Wow that’s great. For whatever reason I’ve not used a stippling effect on my models before. This is going to be great for cursed city
Glad you like it! Yeah I'll be using this a lot!
Cursed city?
No this is a 3d print 👍🏻
The amount of attention to detail is astounding
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wait is this sarcasm?
@@samuelthomas8777 no?
Wow. That first coat went on like you're using a marker.
Thats why I love red paints. They tend to do that often
Can we see how to paint fur? Perhaps on this model, too.
Yes I planned to do fur on this model sometime this month!
I could I sit and watch your time-lapses for hours 😁
Cheers Magnus 👍🏻
Excellent tutorial in an amazingly short time. Thanks very much!
Another great tutorial! 😊
Thank you!
That red makes me happy and reminds me of when I was a kid
Cool!
Thanks so much for your shorts they've been extremely helpful & perfectly timed. The skin tones was exactly what I needed, now just for a wet blending and I might end up being a decent mini painter
Haha glad you liked them - i'll get to it soon!
That made it look so easy, wow!
Cheers! Hopefully it is!
Make me want to break out the minis and do some painting
Excellent work.
This is just awesome. So much talent
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wazdakka is my new favorite color
I Cato Sicarius, believe that one should always keep their red cloak at tip top shape to display the power of the codex astartes
I was looking for a good way to paint my capes, thanks for making it simple and clear.
Thanks Ian - appreciate it!
Great job! 🙂
Cheers mate
I respect this
Nice quick and easy information thanks so much!
Glad you like it Taylor!
Whoa painting the Red cultists in Death May Die, and this pops up. Will def use the stippling techniques and those colors. Great vid
Thanks!
orange instead of pink as a highlight really makes it show as red, don't know how i never realized that
Red is a tough one to highlight!
I mean orange is the next color in the rainbow so that would make sense no
Never seen the stippling effect before. Will try it out over the weekend
Cool - hope you enjoy it!
Looks awesome .
Thanks
Quick and easy, and it looks really good! Well done I can't wait for more!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
This looks fun
I actually painted this same model recently
*laughs in necrons* silver primer. boom, all painted 🤣
Necrons are copper now.
@@katier9725 depends on dynasty
@@tyleroberg9986 True, but the sample Crons in the books are now copper.
I need more paints!
This was random buy really cool
Nice , i want to paint my new models with this now
Sounds good!
Quick explanations and good examples . Excellent video, are you planning on doing another one for the fur? thanks much for the upload 👍
Thanks! Yes I have already done it - check the channel :)
My new hobby
Welcome!
@@ThePaintingCoach thank you.
Well done.
Cheers!
Nice tip
This is really helpful, I have a group of space marine sniper scouts that I’m painting camo cloaks on
Sounds cool - glad you liked it!
Well thats very informative
Wish I had MONEy for minis
Thanks - glad you liked it!
If you have a 3d printer, resin printer, or a place near you to print, you can make minis for much cheaper than you can with buying minis.
@@3dguy299 I have minis now and other players would be mad about fake minis
@@GoldenBoar there are genuine 3d printed minis that you can buy, but yeah, I should clarify: if you want very specific, custom minis, or you want to print a mini and paint it yourself rather than buy it, or even just use a mini you found on the internet that you thought was cool, then I would suggest investing in some type of 3d printer.
In my own opinion, the difference between a real and a fake mini is the amount of effort that is taken to complete it. Anyone with a 3d printer can make a mini figure, but if you half-ass the paintjob or the designing, then no matter how cool the figure is, it will be shit.
Also, I am pretty sure that the minis that Hero Forge makes are 3d printed; those are not fake
Ikr? I remember as a kid how expensive they were and back then they were made of metal not plastic lmao
at first I thought it’s Gael from dark souls on the preview lol
great video btw, I was thinking about painting my gravis captain next, this short guide definitely will come in handy
Thanks!
Amazing
Cheers
I'm sure that someone has already asked but where can I find that model? It looks great. And this is gonna help me with my vampires
This is a 3D print called Barbarian Chieftain on MyMiniFactory
Stippling much like wet blending is how my simple brain solves 99% of blending miniatures issues..
