Hey Wizard viewers! I need some help from all of you awesome subscribers. As you can see from the video, I need a front air dam. Any help on a clean used one would be greatly appreciated!

It's a Mitsubishi Starion Turbo. I used to work at the factory in NZ and we imported these made up direct from Japan.

The Conquest. For the guy in the 80's that rants about how terrible foreign cars are and that everyone should be buying American without knowing that he's driving a Japanese car.

Hello wizard, I just came from Tyler’s video. You looked devastated. Im here to tell you everybody makes mistakes. This didn’t do anything with your reputation. You are still the “mechanic”. This incident proved that not only are you our wizard but an amazing human being as well.

    "Made by Chrysler" that's a bold statement on a re-badged Mitsubishi :)

Too bad it's just a rebadged Mitsubishi...I had 3 friends of mine who each owned a Conquest Tsi at one time or another during our high school years (I graduated in 1991) one of which was brand new, they were all over the place here in San Jose, Calif back then....they were pretty quick little rigs too....

You know you're old when a car that was your girlfriend's from decades ago is the subject of some retro nostalgia.

The 1987 Chrysler Conquest was extremely rare to find, but there were excellent vehicles back in the day. Now, they are way too small, so other vehicular buyers, get something larger like a 2008 Nissan Quest 3.5 SE minivan and/or a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE V6 AWD eight-passenger mid-size crossover SUV. Anyway, there will be more, newer Car Wizard videos to come on a permanent basis and I hope there will more, other vehicles to come into the shop, as well. Thank you very much and have a great, long weekend in the United States.

I worked as an alignment and chassis mechanic through the 1980's. The Station/Conquest was among my top 3 favorite cars to drive: Porsche 914 and 1st gen Toyota MR2 were the other 2. All 3 had a handling quality I called "point and shoot driveability". Left hand at 11o'clock on the steering wheel with index finger pointing at the road ahead, right hand on the shift knob (manual transmission, of course), right foot pinning the throttle to the floor. Wherever you pointed is where those cars went. Thanks for bringing this to us. Btw, the ads at the time all pronounced the Mitsubishi version as "Star-eon", not "Stair-eon". Thanks again to you and Mrs Wizard for making these videos, she makes you look marvelous!

The Electric Power Steering you refer to is the ABS Unit & only just the rear Brakes, the power steering pump was on the passenger side low down on the block. We have 5 of them in our Stable

My “cool” uncle drove one of these in the late-80’s. As kids that were ~10 years old, me and my sister thought this car made him that much cooler. His interior always seemed to be coated in an entire bottle of Armor All because that black leather shined like crazy. We also appreciated when he didn’t have a girlfriend and threw us in there and gave us a ride to the skating rink on a Saturday night. Now that was livin!

I bought a Turbo Starion when they were new back in the 80's... Loved the car, wish I still had it, but traded it on a new Mitsu 3000 GTVR4!!!

I like how your channel is the result of your business rather than the other way around. Lets your channel have a more natural feel to it.

Starion/Conquest prices just went up because the Wizard said they were "rare".

Its missing the front Airdam that covers the intercooler. I have an 87 Starion just like it.

The old joke about the Starion: It’s stablemates at the time were the Colt, Canter, Lancer, Galant etc. Somehow “Stallion” got lost in translation...😎

Thanks for showing a car you don't see anymore, and in red, to boot! These aren't around because young guys would rod the daylights out of them! They'd either blow up the engine/turbo/trans or wad it into a light pole. I knew two best friends; when these came out, one got the Mitsu. About 3 days later, Hector got the Chrysler. They raced those things any and every chance they got. The Mitsu lasted about 2 weeks but the Chrysler went on for almost a year. The Mitsu slid into a fire plug. They were VERY sharp and quick lil cars, though!
