My name is Kaiya Pelletier and I am documenting my metal journey as I discover and listen to metal music for the first time ever. I'm in my mid 20's and I've been a singer songwriter and performer for over 10 years. Currently I live in Stillwater, Oklahoma and I am in the process of recording my 4th album. I love Mexican food, collecting Stephen King novels, collecting CD's and cassettes and my favorite movies are tied between Jurassic Park and Alien.

An album by the name of Time 2 is (supposedly) coming out this year. Just throwing that out there.
Will be listening to the new Saxon today then :). Thanks for the heads up Kaiya
I'll be on the look out for Black Dahlia Murder and Skeletal Remains
HYPED for the Skeletal Remains album. Saw them last year in London they were SO good
Job for a cowboy? Black dahlia? Ozzy? I'm hyped for these dudes! Thanks for the update I love your videos
I'd like to add Vitriol to this. Their first album was incredible but they lost momentum due to the pandemic. But their new album releases I believe the 26th. They have a few singles released. Just amazing musicians.
King Diamond is my most anticipated album of the year - and I wouldn't be too shocked if Mercyful Fate dropped another album too.
It could be a fantastic year!
Daje tutta, gorgeous Kaiya. 🌹
Excited for Judas Priest and Job for a Cowboy. I'm curious about Kerry Kings New record. Couldn't care less about King Diamond or Deicide. Hope to hear from Nile.
SAXON is a great heavy metal album great album cover 💯 and the new band FUGITIVE it worth listening to
Opeth will released new album
They're my fav band of all time can't wait for the release tho i do prefer their older releases it's most likely gonna be prog rock again
I'm excited that you're excited about Necrophobic lol. Easily one of my favorited blackened death metal bands!
Borknagar, Seven Spires, Bruce Dickinson… and yeah, totally stoked about Savatage but staying skeptical because I don’t want to be disappointed. 🤘🏻
Testament just announced they’re working on a new album, but they’ve released in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020, so 3024 is looking good!
3024 😉 But a new Testament record we always try at least.
I’m looking forward to the new Exhorder album 🤘
Looking forward to the new Defeated Sanity and Nile albums.
Other upcoming releases I am excited about are:
Brodequin, Vorga, Chapel of Disease, Givre, Halphas, Hiraes and Attic
Just got the new Saxon, It's Great! 🤘
Albums I'm looking forward to are of course Saxon's new album, Judas Priest's new album (Although the singles they've put out so far haven't really done much for me), Savatage's new album if that comes out this year, Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson and his new solo album 'The Mandrake Project' and former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley and his new album 'Circle of Stone'. Also hoping Exodus put something out this year too. I think they said their new album is dropping in late 2024 so fingers crossed!
I'm actually interested to hear Morbid Angel's new album if that comes out. I'm not really a Death Metal guy besides Death and Bolt Thrower but I have been going down the Morbid Angel rabbit hole recently so I'll be keeping an eye out for that! Might have a look into Skeletal Remains too. This video also reminds me I need to properly delve into King Diamond and Mercyful Fate too. I own a couple of King's albums and only one Mercyful Fate album. I need to rectify that! 😂
I gotta say though, unfortunately I can't really say I'm interested in a new Ozzy Osbourne album. I love Ozzy's first six albums but everything after No More Tears has been a bit rubbish besides the odd great song hear and there.
Austrian underground BM legends Abigor just released their new work digitally a few days ago, Taphonomia Aeternitatis - Gesänge im Leichenlicht der Welt. And Swiss cosmic BM pioneers are back after a decade with their new album coming out next month, Dark Space -2.-2.
Supposedly, Mastodon is recording a new record this year. Kittie is already in the studio, and the album will probably be released this year.
one thing I am looking forward to this year is Lovebites's first US show! I've been hooked on them since I first heard them back during Covid, I am glad to see that they are starting to get some real attention outside of Asia as those girls are talented as hell.
They really are, they're mostly power metal with symphonic elements, but some of their thrashier riffs and songs remind me of peak-era late 80s thrash!
Great video! A small suggestion, could you please change the font next time? I was seeing Kins Diamond, Morbid Ansel and Sojira 😅
Ugh I know 😒 I love that font but I too was like "That kind of looks off..." Didn't change it but definitely next time I'll pick something different.
