That’s another new chicken rub. Those birds do look delicious.
Yes sir! If you notice, the base is the same… salt, pepper, garlic onion, lemon pepper it’s the herbs that change… and the amount of lemon pepper.
Gave a thumbs up based on the use of the word perky.
Btw love the channel name. Found you a few weeks ago and subbed based off the name alone. Grew up watching Bond films as a family. TBH I don't even remember what I was looking for on the tube when I discovered your channel.
Keep on grillin' I'll keep viewing. 😁
Thanks Kevin!
That's some perfectly cooked chicken, Johnny! Great idea to go boneless on the breasts!!!😋😋😋
Thanks, Kevin.
nice job... that pit looks like a winner...
Thanks, Tommy.
Some great looking chicken that new Weber pellet grill is killing it! I'm with you chicken these days has become quite suspicious
I smoked a brisket and the smoke ring was almost as deep as an offset.
He's fabulous - I'm subscribing!
Thanks!
Nice! Just curious as to why you didn’t use the wired probe to gauge the temp of your chicken.
I could have and I do sometimes if I don’t have the time to really … the difference is the wired probe is static. It’s plugged in and measures temp in one place whereas the hand probe is dynamic and I can check multiple spots on the chicken for internal temperature.
Looks great, what was the entire cooking time ?
About an hour
Smoke boost or no?
No
I tried this yesterday for dinner with friends. Fantastic! We followed each step and suggestion (organic chicken from Kroger, shake ingredients, prep, placing on a rack, etc.). Based on my time calculation from your video, it takes 1 hour, rotating after 30 minutes. The Weber app timer sounded and the Weber probe thermometer alerted at almost the exact same time! We're looking forward to additional recipes soon (especially the fajitas!)
Great to hear! Were you suprised on how much better the organic chicken was, the texture is so much better and even has a cleaner smell coming out of the package.
@@Viewtoagrill Yes, the organic was better than the ones pumped with "stuff". You've converted us!
Nailed it
Thanks.
I don't have a pellet grill but, I've cooked chicken like this with charcoal. Like anything else, just had to keep an eye on the temperature but, they turned out great. Looks amazing!!! 😍
Thanks!
Does the slow n sear grill grate have anything special that allows it to spin? Or, is it just sitting on a lip?
It sits on the tabs. The grate just does not have any metal extending past the bottom of the grates to get caught on the tabs.
@@Viewtoagrill are there any cheaper alternatives you have seen out there?
Hello, my friend I tried using your Amazon web page and it said sorry we can not find that page. to order things to help you.
Which link were you clicking on Nelson?
@@Viewtoagrill can you send me the Amozaon link
Hello Nelson, amazon dropped the web page and I have to create a new one. But there are amazon links under all of my videos, just click on one of those links and do your shopping until I can get a new page created. Thanks for letting me know because I did not knw they did this.
Good looking yardbird! Dig your rub too👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks Rick.
Not much smoke ring. I had the best smoke ring ever over Memorial Day with my Hasty Bake!
Not much of a smoke ring because of how hot I had it. This chicken was more of a baked chicken rather than a smoked chicken. I tend to prefer pellet grill chicken at a higher heat.
The brisket that I just posted had a great smoke ring.
@@Viewtoagrill I didn't see the smoke ring on the video.
@@gosman949 It is difficult to miss at 14:16. And once I cut it in half it is on the right side of the video the whole time I cut through the flat.
@@Viewtoagrill I see that now! My bad. Good job!
@@gosman949😤
Chicken done perfectly. I like it. Cheers, Johnny! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Thanks Dwayne.
Holy moly, that is some juicy chicken! I like the way you prep the bird👍😊
Thanks Bobbi.
Curious as to why you're scoring the thigh/drumstick?
You know how there always seems to be the reddish brown stuff around the bones of legs and thighs…. In my opinion, this helps relieve that. It doesn’t prevent it, but I think it reduces it.
@@Viewtoagrill Made this tonight. While the rub was good, we found it too salty. Next time I'll cut the salt by half. Really liked the boneless breast.
@@frederickja hello Fred. Definitely adjust the salt or add another herb. I’m glad you tried it. Take care.
I agree, chicken on a pellet grill is absolutely delicious, these look great bro!
Yeah, once you get chicken on a pellet grow down, you’ll never stick it inside your oven again.
Nice one Jonny, looks good brother👍
Thanks, Mark
Looks delicious, Johnny!
Thanks!
have a great weekend.
Thanks Nelson I hope you have a great weekend as well.
