Such an honest, raw, vulnerable and emotional birth story. You and Cas will be incredible parents and the love exuded in this video is undeniable. Sending you both all the love and luck in the world xxx Congratulations again, couldn’t be happier for you & Cas! she’s so perfect 🥹🫶🏻🤍✨
Wow! This is the first birth story I've actually sat through. Thank you for going into so much detail and being completely honest Syd ❤️ congratulations! She is beautiful! 🤗
37+4 and this has been sooo helpful & insightful! I’ve never watched such a detailed birth story. Thank you for sharing such a special moment with us 🫶🏼🫶🏼💗💗 She’s beautiful! You did so well!
Love this birth story! Honestly can’t stand the birth stories where they’re like, “I don’t want to call it pain- it was a sensation/ it was intense” like bro it’s pain! Those “positive” birth stories literally do nothing for warning soon to be mamas what they’re about to experience. I appreciate your raw honesty!
I love you for this, as a mum of 3 toddlers it’s nice to see someone talk so real and raw about birth instead of sugar coating it and everyone thinking it’s so magical!
Thank you for going in to so much detail, was really helpful. I have health anxiety and I want children so much but I’m absolutely terrified of birth. It’s really helpful to hear detailed stories like this.
Just amazing syd! & her hair. Jesus that girls hair is beautiful!! My epidural didn’t work & it is such a shame as u have this vision of what it will all look like. My daughter is now 4 & I promise you will think of that day as a blur& just think I got my baby girl safe into this world regardless of that pain. You would do it over and over for them. We’ll done mama. Be so proud of yourself xxx
Just watched this whilst sat at the beach with Elsie napping and all the emotions from my labour started coming back to me!!! You are AMAZING!!! I don’t even know how you coped but she is the luckiest girl to have you as her mummy!! 💖💖💖
I love how honest you are so many people film birth story like a movie and sugar coat it all. You even made me tear up seeing get emotional as been watching you for so many years. I'm sending you and cas so much love ❤
Due next week and have never watched something so reassuring and validating. Your view of the inhumane aspect of birth is exactly how I feel, my only hope is the anger of it motivates me through. Hope you are recovering well!
Well done Sydney, you did an amazing job getting Ocean into the world. I had my daughter 8 months ago and ended up having a c-section, I wish I’d been able to do the birth “naturally” but you have to do what’s best for the baby. The part where you said you don’t believe this day was the best day of your life, I COMPLETELY agree! I can say with confidence my labour was not the best day, it’s scary as hell and so worrying most of the time. Once your baby arrives it’s all worth it but bloody hell the leading up to it is awful! Well done again and enjoy motherhood, it only gets easier!
Everything you said about feeling like the ‘magic had been stolen by the pain’ is so true!! It’s so magical once they are here but the pain 😩 she is beautiful, congratulations and welcome to Motherhood!! ❤
Loved your story ❤ I had contractions for 65 hours start to finish, I had gas and air, pushed for 2 hours and then was rushed for a c-section. My little girl is 7 months old and I'm still coming to terms with the whole thing. Ocean is beautiful ❤
I gave birth 5 weeks ago to my second child. I am so glad to hear that I wasn’t the only one that had a failed epidural. It was THE WORST experience I ever had. Because it was my second, labour does go a lot quicker than your first..I was offered a second try of the epidural and while it was getting put in and you’ve got to stay still, it was all go and my baby girl was coming out, the most scariest experience I’ve had and so so painful! But again, it was my second baby so the labour and pushing is shorter. My first labour was 15 hours and I was pushing for an hour and a half (did have an epidural so I didn’t feel it). With my second, labour was 4 hours and I was pushing for 3 minutes, every labour is different, I wouldn’t let it put you off a second go. Your amazing gal!!! Well done you for getting through it.
