So, on the plus side… it runs. I think you’ve finally met a challenge truly worthy of your car restoration abilities! Looking forward to watching this one unfold!!
Now this is going to be a build I'm really interested to tune in to. Now you'll know what I'm going through haha. Drain the fuel tank and re-fill with fresh fuel since its been sitting for 2 years!
I have to congratulate you on taking on this massive project. Hope she gave you a good deal. At least its now in the hands of someone who will take good care and bring it back to its glory days.
Looking forward to seeing more videos on this legend for sure! I’m also saving my great aunt’s 93 explorer xlt 4x4, cousin was gonna scrap it since it failed smog, but luckily I got his number and said I’d buy it, I’m gonna pick it up in December! Wanted it since I first laid eyes on it 5 years ago and finally it will be in my garage, where it belongs!
Wow - I don't even treat beater cars that badly. I think this will go down as one of your most rewarding restos because of your history of trying to get this car and its condition. This is going to be fun to watch!
Tyson Hugie, thank you for being an Acura enthusiast. The nerding out on these classic vehicles brings a little tear to my eyes. There needs to be more of you in this world. Thanks for the videos!
My favorite part of every project car I work on is the initial cleaning of the interior. It's always amusing to see what you'll find under the seats and in crevices. I actually found a Tag watch in a friend's car thst he was missing for almost 20 years.
Nice drive-by sightings timed with the music! Most def a restoration project -- an ambitious one! I guess one of those cigs can be lit up and smoked once restoration is complete?!
@@TysonHugie that definitely helps! I forgot that you’d likely have some parts already in your inventory to get working on this. Looking forward to see the progress!
A "little" rough? The interior is a freakin' disaster. It amazes me how some people treat their vehicles. I have a '98 CRV and '05 Pilot and the interiors are in great condition. I don't even know how you get an interior to be so destroyed....and on an iconic 2nd gen Legend Coupe no less which IMO is one of the most beautiful cars ever produced. I live in the Atlantic City area and we had several of them in our area during the 90's and one of them was in that special pearl white or whatever they called the color and I would just salivate whenever I saw it....sooo beautiful. I can't wait to see how you save this coupe.
I am going to wait to see more videos of that acura legend!, I am saving a 91 honda legend ka7 4 doors in Chile with almost the same problems as yours, only that the ecu or the main relay decided to die haha, I intend to restore and modify it, able to convert it into a rear wheel drive, hopefully learn more about the model with your videos : D (sorry if it is not understood very well since I am using the translator XD)
Tyson is there more to the story about how/why the car was sitting for so long? The miles are actually pretty low considering the condition of the car.
Wow! that looks like a diamond in the rough! But would be cool to check it out one day since the weather is becoming favorable finally. Not to mention your fancy Type S. We need to catch up. Your garage is ever changing, like the seasons haha
@@TysonHugie oh awesome! I remember that, btw they just opened up a Pull N Save in Tucson and they have a 94 Legend there…if you want to make the drive
Wow man, you have quite the restoration ahead of you. Seems like the best thing to do is to tackle one area at a time redoing everything. I had to do the same with mine lol.
Wow that thing is more of a mess than I expected! It’s such a good platform to restore in my opinion! I bet you gotta start junkyard shopping for most the interior which will be fun
It really irks me to see how poorly some people treat their cars. What has the potential to be a valuable gem is turned into a portable trash can. No respect given at all. Such a shame.
Just seeing this! I didn't know the back story. Hoping she gave you the car and didn't make you pay for it! At least it didn't end up in the bone yard. You are going to have fun and one would assume the process will be well documented. Wish I lived closer so I could help turn wrenches! Looks like a car that will expand your skill-set! 😉
