This by far is my favorite series you've done. Love seeing older/neglected car being brought back to life and saved from the yard. You are doing great. With the power steering pump whine, its air getting into the system with the (2) o-rings on the supply line fitting and the rack/pinion hose head going into the pump. Quick 10 minute job.
Hats off to you Tyson for taking on such a labor of love and sharing. Truly an inspiration as I have 95 AT L coupe that I would love to see fully restored. Wish you all the best with the project and look forward to the updates. Appreciate you keeping the LEGEND legacy alive.
Impressive progress on what some would just toss away in such rough condition. My mind is blown by what the Arizona sun does to the interior of cars. Certainly different concerns here in the North East, but wow! The sun does a number on cars there
Hey Tyson, I don't know if you read all your comments section, but I have a 1992 Legend LS Seden (Auto Trans) with Geneva Green Pearl (G62P) exterior and Type F Interior with just over 65,500 original miles and I am absolutely "IN LOVE" with my Legend! 🥰 You seem to have great knowledge regarding Acura's, especially Legends in general. I am pretty sure that you are busy with all your projects, UA-cam video's, plus work and helping others, but I would like chat with you, if possible! Thanks M.Mize
i have always wanted a 4 door legend 2nd gen. i never got to get one. they are excellent cars, and very very beautiful for its time and has aged so well. i had a co worker years ago that owned 3 of them, first 2 got wrecked and all had over 200k on them and ran so smooth.

Thats cool man. I had a Vigor i did some stuff to. The squirl cage needed replacement, I had to remove both seats and dash. TWICE! cause I'm a moron. LOL I love the 90's Japanese cars. I have a 22 LC500 in the garage. Keeping him for LIFE.
Really enjoying the content, its motivation. I just started my restoration list. I'm gonna do a video when it comes back from diagnostics, and I will keep you posted. I also ordered a set of coilovers for my first upgrade. It's awesome that you have the 2 donor coupes, I need to search around locally for a possible donor.
A pleasant Saturday morning surprise! That ending though 😨. Can’t wait for the next video, I have been anticipating an update for this rig since you got it. So exciting!
This reminds me of a situation I am currently in. I purchased a 2008 accord coupe V6 6 speed manual that's pretty neglected. Looks like yours needs a bit more than mine but these Hondas can really take some abuse. I do adore the feel/dynamics of these cars. Nothing feels quite like a Honda product. Unfortunately they tear at our heartstrings because they are so well engineered with just the right amount of personality.
We bought a black Legend in 1991 and still have it. It runs and looks great. It has 60,000 actual miles. And no.....it's not for sale. My hubby loves it!
Up here in Canada I've never seen sun damaged interiors like that but rust is everywhere. Seems like there needs to be a flow of frosty Canadian interiors down to the southern states.
Type2 loved to work on these when I was at the dealership Port the heads remove the butterflies from the intake manifold ad headers highflow cat and exaughst it will embarrass lots of these new cars it was truly ahead of its time.
Good progress! That big oil spot at the end is no bueno, but you were going to have to tear the engine apart anyways it won't be that much more of a paint to address

Thanks Tyson, following this is gonna help keep me going with restoring my own two Legends! Also noticed the G1 Legend Sedan, hadn't come across her in your previous videos, is this another project of yours?
Well I know this Legend went to the right home. If anybody can get it turned around I know you will. What's the white smoke issue? Head gaskets? Anyway take care and Looking forward to the updates.
Thanks, I could use some local expertise so I wish you were here too! Yes the white smoke is almost definitely a seeping head gasket, although I'm not experiencing any overheating with it (yet). Stay tuned! Thanks Jason!
Can’t wait to see the final result! I’ve got the same exact car…year, color, 6speed and all! I’m curious as to where you ended up getting a new 6speed shift knob tree? I’ve been searching high and low and have had no luck!
It was from a group buy through the Legend enthusiast forums years ago. Shoot me an email, maybe I can connect with you with some resources. Would also love to see pics of your coupe.
I don't know why, but my 08 Accord manual had an identical issue. It lost the clutch after sitting at auction for months. I pumped it for 30 seconds and it also started working again, just like yours did. Bizzare.
Yes! My thought is maybe the car had been parked for such a long time that air developed in one of the clutch fluid lines. Topping off the fluids and letting it marinate for a few days resolved it.
Man, what a great feeling it must have been to get it drivable. Can't wait to watch the progress. I have 91 5 speed couple, any thoughts on no power to my radio?
Sometimes those Bose head units go bad, maybe a fuse, I’ll be thinking. Could get some feedback from the Acura Legend Owners & Enthusiasts FB group too
Looks great, very curious how you are going to tackle the dash, can you just remove the lighter cover part (upper) and replace? nice to see the 88 legend next to it :)
Yes the dash is two pieces, and I found a replacement matching dark brown upper pad... we'll see how it looks when it gets here from Idaho! Probably not a job I will tackle myself, though. Stop by sometime to see the '88!
IT LIVES! The fact that the clutch basically healed itself is absolutely awesome. That's a ton of elbow grease you put into fixing this Legend up. Looking forward to seeing the next chapter.... and more information about that oil leak - whoa. Assuming that leak isn't fatal, do you think you'll change the head gaskets? And with the Legend, does the head gasket issue tend to be one head over the other, or are they both equal offenders?
Great questions. Yes from what I recall the left rear cylinder is the one most likely to sustain HG failure. Luckily the massive spill at the end was power steering fluid, but I'll touch more on that next time :)
Where did you find the I guess silver little clip that goes on top of the manual shifter? I have a 94 6spd black on black coupe and can’t find one anywhere. Silver would look great for my current setup.