Always the realest and I fricken love you for that!! You see so many birth story videos and everyone sugar coats it and yes even as you said everyone is different BUT it gives someone the insights into what could be! You are the strongest momma and Ocean is so lucky to have you and Cass 💖✨
So nice to hear someone speak about induction positively ! I had an induction and am very grateful for how it went 😊 I will have to have one again, for medical reasons, when we decided to have baby number 2 . X
You are literally a superwoman, Mother’s Day is literally celebrated for mums who go through these kind of labours and obviously everything else, raising her etc but you are literally superhuman❤❤❤❤
That is honestly the cutest baby I have ever seen, and the ONLY cute newborn I've ever seen 😍😢 I'm only 21 and not ready for a baby but I cant wait for that stage in my life 🥰
My due date is today, this is perfectly timed! Booked in for my induction on Saturday after it being rescheduled from today and this has both encouraged and terrified me haha! Thank you for the honesty, realness & detail. Congratulations, and well done ❤🎉✨️🫶
Syd I don't have children but my heart had melted she's is so beautiful and your story of your birth wow. You just kept it real and I think that is so important for everyone to know that every birth is different. You should be so proud of yourself, congratulations to You a, Cass and your family .
I was induced with both of babies 22 months apart and they were both very different and I had an epidural with my first but not with my second so the second was more painful but I what I will say is giving birth a second time is SO much better! You literally don’t know what your doing the first time and you have no control at alll but I felt so in control the second time! I think if you plan an epidural and it doesn’t work that’s enough to throw you off mentally! I love how detailed this was as you do forget as time goes on and this is so special to have x
Good for you for being so honest! I was sick in labour too but with no pain relief, it’s actually quite common because your body tries to get rid of everything. I couldn’t keep anything down throughout my whole labour, even early stages. It’s crazy how different labours can be to each other. I never got the urge to push, it was very strange! I know it’s annoying when people say but you do kinda forget the pain, I didn’t for a good 6 months but you do eventually. You did amazing and Ocean is beautiful xx
We have pretty similar birth stories, they tried to insert the epidural 3 times and it never worked, although i was lucky to have gas and air, so you are an absolute hero doing it with nothing, amazing 👏 i always felt i was surrounded by people talking about their perfect births and used to get upset that i didnt have any of those beautiful moments people talk about, so i appreciate you being raw and honest with yours too, a year on and ive realised it doesnt matter and we are all amazing for whatever way we bring our babies into this world 💝 shes absolutely stunning, congratulations xx
I had the same kinda birth. Was induced, epidural didn’t work, tried three times and pain was so insane, I made them do a c section. He’s 16 months old and I’m still not over it. I would do it in a heartbeat again for him but it’s still hard. It was the best day of my life, meeting him, but it definitely wasn’t the best day of my life before that! Thanks for being honest and pure ♥️♥️♥️
Very accurate description. I feel like I’ve never heard anyone be as honest as to what it’s really truly like. I can’t believe you did it with no pain relief 😮💨 it might be different next time if you have an epidural that hopefully works ! xx best wishes
Never ever clicked on a video so fast in all my life.. Syd I am so freaking happy for you. Your absolutely glowing ❤ she’s so so so beautiful, your thriving at your mummy job already 😘😘😘😘
I completely agree with what you said! I was induced at 39 weeks, and it didn't kick in for me until 3 days of being in the hospital! I had my waters broke at 1cm and within 2 hours I was 8cm! I've never felt pain like it and I genuinely have trauma from it! But in another breath I'd do it all again for my baby girl! Congratulations to you, she's perfect, you are a natural! Sending you all the love xxxxxxx
syd you’re amazing! this made me so emotional just hearing how much you went through but seem sooo happy and so positive now these first few weeks in💕you went through so much and to be so open about what you experienced is so unimaginably strong, this i why i love you and your videos!! hope you’re all doing well!
