Happy New Year! Looking forward to your take on the BB54. Any thoughts on what Tudor will do for W&W2024?

And all thanks you on the BB54!
I'm guessing on a Bronze and not a blue BB54 first, followed by the Blue next year.
And how about a White dial Tudor Black Bay Pro as well -

I have yet to review my Pelagos 39. You have the same sentiments as me regarding the weight. Not concerned with scratches, because I don’t mind beating on dive watches regardless of price.
What annoys me is that, while I am never having my Pelagos refinished (or my BB54), Tudor refuses to refinish the Pelagos for others. And I’ve heard the excuses as to why, but I disagree with it. I hate that the handset is still dimmer than the markers and insert. My example was probably manufactured in 2023, and it still has this lume issue.
I’m also concerned with the durability of the lumed insert, because the OG 42mm Pelagos is notorious for lume coming out of the bezel. People claim this will not be the case with the P39, but there is no evidence of Tudor making the P39 inserts more durable.
Overall, it’s a fantastic, beautiful diver. But one definitely has to be able to overlook the lume issues, and be okay with Tudor’s refusal to refinish it; and you have to be okay with the cons of titanium.
I wish it was 316L steel, had an aluminum insert, and instead of Pelagos, Submariner was printed on the dial. Because with these changes alone, it would be a modern, new release of the legendary Tudor snowflake submariner. Everything else could remain the same.
Thx for the vid. Enjoyed it

I really appreciate your insights on this. Very much onboard with what you've shared - who knows, maybe Tudor decides to release the updated Submariner this year

Agreed with both of you went with the BB pro because of the weight but like the 39s looks....... shame about the weight or I would of been all over it🎉

you missed a great "Pro"; the Lume on the 39 is exceptional.

Original Pelagos uses the same grade titanium as the 39. Tudor only uses grade 2.

Yup this is one of the 'griefs' that many have mentioned -

@@MrAnotherWatchTimewhy is that a problem? What’s wrong with grade 2?

I wish it would take regular 20mm width leather. Rolex and tudor do not like straight spring bar and scrape the leather straps...

    • @MrAnotherWatchTime
      @MrAnotherWatchTime  4 місяці тому

From my own experience, knowing that it's a leather 20mm strap you want to use, it will fit enough to make it cover for the 1mm gap being barely noticeable.

the bezel insert looks a little like an accident with the sunburst effect. Not a fan of it. Anyhow, finally got my grabbers on the heritage. After so many years of hesitation

Agreed on the Bezel - it's definitely a like or dislike factor on the watch.

Close down the aperture a few stops when shooting close ups of the watch, the autofocus is bad and so much of the footage is out of focus which is really straining on the eyes. Just some feedback!
