TLDR: they didn't have mods, but decided to add some cause it was loved in MW3

Also it wasn't just aftermarket parts, there were tons of new camos and unique attachments and those attachments weren't just for one gun lol
It’s honestly a much worse version of the Chicom. The recoil is awful for a burst gun. I personally would rather use the base gun, since it kills faster and has a more manageable recoil…
It’s nothing like the Chicom. The Chicom had no burst delay at all which allowed it to be fired at max rpm and also had less recoil. To me this feels like the Raijin from infinite warfare but they destroyed the damage on it lol

I fully agree with the recoil buff idea. The mod is fun but I don't like the fact that it currently makes me feel like I'm locked into using a compensator just for the weapon to feel semi controllable. The recoil being buffed would make it more viable to use a suppressor which I feel would be very fun.
Yeah jak headhunter was a lot of fun after the buff and it wasn’t crazy OP but it was a top tier weapon. This thing is just straight trash in comparison
Yeah the stats match my experience with this gun. Which is a shame, I really wanted to like it since the burst conversion for one of the mps in the recent MW3 was my favourite gun in the game. It was accurate so you could stretch the range alot but it was still good up close. But with the Kompakt, the slower ttk combined with the recoil makes it suboptimal in every aspect imo, especially in fast paced modes/maps where people slide and strafe around at mach 5. Tried using it on Stakeout and got demolished, changed to full auto and suddenly got kills again. Like you said, less recoil and maybe a slightly faster firerate would make it alot better.
shouldve been a 4rounder. somewhat consistent oneburst kills in its optimal range wouldve given this thing a niche since you cant extend it with barrels AND the burst mod blocking most recoil attachments you likely wouldnt be onebursting anyone past 8-10m if that anyway. currently it isnt just suboptimal like the base kompact is or the chicom was, its straight up trash
Nah, the stats aren't lying, it's complete trash. The recoil is ridiculous because of the short delay between bursts and slow re-center. The recoil in the standard gun was manageable, but this completely throws your aim off the moment it resets the burst. I was so disappointed by this because the mod for the XM4 makes its so much better, but not here.
As a hardcore player, the burst mode is a god send. It definitely needs recoil buff and the possibility to change the barrel or under barrel or both. If I’m using a slot to make the gun a 3-round burst, don’t take away 1/4 of the remaining attachments. At this point, they should have just added the Chicom as a separate weapon instead of making a mediocre gun even more mediocre.
this guy is a pro with recoil control. i just tried this myself in the firing range and the recoil is INSANE. no chance id ever use this in a game ever.
Hardcore player here! The base Kompakt was so bad, it was hard to use even there where almost every gun works, but the burst attachment turned it into my favorite. And yeah, it does feel a bit like BO2's Chicom, though the auto-bursting took some getting used to. The best Hardcore SMGs are still probably the Jackal and of course the Tanto, but it was nice to see the Kompakt finally find a home. Good data on the muzzles; I'll have to switch to the compensator.
As I use the Kompact92 as my primary gun since the mid-season update, I tried this mod the moment I unlocked it, hoping it would be a similar change in utility to the Kompact that the 3 round burst had on the XM4. There are clear benefits from using the 3 round burst on the XM4, but depending upon the playstyle, the full auto also has clear advantages. in short, it made two different guns that work well in different situations. First of all I was highly disappointed by how restrictive the attachment was in comparison to the XM4's mod. By removing the ability to use the key attachments on the Kompact that allowed it to be competitive in mid-range gun fights, the 3 round burst turned this into a worse version of itself. With the rate of fire on the base gun, the only advantage any burst fire mod could have is if you could put 3-6 bullets RIGHT where you wanted them. By increasing the recoil and decreasing the effective fire rate, while also preventing the use of a barrel AND the underbarrel attachments this gun becomes bullet for bullet a worse version of itself. I never had a situation when NOT using the burst where I thought "if I had the increased damage of the burst here I would have won that gunfight", but there were MANY times when I thought "I would have won that fight in full auto", or "I wish I had my silencer". In short, If a burst mod does not give a 3 shot kill (even with one to the head) and improve accuracy to the Kompact92 while taking away all that it gets from the barrel and underbarrel attachments, no one will use it over the base gun.
For this burst mod i tried every attachments and i can say compensator quickdraw strelok 3 burst kepler was the best for me. Before using strelok i thought gun was garbage, Strelok did this gun okay - good for me.
Omg I should have watched this an hour ago when I was finishing dark matter on the kompakt... I struggled so bad with it for no reason... well it's weak af lol. But as soon as I finished it I started the C9 and finished it in 2 lives. Took 4 or 5 games to finish the kompakt
One thing i would like to see you add Ace is a touch of subjective input. Objective math is obviously very important but it doesn't tell the story with some weapons. Some guns look bad on paper but just "feel" better. Imo the burst mod made this gun amazing. You hold the trigger a couple bursts get the kill and you aim at another target it just feels so much more forgiving and less recoil. I'm always curious what your opinion is on a gun not just facts 😂. I've watched you for a long time and think it would make the gun guides even better. Just my .02

