It's amazing how much functional variation there is among these references. It's definitely not just aesthetic / cosmetic. The power reserve varies greatly. It's like they're different watches.
I have wanted to own a Portugieser for about 5 years now but my tiny wrists just could not carry the large sizes. Enter the new Automatic 40... it's perfect for me! Now an owner of the Ref IW358304, with white dial and blue hands and numerals. Cheers!
Still wears too big for me,it would be perfect at 38mm for that style. Which pushes me back to the chronograph which fills the dial a little more at 41mm. Really frustrating as it would be a home run otherwise
I'm really interested in the chronograph, but I've read that there was a problem where the whole movement locks up when the chronograph seconds hand passes the minutes hand on the main dial. Has IWC addressed that and corrected it? Until I know for sure that the problem has been eliminated, I won't buy this watch.
The 40mm is a stunner. Blue dial always win over all the other colours. No comments for the green one, might be sold under Citizen brand for less than 1k.
I love my Portuguiser , but my Rolex is just a more durable watch. This line has dress watch in its DNA, while most Rolex’s can be worn while doing anything. Hence the popularity.
@@defenstrator4660 I agree Rolex is very versatile but i dont see why a Portuguiser could not be worn everyday with casual clothing like Jeans and a basic Henley shirt. I think it will look great too but that is my own opinion. But i get it why many love to wear sport watches i guess im more into dress watch.
All line of Portugieser is gorgeous.

Dang, that 40 mm 3 hander is an absolute beauty. IWC is on a roll with these Portugiesers.
