My childhood is alive and well in this tune, I loved afterburner, they did well for the time this was made, I forgot how many stages were in afterburner
I, too, don't think this conversion is that bad. Yes, it's a very basic game, but so is the original, just with better graphics. :) The graphics here aren't great, and there's a strange Spectrum-like color clash, but the game is fast and playable.
Afterburner C64 had a very good version of the music, my fav part starts at around 3:30 :) what a shit game though! And I actually bought the game.. :D
Decent conversion, Final Take Off does actually sound amazing in this version
Thanks! Im familiar with this version, and that tune was always my favorite thing about this game. Did not know the name.
A "decent" conversion? Surely you jest! It is utterly dreadful and plays like arse! The music is the only redeeming factor.

Adam Gilmour, great composer
I like this music sounds better then some of the more later systems versions
I agree, of all the games i had on the C64 Afterburner II is the ONLY one i remember due to the music and the sprites weren't that bad either
@@VTF102 lol you were that guy who got confused because you didn't know there were two versions of this song
This looks like a fine conversion to me. At least it's not all choppy like the Sega Master System version.
Except the one on Sega Master System wasn't After Burner 2

Except it was based upon AFII,even though the title suggesting otherwise.
It plays like arse though 😅
It’s pretty unplayable to be honest! Music is amazing though
7:22 For RED OUT
This is a nice version of After Burner but I still prefer Jeroen Tel's version of the track.

sound fx..
How can a game be so impressive and at the same time look like complete garbage?
and play so garbage, there was no skill or tactic to the game, just random joystick jerking.
The only thing impressive about this game is the music. The rest belongs in the trashcan, so yes, complete garbage!!