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing such detail about your birthing story. I don't have kids yet and I am terrified of the pain, I have a really low pain threshold but hearing you speak about it honestly gives me comfort, doesn't take my hate for pain away but really really helps with the anxiety. You are amazing, and continue doing the things you need to help yourself work through that traumatic experience ❤ xx
Couldn’t agree with this more. I had my little boy in November with only gas and air and I totally agree with not being able to enjoy it due to the pain, I endured hours of pain and just wasn’t able to enjoy it like I wish I could have. However Congratulations ocean is absolutely beautiful and you should feel so proud 💕
its such a shame you can't look back at it in a magical way. But a least you have your beautiful Ocean now and you can make all the magical memories with her xx
I’m SOO glad you spoke about this so honestly. I was induced with my first and it was horrendous😩 it took 30 hours and my epidural didn’t work properly either. The whole “you forget the pain” is all lies because she’s nearly 3 now and I absolutely hate even talking about my labour with her, the pain was indescribable. I always say to people the time she was born was one of the worst times of my life which obviously sounds awful but it was so traumatic. luckily my labour with my second was incredible and really fast so don’t think if you ever have another one it’ll be the same! Congratulations angel you’re doing amazing🩷🩷🩷
Your the only person I can relate to now. My baby is turning 6 months and I had such an awful experience where I’m now so scared to have other children. My waters was broken at 1pm and I gave birth at 4pm. My midwives never told me I had preeclampsia the whole time and my body was pushing at 3cm to save the baby and me. I tore all the way into my womb and my uterus stopped working so blood was clotting and was rushed to theatre. I was in intensive care for days without my new born. Never held her after and was separated for days. It’s still affecting me now. She is the best thing that’s ever happened to me but the day was so awful and I can’t seem to escape a nightmare from how it’s affected my mental health now 😢
Aww Syd enjoyed every second of that video! My little boys 3 and a half now an your details was bringing back so much memories! (Mine was very diff from yours but still) ocean is beautiful and such a gorgeous name! 🫶🏼
I loved this!! I love the detail and honesty. I had an epidural fail too and we didn’t realise till they hooked me up onto the hormone drip and I felt the hell that drip causes!! They did get a second one in that worked thankfully and good job as I ended up in emergency c section!! But huge congratulations and pat on the back for doing all of that with no epidural or gas and air!! 👏 My little boy is now 13 Weeks and motherhood is THE BEST!! ❤
I know people say you forget the pain but i think its actually when you give birth the pains gone ocean is beautiful well done hun and not to scare parents but the after pain after your second it feels like bad period pains so always make sure you have paracetamol with you just a warning as no one told me about it ok its alot different now a days as my second child was 28 years ago even tho it feels like yesterday best feeling ever been a parent I've got 3 boys/ men and they are my life ❤
I had forceps & was pushing for 3 hours:( it honestly is the most painful thing in the world. And it really does put you off wanting more which is heartbreaking 😞
Well done you’re amazing! I know what you mean about the pain robbing you of that ‘magical moment’ for both of my births I wasn’t able to have an epidural even though I wanted one. You are not alone and it does pass I felt like I never wanted another baby for ages after my first because of the pain but I did have another! 💗💙
She’s adorable. Huge congratulations xxx your birth story is quite a traumatic one. I hope you forget the pain eventually. I’ve got three kids and I was lucky with my births. All straight forward and easy. It’s lovely to see how much love you have for your beautiful baby girl. Xxxx congrats again to you and cas. Lovely little family xx
Omg first off congrats mama she is seriously absolutely beautiful soo stinking adorable and that head of hair holy cow she really is one of the most beautiful infants I have ever seen truly … second off we literally had the same due date !!! I just had my second little girl they ended up inducing me at 36 weeks though cuz I was bleeding so badly and fluid and was having a lot of complications but I am soo glad you really went into detail about your birth I have watched a lot of them and by far yours was my favorite I also had a rough time in labor with this one with being induced and everything else and than I had complications after and literally was bed ridden for 2 days and couldn’t even see my babes cuz with her being a little early they had her in the nicu so that sucked soo bad but when I finally got my epidural mine didn’t work at all either my first birth I was fine without it but since I was induced the pain was on a whole other level from that medication that use I alot was shaking soo damn bad and had no control over it .. but anyways I agree it’s actually insanity wat us women go through to give her birth and it really is soo hard to explain weather it’s to your partner or someone who hadn’t gone through it but you really did a fantastic job I throughly enjoy watching this and never related to abortive story so much !!!! But seriously great job mama your a superstar and she truly is just soo damn beautiful!!! ❤❤❤ and btw can we talk about how flipping amazing you look for a mama who just gave birth !!!! So beautiful wth !! I look like I rolled out of a damn grave haha 😂
