Apply a hydrating oil to your nose at night after exfoliating and that should help it not be so dry! It'd probably be best to wash your face in the morning or use a cleansing water to remove the residual oil and to get rid of the ickyness that builds during sleep. Hopefully though that could help the dry bit so you're only fighting one battle when you put makeup on (:
it's because your skin needs hydrating (look for products that contains the NMF(natural moisturizing factor): hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, glycerin etc)
It's probably dry so you should moisturize your face (in this case your nose) and it's oily bc its deprived of oil, causing your skin to produce too much oil.
Finally! I love watching other you tubers but a lot of them seem to have dry skin so I find that a lot of their techniques don't work well on my oily skin - SO glad I discovered your channel thank you so much! :D xxxxxxxx
Wooooooooow. I tried this (with Urban Decay's eye primer which worked too well and nyx setting powder) and my entire life has changed. I have to wash my face three times to get all the makeup off but now I don't have to powder every two hours. I can go 6 hours without any touch up and I'm totally matte.
Hi Nikkia! I've been loving all your foundation tips and tricks addressing different concerns on the face, but I have a 2-in-1 problem! The largest pores I have are right on my nose!😏I noticed in your videos that to hide enlarged pores you don't use the paint pot, but to keep foundation in place on the nose you do use it. What would you recommend in this situation?
Hi lovely! Apply the paint pot and set it with a teeny amount of transluscent powder! Then go in over the top with a pore minimizing primer and then foundation on top of that! It should solve all your issues for you! :) xx
@@nikkiajoy hi Nikkia! I have the same problem. Do I apply a setting spray after applying the pore primer on the nose? 1. Apply Mac paint pot 2. Setting powder with damp beauty blender 3. Apply Pore primer like from benefit 4. Do I apply the setting spray on my nose or go straight to foundation and use setting spray at the end? 5. Apply foundation
THIS VIDEO WAS AN ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER THANK YOU SO MUCH I WEAR GLASSES AND EVEN WHEN I DONT IT ALWAYS COMES OFF also i only recently started having an oily face so this is to to me !!!!!
I knew from the first second I saw her makeup, I was gonna like her. SHE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A DAMN CLOWN. Her contour and blush doesn't look too heavy. She looks pretty natural. I have the same problem with my nose AND I WEAR HEAVY GLASSES. Do you know how hard it is when you're in class and can't see the board bc you didn't want to mess up your makeup by wearing your glasses? Sucks. So glad I found this video oh my gosh. OH and looking into the comments, she has oily skin??? Whaaat? YESSS I'm gonna cry your blending is beautiful. YOU KNOW HOW TO WEAR MAKEUP
Hi! I have same skin type and my trick for applying my makeup without getting it cakey/oily/creasing is I use a beauty blender for my whole face (I don't use a brush to apply my foundation) + prime and finish spray before in the middle and in the end :)
Hi Nikkia, not sure if you're aware of this but there are a lot of anti-Jihad ads on your videos. I'm Muslim and completely against the terrorism that has happened across the world but I think it is important that we don't spread islamophobia or try to marginalize Muslims like myself and my family. Maybe you could look into the advertiser? Their name is Counter Jihad. Anyways, all love to you, seriously your oily skin makeup routine/products are going to save my life, I can already tell. ❤️
But if your not a violent extremist than the advertisement shouldn't bother you. I have several Muslim friends and none have ever been offended by anti-Isis press. Its no concern to them because it's not them nor a representation of them.
Thank you so much...I have nose with pore issues..I will try your suggestion. I have been doing primer.. Powder..eyeshadow primer. Powder.. foundation .....powder..didnt work well. Looking forward to trying your suggestions. Aloha..Linda
I've heard the primer check, may give it a try. I thought it was just my foundation but with most foundations anymore, when I do a light swipe of powder I always get the same giant patch on the left side if my nose where the foundation is just GONE
Thanks for the helpful video! I also have the same problem. I just bought the All-nighter and finishing spray and I LOVE IT! I noticed your before and after eyebrows...do you have a how-to video? Thanks! :)
I don't have a problem with foundation coming off my nose; my problem is actually putting it on. Foundation refuses to go on my nose, so I have to go over it with concealer and powder. Would you recommend your technique in this video for that problem?
This always happens to me thanks so much for this video, I have just subscribed! Can you recommend a drug store product to use instead of the Mac paint pot?? Thanks!

