You may be wondering how to use a crash ride cymbal if you've never heard of it before. In this video, I go over a few different ways we can use a crash ride cymbal. As the same says, it's both a crash cymbal and a ride cymbal in ONE.
So, it's really the best of both worlds and gives us more for less. Even though there isn't a right or wrong way to play them, I wanted to go over some ideas here in the video.
A look at my gear here:

The beat at 4:28 needs to be used in a song, straight badass
That burp bro😂
I’m a big fan of crash rides. I have 19” kerope and avedis reissue crash rides that are killer. I also have an old 18” avedis crash ride. I’ve got a couple rides that crash well too; a K sweet 21” and a K Con 20” med thin low.
Which one is your favorite? Anything Zildjian K is always great and a guaranteed monster lol
@@AttunedMusician favorite is a hard one. I really love the kerope. That is one that never leaves my setup. That being said, i think the k sweet ride is probably more versatile.
In most cases in the studio and locally, I would use my kerope and k con but I don’t think I would tour with them. The road is too hard on gear to use cymbals that expensive in my opinion. I’d probably use my sweet ride and either A crashes or k custom dark crashes if I ever toured again.
What cymbals are these? Got a brand and model for meh?
Saluda Mist X heavy crash/ride
pretty affordable cymbals
@@AttunedMusicianthank ya my good man!
I liked the second one better
Thanks man, me too!