Omg Syd it sounds horrendous the journey you went through over 3 days. Well Done for not making it too Raw or Graphic the videos , as it the intimacy of your labour and birth journey. Glad you and baby girl Ocean are ok though, she’s so beautiful like her mummy 🥹💖 xx
Oh Sydney, she is beautiful! Welcome to this crazy world, Ocean! Syd, i mentioned in a previous vlog about taking Floradix/iron supplement, now it is more important than ever seeing as you lost quite a bit of blood. All the best and lots of love xx
We have similar birth stories, my epidural never worked also but we powered through and got our beautiful babies! There is no feeling like it! Ocean is beautiful and you are glowing❤ congratulations to you both❤
Epi didn’t work for me either, I still felt so much! I think all it did was slow down my contractions slightly as my waters had to be broken and they were back to back at that point! You did amazing mumma ❤️
Don’t worry I know how you feel and I’m glad you are so honest as well. I wished my birth story was one to tell people and it was great but it wasn’t at all. My daughters umbilical cord was also wrapped around her next twice and I was 5 cm dilated for hours everytime I had an contraction it was like a bungee me wanted to push and her not being able to come out because of her umbilical cord and because of that I had to have an emergency csection in the end but now my daughter is 7 months and I just look at her everyday and am blessed that she got here safe and healthy ☺️❤️
I was at my grandsons birth on Weds,so your video brought it all back so vividly. His due date was actually Mon 8th May,and his mum was going to induced on that day,as she was pre diabetic.Anyway thy decided to give her a sweep on Tues 1st May,with hopes it would bring on her labour. That then got cancelled to Weds, but on tues evening her waters started to go,and she wasn’t rly in any pain,so thy called the hospital at 5am,on Weds morning and were told to get there for 6am.By the time thy got there she was 4cm dialated. So she was put in a delivery suite, and my son phoned to say I could make my way to the hospital,as thy were going to put her on the hormone drip.Within an hour on that drip, the old contractions had ramped up a gear,so thy gave her gas and air.She coped well for a while, and eventually said she needed to push.It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen, this tiny little human entering the world. Frankie Jon was born at 13.10 on Weds 3rd May,weighing 7lb 3oz.And perfect in every way. Thankyou for sharing your story, and Ocean is absolutely beautiful xx
Congrats mama 💕. You look amazing and ocean is just perfect. She is such a mix of you and cass could sqish her through the phone she is just tooo much 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Omgosh, you’ve been through it mama! I’m so sorry that the birth wasn’t what you had envisioned. My first wasn’t either, I think that’s more common than we think! Baby girl is precious and I’m so happy you are both well ❤
Thank you so so much Sydney for sharing this story and I am so so excited to listen this story you are my inspiration and I will support you till end ☺️💞✨
Congratulations Syd. She’s so beautiful! You and me were pregnant at the same time, I had my son via emergency c section March 18th but he was actually due a few days before ocean 🌊 you did great babe and you look amazing!
The ring of fire is the worst thing I have ever experienced! I remember my mum talking about it a lot but I didn’t believe her. WOW. Once I felt it, I knew straight away what it was!
Oh my goodness she is so cute she has so much hair 🥹🫶🏻 I just found out I’m having a girl and I can’t wait to meet her 18 weeks right now congratulations 💗
Haha I kept saying one baby only one baby only!!! I had my first baby few days before you and my labour was intense! The whole labour was 5 hours and 3 pushes with one cut made! it was great bc so fast but had no time to enjoy anything or take photos etc. my epidural failed as they said it’s shity equipment bc if brexit and it leaked on my shoulder! So did it all on my own then they fixed it an hour before pushing so had a relax then 3 big pushes and he was out! Crazy! I love talking birth stories now it’s just the best but my god the pain is like you said in humane I was screaming the place down begging for help 😂 I had no time between contractions which I wasn’t expecting. Then I couldn’t get placenta out so first two hours I was taken away from baby but my partner got to have him luckily but that part was hard. Thanks for sharing your story! Your girl is beautiful ❤ the best moment is when they’re placed onto your chest and look at you 🥹 the pain of labour is not the best day 😂
anyone know why the hospital wants to get rid of gas and air? i had both my last 2 babys with just gas and air.. no medications! so why get rid of gas and air?