Dark Tranquillity is finishing up their 13th album, and once again they've had a line-up change. This is pretty wild because from their start in 1990 until 2016, they kept the 4 main song writers (which expanded to 5 in 2000). Now the only original member is the vocalist Mikael Stanne, so I'm sure some might argue that they aren't Dark Tranquillity anymore... not looking forward to those discussions personally. That said musically I am looking forward to what's going to happen, as all my expectations are thrown out the window! I guess the new guitarist wrote over half of the last album, so we'll see.
Also interesting is that the vocalist is also involved with a band called The Halo Effect, (with former In Flames members) and they're finishing their 2nd album! ...And I've seen 2024 festival posters that have booked both bands at the same gig... Mikael Stanne is the man (and probably one of the most enjoyable vocalists in death metal)!
If I were to ever recommend Dark Tranquillity, maybe start with The Gallery, then Projector, Damage Done, Character, and then maybe Atoma... but to me all of their albums are great, however I'm biased because they are my favorite band!
Here are some that you missed:
Blood Red Throne - Nonagon (1/26)
Obsidian Shrine - Dereliction of Divinity (2/2)
Torchia - Arcane Magicae (2/9)
Hulder - Verses in Oath (2/9)
Petrification - Sever Sacred Light (2/9)
Spectral Voice - Sparagmos (2/9)
Fathomless Ritual - Hymns For The Lesser Gods (2/12)
Suicidal Angels - Profane Prayer (3/1)
Messiah - Christus Hypercubus (3/1)
Necrophobic - In The Twilight Grey (3/15)
Brodequin - Harbinger of Woe (3/22)
Vesperian Sorrow - Awaken The Greylight (4/26)
Cemetery Rapist - From My Puddlephalic Drip (4/?)
The Dark Prison Massacre - Ashes Become Alive (6/6)
Immortal Disfigurement - King (unknown release date)
Svabhavat - Venomous Execration (unknown release date)
Unleash The Archers - unknown album title (unknown release date)
Blood Red Throne is sick, and one of my favorite death metal bands. Their early stuff especially is like the sexiest parts of Cannibal Corpse and Deicide had a baby that cut the fat and took over the family business right away!
old is gold
Inferi and Archspire are both working on new albums as well.
Leaves eyes are realising a new album in march
MGLA, Dark Tranquillity, Rotting Christ and sophmore albums from Iotunn and Yoth Iria. Going to be a stacked year for sure.
Casket Huffer on Hibernation Release has a record coming out this year. Ultimate death metal.
Just waiting those releases from Blood Incantation, JFAC, Black Dahlia Murder, King Diamond and Gorguts. Also I would like to check that new Judas Priest album, even tho I don't have so much hopes for them.🤔
And the new Bruce Dickinson solo album probably as well? 🙂
Nice video 👍🏻 Thank you.
Also, super excited about new albums from Borknagar, Ihsahn, and Bruce Dickinson.
12 years isn't a lot for Gorguts. The music is well worth the wait.
Death metal band named Deathevokation dropped a single full length called "The Chalice of Ages" way back in 2007. Cool stuff because it had a really strong sense of melody but didn't fall into overly saccharine, melodeath territory. Apparently they're due to finally drop the follow up sometime this year, which would be pretty baller if it happens...especially given how unexpected it was to hear about any new material from them.
New Darkspace album next month after a 10 year break. Anyone who likes ambient/atmospheric black metal that's legitimately different than most should be hyped for this release
Pumped for the new Spectral Voice full length as well!
I'm almost certain JFAC are gonna be releasing my AOTY. My top 5 bands are SoI, Jinjer, FF, BTBAM, and Meshuggah, pretty sure those ain't releasing. If SoI releases tho I'm gonna give it to them almost certainly.
Saxon has already released the album of the year 😀
DEVIL MUSIC by Gorlock coming out on Halloween 2024. Occult Horror Metal.
Personally excited for new Dark Tranquillity & The Halo Effect
Heriot is coming out with their debut album in 2024! 👊🏼
At a King Diamond concert june 2019 they said : And now a number from our forthcoming album ...... Waiting waiting and waiting.
Do you have informations for this LONG waiting ??
Therefore I thanks for the informations about KD (17 years since their last LP ....) and also MF ! May 2024 be a GREAT year !
Ingested and deicide 🤘🏻

Knocked Loose.
2 solo albums, one by current Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson ('The Mandrake project') and former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley ('Circle of stone') due in 2024...