I’ve really leaned into the hipfire for my build. Effective for turning corners and tight areas the idea is to be walking with the gun lowered and take your first shots at the hip then start ADS at the end of the first burst/in time for your second burst. This way you don’t encounter any sprint out times, and make use of its tight hip fire and 4-5 shot kill. Just land 1-2 shots from the first burst and make sure you land that second burst. Most useful as an overkill sidearm or good in small maps/face off. Build: Burst Mod Compensator Extended Mag 1 No Stock Steady Aim Laser
Its not great but i found it 100x easier to get the headshot challenges done, dont know if it was just me but the second burst recoil just hit peoples heads so consistently
Not the biggest fan of the burst mod, finding myself losing a lot of gunfights i shouldn't be losing up close, maybe Im just ass though, but I think blocking out 2 of the most important attachment slots imo is a big downside to using the burst mod as well. Maybe if we could run a fully kitted gunfighter build with all the slots available, it would be a lot better.
There’s over 30 guns (handguns included, not launchers). It’s just that many of them perform so similar that there’s not a lot of difference between them. So it seems boring. Using an M4 is not very different from the Krig or Model L. So what’s the point of having 3 ARs that perform in a similar fashion? I want variety in performance. But BO6 lacks in that department.

If you go to warzone you can select bo6, MW2, or MW3 guns in the firing range and there are so many more MW guns to select. Sure there are likely more guns to be added in seasons, but most of the leaks are showing mostly melee weapons. The gun variety and options in bo6 are very lame like you said. And I am very disappointed none of the ARs have good iron sights. And I also noticed many of the ARs even share the same exact magazine. It’s just lazy design. Many of the reloads are even the same.
The KSP45 completely destroys this gun. Shorter burst delay (slow fire rate) but still 1 bursts up to 22m and still far more accurate with 42 mags. Still has a ttk of less than 220ms which made it a high risk high reward smg because each shot is fired at i believe 700 something-ish with a BV that wasnt too high therefore making it not too good for mid to long range shots as player can evade your shots due to BV. This burst mod is just horrible to use except on zombies because duh. More damage. If the verticle recoil is significantly reduces while maintaining the same horizontal recoil, i will then consider it having similar recoil to the KSP45. The headhunter from mw3 was a monster as well. 1 burst with a two head shot from a very long distance, on top of superior handling and extremely low recoil also throws this gun to shame in all aspects.
I was really hoping for a burst smg in bo6, and this mod is disappointing. I'd rather see something that can one burst up close like the ksp from cw. Or at least buff the recoil like you said, the headhunter rival in mw3 was great as a low recoil 2 burst smg. Or the daemon from bo4 even.
I was so looking forward to this attachment, but after using it, I think it's hot garbage. I usually really like burst SMGs; this missed the mark, especially since they blocked off the Barrel category. Crazy how we went from a godly burst SMG (Lachmann Shroud) to this 😂
Why MW3 was my perfect modern COD. It was a perfect blend of the faster, more fun, less campy gameplay and an actually great and interesting gunsmith like MW19 had. Now we're back in the stone ages...
@befayedocrimes4751 I never gave it the chance, after cold wars gunsmith I couldn't trust the rest. I just loved how I could play S and D and have a pistol as a sniper and a stoner as an SMG. Ugh so many unique classes I could make, now all so bland
My initial impressions are that this thing stinks but I’m willing to be proven wrong Edit: Nah it feels terrible and stats show it’s terrible too. They didn’t learn from the Rival 9 JAK headhunter kit which was stronger than this yet was still weak and got a big buff and still wasn’t considered totally overpowered after that buff
do not waste your time with this, it is absolutely horrible and full of hitmarkers, might be decent in hard core but regular core it's absolutely horrible