Nice
Space Wolves and Dwarfs are the Master Races.
This works for both!
You're talented
It's awesome, I love your content !
You got a New Sub 😉
Thanks - I appreciate it!
Fuck thats some good paintin. 👀
Cheers!
Could you do one on sisters of battle heads? Especially for the eyes - Ive never been able to do them.
Check my channel - I have a load of different skin tutorials and a sisters of battle head. As for eyes I really struggle to film this on camera but check out my Trajann Valoris tutorial as I think I did them on that one 👍🏻
Sleek tutorial as always 🍻! Any Cursed City minis tutorial in the near future?
Thanks! Hopefully Radukar the Wolf this weekend if the postman is kind
@@ThePaintingCoach I hope sigmar bless the postman with speed then, can't wait to see. 😀
I'm watching this like I'm gonna do it or something
Go on....
Nice 👌
Cheers!
Awesome !! I'm all in !! I'm going to your Chanel now and sub!!!
Glad you enjoyed it - and thanks for the sub!
The blood god khorne xD
Really fantastic work as always... But I've a serious question... I'm dying to know the name of the background song!
Thanks! It's called Nova by Streambeats 👍🏻
He's definitely making up those paint names lol
Wacky names so the company can copyright them I believe 👍🏻 plus the names reflect a lot of the setting for the game
@@ThePaintingCoach Cool, guess it makes sense to name your paints strangely so it's obvious when someone rips It off👍
This stippling method would probably be perfect for krieg guardsmen... ill try it as soon asthe new killteam box is available
I'll hopefully be able to get a box too!
Personally I'd use Agrax Earthshade, it gives a warmer feel. Nuln Oil is more suitable for machine parts.
I'm still trying to figure out what brushes to use. The ones I'm using now don't keep a tip like that. Great job and tips, keep up the good work!
Luckily I did a video on just that!
ua-cam.com/video/u-WWTWpzZdI/v-deo.html
Hi coach , do you have any videos about painting a white cloak?🤔
Yes check the #shorts section of my channel 👍🏻
Where do you get or buy your miniatures? Can't find any good shop :(
I'm in the UK and get mine from Element Games
Stibble or stipple, i must try!
Stipple!
Please, what paint do you use, I'm thinking about to begin painting figures after years of modeling tanks, ships, and airplanes using brushes and aerographs with Vallejo, Gunze, and Tamiya painting
I use mainly citadel paint
👍👍👍👍
How do you get so much paint to stay useable on the brush, I find myself having to go back and reapply paint from the pot every couple of brush strokes 🥲🥲
I use a wet palette - and thin my paint a bit
@@ThePaintingCoach yet another splendid reason of why I should start using a wet palette. Haha alright I should definitely start using one finally. Thank you dude!
No problem 👍🏻
Next up, lhobster red
Can you make one for pink or purple cloth
I'll get round to them eventually - check out my video on Glutos Orscollion, part 1 where I do cover a lot of those colours 👍🏻
Where did you get that Ned stark mini 😳
It's not quite Ned Stark - it's called Barbarian Chieftain and is a 3D print available from Myminifactory
Ngl it looked better with just the nuln oil. After that it didn't look finished
What is that minature called? I need to know !!!!!!!
It's a 3D print from MyMiniFactory called Barbarian Chieftain 👍🏻
Awesome vid! One thing, what mini is that?
Thanks - it's a 3D print, available here: www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-barbarian-chieftain-144104
Hi i very like tour Chanel and can you post a video on "paint a grey knight"plz because i like this knights he's so very very cool thx 1🤘😉
Thanks! I will do a grey knight when thair new codex releases :)
@@ThePaintingCoach ok nice thx guy.🤘😉
The onion knight does tabletop?!
What are these color names? Wazzdaka? Squib orange?
Wacky names so the company can copyright them I believe 👍🏻 plus the names reflect a lot of the setting for the game
Khorne red?
*BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!*
*SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!*
Very quick and easy , I will try this I always struggle with cloth especially light cloth. What model is that by the way
Thanks - it's a 3D print from MyMiniFactory - called barbarian chieftain
What model is that? Would love to do a space wolf conversion
It's a 3d print called barbarian chieftain available on myminifactory
What mini is that with wolf pelt and nice axe?
It's a 3d print available on MyMiniFactory called Barbarian Chieftain
My hands are no where near precise enough
WTF there is no option for adjusting the video quality on shorts? These auto settings are infuriating.
Try it th4ough my channel page - might be able to watch the hi-res version that way
@@ThePaintingCoach yeah i think thats the only option right now
Can't wait to show my girlfriend! Wait where did she go?
Where do you get your character pieces
This guy is a 3D print available on MyMiniFactory - the file is called barbarian chieftain 👍🏻
That’s how to paint Hive Fleet Kronos carapace
Khorne red? ✍️🧐Wait, you mean blood right?🤨
Real blood optional 😂
Hi, I know its been over a year since you posted, but hopefully I will get answer here.. can I use agrax earthshade instead of nuln oil? I tried to do it, but it didnt really change the shade of red on my mini and applying base paint again made it even worse.. how can I do this without nuln oil?
You can use really thin black paint - agrax will make it more muddy if anything
@@ThePaintingCoach woah, I didnt expect that fast reply! Thanks! Should I thin it with water or glaze medium?
Either will work - depends on what you prefer
Okay, thank you for such quick replies! Your videos are really inspiring, keep it up!
No problem! Cheers!
What brush do you use because mine a frayed and im looking to buy more
This is one of the squidmar kickstarter brushes - which are made by Davinci
I mainly use a Winsor & Newton Series 7 though, and would recommend them, just avoid the brushes labelled miniature
@@ThePaintingCoach ok cool thank you
Why stippling and not traditional edge lighting?
Hi Tim - stippling as I was going for a more worn look - esge highlighting gives a cleaner effect
@@ThePaintingCoach interesting. Will deffo give this a go. Thanks for the speedy reply :)
Cheers Tim 👍🏻
Thats not a pair of shorts at all! Looks great though.
Haha thanks!
I dont know what stippling is and at this point I'm too afraid to ask
Just poke it with your brush
What brush is that?
I use a whole load of brushes, but my work horses are Rosemary and Co Series 33
Does anyone know what brush that is?
Artis Opus Series S Size 1
FOR KHORNE
What model is this?
It's a 3D print called Barbarian Chieftain from MyMiniFactory
Finally some good content
Glad you liked it!
Eh, not really up to my taste. The Cape looks too fleshy like it's made from a corpse, looks cool, don't get me wrong, but I'd probably go for entirely different techniques and colours. Have you tried wetshading?
Yo what's that mini!?
This is a 3D print from MyMiniFactory - it's called Barbarian Chieftain
This is top much effort for little gain
Bro these color names...
Wacky names so the company can copyright them I believe 👍🏻 plus the names reflect a lot of the setting for the game
What’s the point of the black basecoat
Bro u build different
Isn’t agrax earth better on red than nuln oil?
You can use either - I find agrax makes it look dirty
Narellan oil is a black wash so it'll make it a black red whilst aggressive shade is a brown wash so it'll make it a browny red
@@benbaxter1047 imteresting. Thanks for that advice
I was using my microphone to do speech-to-text
@@benbaxter1047 that’s kinda reverse isn’t it
Which miniature is this??
This is a 3D printed mini from MyMiniFactory - it's called Barbarian Chieftain 👍🏻
@@ThePaintingCoach will have to look into getting one, great video 👍
Cheers - i have done an intro into 3d printing video on the channel 👍🏻
Did you say korn?
Yeah khorne red
What is he painting?
This is a 28mm model of a Barbarian Cheiftain 👍🏻
What model is it ?
It's a 3D print - available on MyMiniFactory called barbrian chieftain 👍🏻
Thank you
No problem 👍🏻
