!
Where do I find the code and how do i put this in?

Thank you. Slightly off-piste, but is there a way to display the speed as digital on the dash. ie a large number. My 453 doesn't seem to have that option, though I have seen it here on other YT videos. Thanks in advance.

@@henri7474 Yes. It can be done at great cost and even greater risk. The Smart garage near me had done it once to another customer's car and ended up with a Smart technician coming over to the UK from Germany to fix it. He couldn't so they reset the software. I've had to get used to the analog dial. Hope that helps.

I purchased a new USB flash drive, insert into smart car, displays USB connected, then displays no multimedia and I can't more past this step, any idea what I should do next?
Well this is problem with UA-cam tech advice, the current URL to download the relevant update file is disabled. So anyone trying this is, is currently unable to download the file. The url provided by Simon is also out of date. Smart provide no contact us email address. If you want it fixed.....go to the garage.