@ I like your game play. The opposing team does t actually look like they’re sweaty or shooting back much. You’d obviously upload your best gameplay but this cod is just insanely sweaty. My kd was a very mild 1.34 in mw3 and I used to be insanely sweaty at bo2 back in the day at 2.5kd. I’m just casual now. With assist added to kills it’s just 1.25 on bo6. It was 1.10 for the first month of this game upon release. I’ve gotten adjusted but it’s still insanely sweaty. I don’t like it, I don’t like the de-sync and lack of bullet reg whether it be moving players or standing. It’s an ai generated game and I’m surprised you’re still in this. I know it’s your job and hobby but I’d rather play mw3 or go outside and go fishing haha
I don't understand why this was a fire mod and not a barrel attachment. I would have liked to see this used with rapid fire to reduce the burst delay, or recoil springs to rein in that recoil, but it locks out EVERY SINGLE attachment slot with recoil mitigation except muzzle, which only helps for vertical. Sometimes the gunsmith in this game feels needlessly stifling and un-diverse
Really dig the mods so far. Really hoping they continue to add to these. MW22/23 really knocked it out of the park with these

imo its a bug that not only does the recoil not reset, its actually worse than the full auto's recoil. im surprised QA didnt catch it

i like to use it on a hip fire build with sprint to fire attachements since you need to aim, it's actually fairly decent on non gunfight modes
Favorite gun all time is the chicom. I was hoping I’d have a burst smg to have fun with again. This was just disappointing.

Running the gun with for hip fire with the movement speed stock and steady aim laser is really fun.
I had no idea this killed so slow. Whenever I use this I feel like I'm deleting people compared to the base gun.

Don’t know how I saw a sweaty get best play. He one tapped a whole team in a nuketown house.

@befayedocrimes4751 I never gave it the chance, after cold wars gunsmith I couldn't trust the rest. I just loved how I could play S and D and have a pistol as a sniper and a stoner as an SMG. Ugh so many unique classes I could make, now all so bland

So basically the only reason to use this in hardcore.
It makes the gun worse, I prefer full auto + rapid fire and that integrated suppressor
Recoil is terrible. I tried it the other day but useless at range with that accuracy combined with slower TTK close = Worthless.

Edit: Nah it feels terrible and stats show it’s terrible too. They didn’t learn from the Rival 9 JAK headhunter kit which was stronger than this yet was still weak and got a big buff and still wasn’t considered totally overpowered after that buff

This game sucks. Honestly I don’t understand why ace still does content. Jgod has temporarily given up because the game is trash. I play mw3 and everything is so much better

@ I like your game play. The opposing team does t actually look like they’re sweaty or shooting back much. You’d obviously upload your best gameplay but this cod is just insanely sweaty. My kd was a very mild 1.34 in mw3 and I used to be insanely sweaty at bo2 back in the day at 2.5kd. I’m just casual now. With assist added to kills it’s just 1.25 on bo6. It was 1.10 for the first month of this game upon release. I’ve gotten adjusted but it’s still insanely sweaty. I don’t like it, I don’t like the de-sync and lack of bullet reg whether it be moving players or standing. It’s an ai generated game and I’m surprised you’re still in this. I know it’s your job and hobby but I’d rather play mw3 or go outside and go fishing haha
Absolutely useless mod
I don't understand why this was a fire mod and not a barrel attachment. I would have liked to see this used with rapid fire to reduce the burst delay, or recoil springs to rein in that recoil, but it locks out EVERY SINGLE attachment slot with recoil mitigation except muzzle, which only helps for vertical.
Sometimes the gunsmith in this game feels needlessly stifling and un-diverse
