INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY | Pythagoras: life and philosophical community (part 1/2)

Little is known about Pythagoras' life. He was the founder of a philosophical/religious community, and it is even said that he was considered a divinity. The members of the community (the Pythagoreans) practiced a particular lifestyle, based on strict rules of conduct, and aimed to understand reality and purify the soul. The Pythagoreans thought that the principles of mathematics are the principles of all things; and they identified number with the original principle of reality. They also believed in the transmigration of souls and in the cosmos as an ordered whole. Without a doubt, both Pythagoras and the Pythagorean community made important contributions to the history of philosophy and scientific (mathematical) thought.

Desde mi percepción no me gusto mucho la música de fondo, el video me apetecía algo como una instrumental mas intrigante siento que era muy alegre no siento que quedaba mucho, pero excelente información disfrute el video igual
