Honestly, at first from Vander’s perspective I saw Sevika as a traitor or just a person trying to incite chaos, but she actually just cares about Zaun a lot, there is a vision, a path that she is willing to follow Vander in the past, Silco, then now Jinx.
Sevika doesn't get much credit for how rational she is towards most conflicts she gets involved in. she always seem to have more psychological clarity than the other characters. she is just so interesting and i hope they explore more of her past and motives in the next season, such as the part where she talks about her father. there's probably a REALLY good reason for her being as loyal to the zaun cause as she is.

I gotta say I really like how they animated her prosthetic arm, like the subtle differences of it clicking into place make it feel way more like a robotic replacement then what most media has were it basically just functions like a normal arm except metal, also outside of combat she seems to heavily favor her right arm wich I feel is a nice touch
I love that her second arm was built specifically to counter Caitlyn in design. It had an internal pump (bc Cait disabled her arm by shooting the pump in the first fight) and a projectile to deal with the range.
I appreciate how they made her cute in addition to smolderingly hot and also scary. Something about her front teeth and her expressions when she's talking to Jinx... I'll do anything for her istg

Sevika is such an excellently written character. You know exactly what she’s about. Her betrayal of Vander comes from the same frustration that Silco feels, and so she throws her lot in with Silco because he is willing to make things happen and resume the revolution. She is the only one whose loyalty to the cause itself never wavers, and yet despite all that she sacrifices, she’s stuck with these men who won’t do the one single thing she depends on them to do, and that’s lead without faltering. If she were a man, there would be absolutely no negative word breathed about her by audiences. What makes her powerful, and perhaps more covertly villainous, is that audiences expect a female character to have a modicum of compassion or maternity, as we associate those feelings with women. But Sevika has none of it. She feels no sympathy or empathy for Vi or Jinx, or really any kids. Throughout S1 she is exasperated by how Silco is so permissive and doting on Jinx. It isn’t just because she lost her arm to Jinx, it’s because Silco is so lenient with Jinx despite Jinx being an untamable whirlwind. Jinx makes extreme mistakes and Silco forgives her where he wouldn’t forgive anyone else. Jinx has a meltdown and goes off running and his first thought is to chase after her, regardless of the pressing matters at hand. Silco openly favors Jinx and it paints a target on her back and creates a means of getting to Silco, making him open for exploitation just like the kids ended up being for Vander. It is deja vu for Sevika and she’s like, ‘Am I taking crazy pills? You’re doing the exact same thing as Vander, Silco!’ All she wants is Zaun to be independent and forge its own destiny, to stick it to Piltover so they’re no longer an exploited underserved district, but its own entity. She’s been bleeding and sweating for the dream for years and yet both times she throws her lot in with a guy, he ends up folding by the end. It’s such a great inversion of expectations: Typically it’s a male character that remains uwavering and resolutely committed to a cause where female characters might find themselves distracted by matters of the heart, but not Sevika. Not for a single moment.
I like your take on Sevika and it really goes to show how the whole team and those involved made sure that everything that goes on, the decisions, actions, and thoughts these characters have are akin to reality yet not bound to our society. Personally, I find Sevika in a lot of very specific niche of people, in the case of women, I see her in women who have experienced what being controlled feels like, the hurt, lack of control in their own lives, and having to make the choice of change for themselves and sticking by their vision, choices, their beliefs, and moral compasses all while sparing little to no thought to those who oppose these. I remember watching an Arcane analysis by schnee here on UA-cam that explains Sevika's character well and therefore also solidifies your perspective of Sevika!
Eh she has a small amount of sympathy for Jinx, as seen in her short conversation with Silco about giving Jinx room to breathe after she ran away. I don’t think she minds Jinx as a person, but when her fuckups hinder their operations and throw Silco off kilter, THAT’S when she has a problem and that’s when her distaste for Jinx makes an appearance.

She made it very clear from the start where she stood and what her beliefs were. She also told Vander to his face that she was pretty much going to leave him if he didn’t get his shit together. Betrayal is when someone gives you their word they’ll remain loyal to you, and then screw you over unexpectedly. So I think Sevika is definitely a cut above most allies turned antagonists in that regard.

Here’s my overly long theory explained: For one, their appearances as you mentioned are VERY similar. Hot muscular woman with mechanical arm. Another thing is Renata being a chem baron. Sevika has SOME interactions, not a lot, with the chem barons in the series so it would make sense for her to become a sort of “leader” in a smaller sense (becoming a chem baron). And the last part of this theory that I’m SUPER passionate about is Sevika’s identity. Most people point out how they have different names and even different ways in how they lost their arm. Fun Fact: Sevika’s name means “maid” in Hindi. By becoming Renata Glasc she is becoming her own leader and leaving her past self behind. She’s not a “maid” anymore, shes a leader. And I think them having different ways they lost their arm can also be explained by this reasoning. Sevika lost her arm because of Silco. So maybe she just made up a different story for herself along with her new identity. Another fun fact. Renata’s name is Latin in origin and translates to “reborn”. LIKE HUH?! THIS GOES WITH MY THEORY SO WELL. Sevika is REBORN. Like c’mon I think this theory had a lot going for it!!! :D

Her robotic arm works directly with her Q, but as a long range crowd-control move. Her W and R work based on other champion's power and choices. I mean, she even wears a suit. I don't see Sevika changing that much, she's all in for direct combat, physical strenght and even tanky constitution

@@clovertheclover i see what your're saying, but, big part of the in-game Renata Glasc character relies in non direct combat. Her auto attacks come from her "robot", same with E, W, and R. Her robotic arm works directly with her Q, but as a long range crowd-control move. Her W and R work based on other champion's power and choices. I mean, she even wears a suit. I don't see Sevika changing that much, she's all in for direct combat, physical strenght and even tanky constitution
sevika has no physical balls but the knee to the balls somehow works on her too

Just noticed an animation mistake. Her left arm gets destroyed. At 1:11, shes being carried, but her left arm is visible.
Perhaps her arm got amputated and installed with her shimmered prosthetic after the events of the episode?