Bloody loved this!! The hardest bit for me was getting his head round the bend! (Downside of being a horse rider and having a strong pelvic floor because of horse riding) and your so right, it feels like 1 step forward 10 steps back!! Well done Syd!!!❤❤
I watched the majority of this nodding my head as this happened to me but the ending is different as I had an emergency c-section due to infection in my waters and baby girl was stuck 🫣 congratulations Angel - induced contractions are sooo painful xxx
I remember all the Dr's running in too was scary. My partner said the blood was gushing out me onto a puddle on the floor. They made everyone leave the room x
Ocean is so beautiful!!!!! I had 3 babies with no pain relief and I totally agree with you...... You actually feel like you are dying!!!!! Luckily my labours were really quick, so didn't have to suffer the length of time you did but THAT pain is indescribable!!!!! Congratulations guys and also..... Her name is stunning!!!! Xx
you've been such a strong mumma from day one !! appreciate you sharing your story, Sydney ❤

I’d love to hear a part 2 about what happened to you afterwards such as the aftercare with you and Ocean and then coming home 😊
So proud of you Syd, been watching you for years and never seen you this happy. You’re the best mum for little Ocean 🩷
This is the realist birth story I have ever watched !! Thank you for being so honest! I’m so happy for you both❤

She is the best thing that’s ever happened to me but the day was so awful and I can’t seem to escape a nightmare from how it’s affected my mental health now 😢
Love your vulnerability in this. So happy for you and Cass xxx
syd she is the absolute spitting image of you!! she is absolutely gorgeous, congratulations!!! xxxxx
congratulations❤️been waiting for this one, i’m so happy for you and your little family
She is such a gorgeous baby. I know you guys are gonna be amazing parents. God bless you all! Will pray for you guys 🙏❤️
She is absolutely beautiful 🥹 you’re a super mama!! I’m 18 months postpartum and I still haven’t forgotten the pain 🩵
So excited to watch ❤️ Your an amazing mum to Ocean🫶
Aww Syd enjoyed every second of that video! My little boys 3 and a half now an your details was bringing back so much memories! (Mine was very diff from yours but still) ocean is beautiful and such a gorgeous name! 🫶🏼
Absolutely loved this video & really appreciated all the details❤️ you’re amazing Syd well done!!!
So beautiful🤍you are absolutely glowing Syd, motherhood suits you so much! Ocean is lucky to have you as her mummy 🐚 🌊 🤍
Yayyyy been waiting for this💗. You're the best mama. Congratulations xxx
she’s adorable🧸congratulations on your gorgeous family🐚
Well done you’re amazing!
I know what you mean about the pain robbing you of that ‘magical moment’ for both of my births I wasn’t able to have an epidural even though I wanted one. You are not alone and it does pass I felt like I never wanted another baby for ages after my first because of the pain but I did have another! 💗💙
Such an inspirational woman 🫶🏻
Ahhh thank you so much!! Congratulations with your second bubby!!! All the best🤍🤍
Just found your channel and I’m kinda obsessed. Your honestly beautiful, such a cute family x

Congratulations darling. Beautiful baby and mama. Enjoy every minute of motherhood 🎉
This was so amazing!! She is perfect!! Congratulations❤
Your honesty in this video, thank you 💕 I am not wanting children however I loved hearing your story, and you are both SO beautiful 💙
Ocean is beautiful and you are glowing❤ congratulations to you both❤
Thank you so much 🤍🤍 go girl!
Congratulations to the two of you, she is so beautiful 🥰 thank you for being so real with us, you’ve done a fantastic job x x
How incredible! Love how honest you were 😅😂 she’s beautiful 🥹 congratulations both 👶🏼❤️

Having no gas & air is horrendous. You’re so strong Syd. Congratulations on baby Ocean 🩵 xx
Omg you looks so so so young
Congratulations Syd. She’s so beautiful! You and me were pregnant at the same time, I had my son via emergency c section March 18th but he was actually due a few days before ocean 🌊 you did great babe and you look amazing!
Thank you! & congratulations on your little bundle of joy!!
This is so beautiful, she’s adorable and your an amazing to ocean♥️♥️
I read up on it because I wondered that too. Apparently it's because the staff are being exposed to it too much?
Bloody loved this!!
The hardest bit for me was getting his head round the bend! (Downside of being a horse rider and having a strong pelvic floor because of horse riding) and your so right, it feels like 1 step forward 10 steps back!!
Well done Syd!!!❤❤
Me too!! (I’m no horse rider) literally feels like trying to shit out a basketball! 😂🙈
Xx
3 babies no pain relief!! Where’s your trophies babes?!!? Hahaha thanks so much xxxx