VLITMAS is a band featuring former Morbid Angel bassist/ vocalist David Vincent, former Mayhem guitarist Blasphemer (Rune Ericksen) and Flo Mounier (drums) of Cryptopsy... new album 'Epic' out soon.
Kerry King (guitarist of Slayer) will release a new album as a solo artist feat. former Slayer drummer Paul Bostaph and a new vocalist.
Static-X release a new album of completed songs from Wayne Static's vaults as 'Project Regeneration Vol. 2'.
Ace Frehley (original Kiss lead guitarist) releases a new solo album '10,000 volts'.
Darkest Hour, extreme metallers from DC, have a new album out soon - 'Perpetual/ Terminal'.
Mick Mars, original Motley Crue guitarist, has his first solo album 'The other side of Mars'.
Corrosion of Conformity r also working on a new record for 2024, the first since the death of drummer Reed Mullin.
Ozzy still puts out some great some songs
2 albums that I am looking forward to in the next few weeks are: 1) Inquisition "Veneration of Medieval Mysticism and Cosmological Violence" and 2) Necrowretch "Swords of Dajjal". Inquisition are a wicked 2 piece black metal band from Colombia/USA and Necrowretch are a satanic death metal band from France. Check them out! Stay Brutal! 🤘
You missed The Infernal Sea "Hellfenlic".
Opeth. GIVE ME OPETH, OPETH 😩
Suicidal Angels: March 1st
Haha, I would rather have Gorguts take time and put out a good album. Luc is the best, and he's not too concerned if "fans" are waiting. I saw them on the obscura tour, so if old fans can wait for a new album, then the new ones.
Don't forget both 'nu-metal' pioneers Korn and Deftones (my personal preference) are supposed to release new albums by this summer. And yes, cannot wait for Nile to release #10.....my favorite DM band of all time!
It’s ok, I didn’t know you either.
Metal is not for everyone!
Welcome to the community!
Hi! Ignore the deadname associated with this account, I'm Amory (They/She). Anyways, an album dropping this year that I'd suggest is Aborted's Vault Of Horrors, which is slated to release March 15th.
You should react to burzum’s self titled
Blood incantation ........yes
DIPYGUS self titled just came out... check it out. Seriously.
What albums are you most excited for in 2024?
Wintersun - Time II. Been waiting since 2007 😅
*AMARANTHE : "The Catalyst" will be released on 23 February 2024. Of course Nightwish and also the new album from SLAUGHTER TO PREVAIL, which should be released in the first half of the year.* 🎵💿🎸🎵😈🔥
@@oskarlukkari8165 jari announced that the album is complete and they will look at a release date for the summer 😁😁😁
Jari from Wintersun supposedly got his shit together and the new album is done. Also Nightwish could be interesting.
New Marilyn Manson this year.
And where is Kerry King and his project?
imagine not mentioning nails
U have that Aborted poster behind u but didn’t include their new album that drops March 15th
Didn't even know they were releasing something!! Definitely will keep an eye out for that to buy. Do you know if they're releasing a vinyl? Saw them last year and they kicked ass.
@@imaKaiyaJust giving ya hell 😅 but yes they are in fact dropping a vinyl version of the new record 🔥🤘🏼
❤ 😀 ❤ 👍
I'm curious why the band named themselves Job For a Cowboy. It sounds like they should be country band instead.
King Diamond annoys me because he’s taking far too long with the album so I don’t see it happening. I really want this album but I can’t see it. He’s the Axl Rosé of camp metal lol
I'm only half listening but did you just advocate for rob Halford to die? Hahaha. Wow! I'll rewind and listen again to double check
EVIL INCARNATE, Old School Death Metal band from USA.
Doing a 'You Should Know About' list and saying you haven't heard that much from Ministry. Interesting.
Bruce Dickinson!
Lords Of Black / Mechanics of PREDACITY / 2024
Why Cradle of Filth was not in this list?
I'd argue that Deicide has everything to prove. They've been mediocre ever since the Hoffman bro's left. With only a few decent releases since. But what can you expect when Glen doesn't even listen to death metal
Oi, linda!!!
This chic is VERY new to metal, last thing she should be doing is reffering new metal albums especially when half the bands she mentioned are shit.
This chick sounds like a poser
Considering she has that Aborted poster behind her but didn’t include their new album that drops March 15th
