I used to work in a dealership as a tech and they would rush me to do the oil change as fast as possible so I could focus on doing an inspection so they could try to sell the customer other services.
Every 10min or so someone would come to me and say "the customer wants to know how much longer it will take", eventually I would just drop the car down and say "f-it they can have it as is if they are in such a hurry".
Best advice I can give you is to drop off the car and tell them all you want is the complimentary service and nothing more, then go shopping or something and have them call you when the car is done.

to their defense, the lube kids usually are forced to work flat rate early on. meaning the guy who is doing this is making about $12 an hour and has a $5k+ tool bill to pay on the tool truck still.
they get paid 18 minutes of their hourly rate to do this oil change and do your 24 point inspection, paperwork, get parts and pull your car in and out of the shop while keeping their stall "clean". in the end they eat top ramen while us higher up techs dine on fancy feast wet food, dreaming about port house steaks.
the only people who eat steaks in the dealer are managers, and all sales staff. the service repair staff are the unsung heroes who just are trying to keep it all together, while often times making small mistakes because they aren't paid to do a job correctly anymore.
it won't get better anytime soon because people above us grow accustomed to making millions of dollars every year and don't give us raises, listen to our concerns or give a rats ass about how it affects our mental state working for pennies.
the term "flat rate" was the downfall of the automotive industry. it's the equivalent of being paid 100% on commission, even though you have no control over almost any aspect of your job.

Their best mechanics, which can draw very high pay, are put on more costly, complex jobs where they can bill out more hours than they actually take. Oil/filter changes don't make them any real money but having your vehicle in where they may spot other maintenance/repair needs can. I used to work with a guy that did that all the time. He’d get me and other of my coworkers in trouble when he’d leave the dipsticks half way out while the oil was draining because he had this theory that the oil wouldn’t drain right or fast enough without it being out (which is stupid anyways because the rest of us would take the oil cap off and put it against the hood latch so that we wouldn’t forget to put oil back in) the kicker was he didn’t even check the oil with the dipstick when he was done so he’d always pull cars out with the dipsticks out and leaving the customer with a bad service and a messy engine bay. Eventually he finally got fired and I got myself the hell out of the car business soon after that due to the fact that I’d always be used to teach lube rack kids along with being a flat rate tech in the back shop myself and having to make money off them and my own work to survive.

They also only work on cars that they know where everything is UNDER THE HOOD. They do exactly what the dealers do except often charge less per house FYI.
