This is actually really boring to watch... i guess the pro's are just too good, I'd rather watch amateurs since there are more volleys.
Yup super boring. The game should be changed to have a more slack net... more possibilities to return shots.
What if they changed the rules so you can only hit it twice instead of three times? Its literally impossible to return if you can set the ball right on top of the net for the other person to spike every single time. And also only allow one serve instead of getting a second serve. That way a lot less points start with a monster spike as a serve or a cheap drop shot.
it's also a relatively new game and the meta will end up developing. i'm sure eventually (rule changes or not) that defense will become more and more important. similar thing happened with other pro sports such as basketball

I don’t know about anyone else but these games are so boring. Serve receive set spike repeat. Hopefully the new rule of 1.5 feet for spikes creates more rallies

Golf is more exciting than this. If you don't score on the server you lose point. There should be an inner boundary to limit offensive options or something

Whats with all these carry calls?? If the calls boysterous made are really carry's something needs to change because most of them seemed clean to me. I saw another one they called against spikers synonymous... overall those kind of calls unless its completely obvious seem trashy.

Dang this is really boring to watch. Its like 90% of the time, the receiving team gets the point. Pretty boring when there are zero rallies. I'm not tourney level by any means, but this is for real just so boring! I can't imagine it being any fun to play this way either. I don't know what needs to be changed, but if this is how spike is going to be in the future, I am not going to waste my time watching these.
Connor Rogers dude I so agree. I’m watching this video because I was trying to figure out some rules and I had no idea you could serve twice?? Wtf is that? You miss you lose the point that’s how every other rally type sports work.
Gabe Moss yeah dude there are some gnarly rule changes in the 2019 round net rule book. I think that they should for sure be open to loosening the net so there aren’t just all these beams all the time
Yep, 100% agree with y'all. The net should definitely be loosened. The rallies are way too short.

@@gabemoss2186 with one serve, the rallies would be even more boring actually. Rallies are boring cause receiving is better since you get to offense first and win the point. If you only had one serve, server would likely serve more cautiously making the receiving teams job even easier than it is now.
Rallies are the best part in spikeball/roundnet, but sadly as the players become better they happen much less often and the game becomes boring. There need to be another changes in the rules or the play field. As a Spikeball player I would love to see it as a respected sport in the world but unfortunately it’s not ready for it
