    • @napinkpa
      @napinkpa Рік тому +49

      @@ayowheredeewayAre you slow? Please, this is a genuine concern. The “double” is regarding the Mom and their daughters. I seriously dont understand how one can even ask such a question.

    • @ayowheredeeway
      @ayowheredeeway Рік тому

      @@napinkpain case you say "oh it so long" TLDR: you sound inexperienced with no kids or consideration for them and think everythig is black and white and your opinions are very linear and nothing is complex or has levels to severity.
      are you slower? the daughters NEVER betrayed him. they allowed their mother, THE PERSON THAT GAVE BIRTH AND RAISED THEM, to come clean to their dad AND had the oldest daughter take on responsibility for the whole situation removing any liability of the other 2 daughters.
      so no, there wasnt a double betrayal, only 1 and the most OBVIOUS. you agreeing and blaming the daughters shows how much you know about having kids. the father himself said he would understand if they kept it a secret to not destroy the family, which they did not. they just allowed the mother to do that which never happened because of X reasons the mother gave them.
      notice how all the daughters werent hiding it, just allowing the mother to get it figured out with the father. it is NOT the child's place to have the discussion of the parents. it's between them, not the kids. the kids only have the effect of it and whatever actions must be made AFTER said events and decisions from the parents.
      imagine even THINKING your daughter betrayed you for trying to resolve this peaceful without any trauma such as arguing and getting mad and seeing all raw emotions from both parents and trying to get the person at fault to resolve this issue with the person most affected. imagine thinking that it's the same betrayal as the person who swore to never do something like cheat or even attempt to and only say "im glad i was caught so i didny go through with it" instead of not even giving any chance to go that far.
      you might want to reconsider your definition of betrayals. because one side, you have something worse than the other and im going to assume you believe ALL is equal on level of deception.
      btw, this only took me like 1.5 minutes max to write.

      I'll play devil's advocate for the daughters. Mom did say she would do it and likely made it seem like "if you tell him he will just leave and no one will get to talk to him." Making it seem like dad is only communicating with the girls because of mom which let's be honest media definitely paints fathers as "I only want to bond with my son!!" mentality.

    For a second I thought this was the same story as the daughters who took bribes to keep quiet. 3 years and they conveniently kept putting it off? Eh no...That's bs, if they really wanted to tell him, they would've, they even acted normal the whole time according to OP, even if "not breaking the family" was the reasoning they used, that was selfishly still only to benefit them, not the father, the family was broken the moment the mother spread her legs to some other dude.
    I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the daughters also cheat on their future partners, if someone is willing to hide cheating it's highly likely they'd do it themselves or have done it at some point, the apple does not fall far from the tree, cheaters or potential cheaters relate to other cheaters, it's how it usually goes with these sorts.
    Never believe a woman in tears, it's usually crocodile tears, it's astonishing how quickly they begin crying, you don't start crying that quickly unless you were already upset before or if you're a child, even if i(struggling with some things) tried to cry out of nowhere right now i couldn't, I'd need to be feeling a certain type of way beforehand, those tears are not genuine. Forgiving the lying b*tches like that is a huge mistake, they clearly didn't respect the father enough.
    They were old enough to know right from wrong, and i personally wouldn't be so quick to forgive them like that. I'd also definitely want a DNA test regardless of how old they are, I'd want to know if i raised someone else's orgasm this whole time, call it peace of mind.
    If the supposed deleted updates are true where the father finds out they continued to lie to him and they were taking bribes from the mother to keep it quiet, then I'm glad he kicked the daughters to the curb and left as also mentioned in said update.

      oh 100% they will be cheaters. Their morals are extremely suspect and children obviously pattern after their parents to a large degree. spousal support? what? go get a job?

