His radar detector went off and so it allowed him to know there is a cop, so he needs to be careful. So he started looking around to find him, and there he was, to the right.
@natehenderson9835 used to run a valentine but we stepped up to the uniden r9. Sub system is a stinger 5 head system for the truck 4 heads for car. That's redundant now that r9 supports jamming.

It's K band the most common false alert I get is from K band. Now if it was KA I would be worried. K bank can give a false alert from collision, avoidance systems from cars, super common when I tried to get a K band
These things are kinda good an kinda not good they go off on a decent amount of shit like cell phone towers an there's a few other's things that sets it off I can't remember what it was but something set it off one time an I was kinda tripping that it set it off

Cadillac, Honda, and Acura blind spot sensors use K band radar. KA is typically a cop, at least in the Midwest states.
Fairly typical pretty much everywhere east of the Mississippi, KAs a cop, K bands a door or blind spot sensor with the exception of a few speed detecting signs etc running K band. I’ve seen some documents online where people documented the bands of ALL the counties and municipalities as a reference…
Only small town PD can still be found using K frequency speed detection equipment, but even then it’s really rare.
Good radar detectors won't go crazy with cars on the road. If you actually own a good one too you can tell if its a cop too or false alarm with how it reacts

K Band is a zillion diff things. Usually automatic doors on gas station entrances, for instance. I literally disabled the K alert for mine. Watch out for Ka and Laser, those are cops. Kinda weird you've got car friends and no one told you this yet lol.

Yea, I said the same thing you said too. Only I been good since 04. Next day (June 3/23) I got hit for 79 in a 70 which is bs cause I was following the same speed as heavy traffic. But I had an out of state plate so go figure . Then got it for 50 in a 40 the next day but back in my old town. I do have the worst luck though.
K Band also goes off near stores too. People used to say it was from the door sensor on auto open ones.

Saved me quite a few times but be careful pigs still lie sometimes I got pulled over and the cop claimed he caught me on laser even though I watched him the whole time and my radar detector never went off (usually picks up laser 1/2 a mile) I played back the daschcam footage and he never pointed a laser at me 😂😂

He quickly changed the subject and proceeded to claim that my floor mats, which needed washing at the time, had the car smelling like weed. I gave him and his buddies permission to search and they found nothing. After all the waste of time, these people told me to be safer next time and left...

@@samuelarminana No. A lot of radar detectors seem to pick up cop's radars around half a mile away. A lot of times the radar detector will start beeping for Ka band well before you and the cop even get close to each other. For example, the cop could be sitting on an entrance ramp half a mile down the road, and if he turns his radar on, your detector will start beeping well before you guys can even see each other. Unless the cops are sitting there with their radar off completely and you're alone on the road, typically you have way more than enough time to slow down until you pass them.

These are super illegal in Australia but so is everything lol get caut with nitrous bottles or any heavy modifications (even an open air intake) and your getting your car taken off the road it’s getting beyond a joke. It basically let you know if a cop is somewhere around you.
It detects radars. It can detect any radar, which is honestly used all over the place. If it was a ka band instead of a k band it would almost certainly be a cop. This could be caused by a multitude of things.

Problem with radar detectors (unless they fixed the problem in newer ones) is that the backup sensors on other cars can set them off. They don’t have to even be backing up, just the presence of them can set them off.
That being said, I encountered this problem years ago, so I don’t know if it’s still a problem.

They have to get you for a certain amount of time they can’t just turn it on and have one number pull up a half a second later and use that in court they have to clock you doing a speed and if they don’t it’s as easy to beat as asking for the proof that he clocked you. That’s why it’s called getting clocked

@@600wheelthey can also tail you a minimum of 3/10 of a mile (though they go longer), because the speedometer in all police cars are certified 100% accurate. So, 65 in a cruiser IS 65. Not 62, or 66, or 68, or whatever the variance is on your non police speedo.

That’s actually a great idea. People on the sex offender registry and certain other felons should be required to have a chip implanted that alerts peoples phones in their vicinity. It doesn’t have to pinpoint them, but just have a zone so people will be aware of their presence. A modern day scarlet letter.

A lot of states have outlawed radar detectors. I know Virginia has laws against using them. Idk if that's changed or not since I first learned about it.
Mississippi and Virginia are the only states I’m aware of that currently have radar detectors as illegal so they’re fine long as you aren’t living in those states.