    • @Arkryal
      @Arkryal Рік тому +2

      Lol, yeah, TV sitcoms have poisoned the minds of many women into believing spousal support (alimony) is just a given, granted to all women in divorce. An astonishing number believe that. Nothing could be further from the truth.
      OP doesn't say what country or region they're from, but I'll assume the U.S.
      First, if it's an at-fault divorce state, and there's proof of infidelity, OP's wife could end up losing nearly everything, though that likely entails a lengthy court battle and the costs may exceed what either stand to gain, but some people will accept that expense just to be vindictive, lol.
      If it's a no-fault state, the courts will try for something close to a 50/50 division of joint assets. OP was smart to keep their finances split, that makes it very easy to calculate. Their biggest shared asset will likely be the house. Since the kids are grown, with the youngest off to college soon, the most expedient resolution would be to sell the home and split sale value. In today's market, they likely stand to profit from that anyway, as long as they don't have two mortgages, liens or anything like that. Alternatively, one could buy out the equity of the other and keep the house. But either way, it's easy to resolve.
      The kids are over 18, so no child support.
      As for Alimony...
      That is specifically to compensate for financial losses incurred as a result of the marriage. Let's say OP and his wife agreed she would be a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. That decision could have cost her a lot of money in terms of lost career development, which would be quantified, and he (or she) would pay half the difference. If 10 years of staying home with the kids cost her $20,000 a year in career advancement, he'd be on the hook for half, as it was the product of a joint decision. But he likely has similar claims against her, so often it comes out as a wash, with any difference being too insignificant to be worth the expense of pursuing. And it doesn't sound like that's the case here anyway. She might be entitled to something but it's equally possible she would owe him. Since they're both gainfully employed, will have the proceeds of the house sale and are both independently financially comfortable, this may be a treacherous road for her to go down. It could backfire in a big way, especially with him as a business owner.
      Her claims to the business:
      As OP said, he employs a lot of people, a judge will consider that. The court likely won't touch the business at all. Unless she already holds equity in the company, her claims are weak at best. It will still be a headache for the lawyers, but beyond that, it shouldn't come up. This could also backfire on her, as companies aren't just assets, they can have liabilities as well. Equity is not just profit, but also debt unless it's incorporated (which it likely is with 50+ employees). In fact, if OP's company needs new equipment, vehicles etc, this is a great time to take on that debt and reduce the value of the company with outstanding liabilities. But that's going down a different rabbit hole and I'm sure his lawyer wants to avoid that. OP has a strong case already, so don't screw that up. And a lot depends on if it's a proprietorship, partnership, LLC, SCORP, etc. That is out of scope for most divorce attorneys, he'd need a whole legal team if he wanted to leverage the business to his advantage, and would need to tread lightly not to run afoul of his fiduciary duties to the company he started. Her lawyer will likely tell her to drop that claim, and his lawyer will tell him not to engage in any shenanigans with the business until they have a signed settlement.
      The attorneys will call the shots from here.
      Divorce attorneys are in constant demand, but also have a lot of competition. They have their own agenda, as their money doesn't come from one big divorce, but rather settling 2 dozen divorces a month with as-close-to-boiler-plate paperwork as they can get away with. Their profit incentive is to resolve cases FAST, and that is usually in the best interests of their clients as well. This will not be some dramatic courtroom drama, it will be settled likely over email except for the actual signing of a settlement. The lawyers on either side don't give a shit how this ends, they just want it over with quick and easy so they get paid, lol. That doesn't mean they don't have their client's interests at heart, far from it. They will still give excellent advice, I'm sure, and both would be wise to follow that advice. OP and his wife will be "handled" by their attorneys and will be shown the benefits of an amicable settlement.
      The wildcard here is the daughters.
      If there's going to be any shady tactics, it will be from their side. Sounds like they are all on "Team-Daddy". They are all adults. They could very easily issue an ultimatum to their mother to force her hand with regard to how assets are divided. OP doesn't sound like someone who would weaponize his own kids against his ex, but being adults, they could intervene of their own accord. They could easily tell their mother "You destroyed our family, lied and used us as pawns to cover it up. You're going to give Dad everything he asks for in the divorce, no questions asked, or you will not see us again." I don't think they would do that, but if their mother made false accusations of abuse as she threatened to, that might incentivize them.

It doesn’t give to the right to leave your family (your parents, relatives, wife/husband and kids), your friends, and all the other people that cared about you in a broken state just because you’re betrayed. No matter how horrible it is, as long as ONE person or more still cares about you and didn’t do anything wrong to you without a proper reason, it’s absolutely wrong to just dip.

But they still love him, and he still loves them.
      Second, you don’t always have a choice to be manipulated or not. I mean, yeah you can just say “nah-uh”, but what will that cost them? A broken family? A long law case? Being discussed about by their classmates? Having to choose sides between people who raised them from birth? A destruction to the relationship between them and their cousins, uncles, basically everyone in their mother’s family? There’s consequences, it’s not the daughter’s fault to be scared. However the daughters are to blame for not telling the dad as it could have saved him pain and time also a chance to get his ducks set up so to speak.

    I... don't know what to think. His love for his daughters must be a lot stronger than their love for him, and he must have bonded where they did not. I think a betrayal like this would send me over the edge. Certainly a much stronger(or just with more incentives) man than I.

    I told my dad when my mom cheated. All my sisters hated me afterwards but I’m glad I told him. He deserved the truth. I think I was 9? I don’t remember

    This story is based on so many assumptions tho
    As much as it was somehow all correct... I wouldn't like my partner to just believe that I cheated because a partner of my work buddy who's half my age told em stuff like my phone number...
    And I would also hate for my father to assume I betrayed him because a stranger told him my elder sister saw my mom fkin someone with no proof 💀
    Like bro gave the exam with 0 study, did random bs in exam and got 100/100
    Edit: nvm the story updated

    I know is common for older adults to look down on young adults but seriously, 21 is not an infant.

    Daughters are lying. They are their mother’s keeper. Why make excuses for them? Difficult decision my ass. They didn’t love you enough to tell you the truth.

  • @peterjackson1430

    OP is way too lenient with his "daughters." That's all fine and dandy he wants to play the good father card by not holding them accountable for betraying them and keeping their trashy mom's secret. When two children walk in on a "one time laspe of judgement" on two separate occasions they should have shown loyalty to their cuckold father. Instead of being a Simp he should get a DNA test for all 3 kids. He can still see himself as super dad because "he raised them and they're his girls no matter what" once a cheater always a cheater. OP's wife has a history of cheating. He has every right not to trust those girls are his.

    I'm glad this guy is reflecting his age and being mature about it. Reddit is a double-edged sword, you'll get lots of perspectives and advice but it's often (if not mostly) coming from young people with no experience and a lot of assumptions and anger. And he's right, most of them don't have kids. Gotta filter it down to people who *do* have experience with your situation and circumstances.

    • @alwaysright3943
      @alwaysright3943 Рік тому +4

      Gaining experience doesn't necessarily mean you give up your spine lol. His daughters didn't give a f enough about him to be honest with him and let him live in ignorance of his wife's betrayal. Being stabbed in the back like that must hurt extra when it's by your own blood, which isn't 100% clear now that I think of it.