Subscribed! In a UA-cam world filled with dry/normal skinned beauty bloggers, sigh of relief when I ran into your channel. Oily skin sufferer/makeup lover living in PHX, AZ, times have been...rough, very rough. Lol. Brb, let the binge watching begin❤️
I know right! They all seem to have dry or normal skin. The best thing I've learned from watching her is the setting spray after primer/before foundation....my foundation goes NOWHERE now! I also started wearing "born this way" and I've gotta tell you....I am less oily. Estee Lauder, Kat Von D etc. did nothing for my oily skin...so I went out and bought something not so matte and it's working really nice. BTW...we are neighbors..Tempe here :)

is your primer and foundation the same base? For example you would want a water based primer with a water based foundation. Same with an oil based primer and oil based foundation
LulyTubee I tried eye primer on my nose and I ended up getting acne on my nose which has never happened before. The primers I tried were Milani eye primer, primer potion, proof it, shadow insurance, Laura mercier and a random essence eyeshadow primer. I ended up using a concealer (with a matte finish, hd ones seem to work best) and putting it on my nose for 10 minutes and then tapping with a beauty sponge and then setting with powder.

I always have allergies so when I blow my nose using a tissue... the foundation on my nose comes right off. SOOOO annoying. I don't know if this method will help cause its for if you have oily skin especially around the nose, but I will just try it and see if it will stay on better for my problem. Other than that, lovely video! Thanks!
Omg same!! Allergies + oily skin = ughhhhh!!!!! xD I'm kinda curious to know if this method does work for people who regularly have to blow their noses. If you try it, could you please let us know how the method worked for you? It would be much appreciated!
Allergies arent too bad (anymore), BUT never fails if Im wearing makeup and then eat then inevitably I'll have to blow my nose then im stuck doing my best Bozo impression the rest of the day
I hate it when my makeup is so blended and when I start to blend to my nose I am starting to feel the sneeze and blow my nose then I'll try to fix it but I'll realize ... It wont be the same since the layers have come off. 😭
DoaEma unfortunately it did not help me. :( I think I may need a facial and have my dead skin particularly on my nose removed to have a smooth canvas. I feel I have a bumpy nose from white heads and black heads. 😫
I noticed mine started getting flakey and patchy like the thumbnail picture a while back, and I realized I wasn't exfoliating my nose skin enough, so it was dry skin causing it!
Jackii Villanueva I use neutrogena pore refining cleanser and i used my fingers to exfoliate, and idk if its bad for you, but i used my nails to really get the skin off so it would be smooth!
A lot of folks say the NYX Eyeshadow Base are a great dupe. Color selection isn't that great, but if you need to lighten up the color you can always mix it with the white base before applying. They're $6.99 in the US (not sure where you're watching from), so you can get the flesh colored one plus the white one and still be saving money. Plus they're Leaping Bunny certified cruelty free.
OH GOD WAIT. I spoke before looking at an updated list and I don't want to give you bad info. NYX was acquired by L'Oreal two years ago, so they are no longer 100% cruelty free due to their parent company. NYX itself still doesn't sell in China nor does it test on animals, but it can't be guaranteed that they don't use ingredients that have been tested on animals by a third party source. ;_: I'm so sorry. A more expensive than NYX, but DEFINITELY cruelty free dupe would be the Anastasia Beverly Hills concealer.
I use your tips but with cruelty free products and it works like a dream! I have only acne prone skin :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Your channel will be huge I can sense it.
CottonCandyLace I actually have my favorite ones in my channel if you need ideas! But for the primers, for face I've been obsessed with the Pixi one (Target sells them) flawless & poreless primer, and for eye primer I use my holy grail wet n wild picture perfect one. Both of these are also vegan! LogicalHarmony.net has the most accurate list out there!
Ashley Elizabeth unfortunately Mary Kay sells in China where testing on animals is mandatory. They choose to do so and allow testing to take place even in the US in order to allow products to be sold in markets that test. This is often done for more money and is very unfortunate.
I struggled with this for years and the best tip EVER was to powder my nose before applying foundation! My foundation stays on my nose and it doesn't get oily anymore. Seriously life changing!
PEOPLE! Please exfoliate your nose before applying a Paint Pot 😩😁 that shit is intense. thumb this up to help others avoid a disaster. Ps I think the foundation matches perfectly if I may respond to that other comment ahem!
I work in dominos so it's really hot near the ovens and running about , whenever I go to work my makeup just melts off my nose but I tried this for my shift tonight (6 hours ) and it didn't budge ! Thank you for the tut , love it when I have all the products used in a video !
Thank you so much for this video!!!! This is the biggest issue I have with makeup application.... makeup never sticks to or stays on the tip of my nose! I have never found a video or helpful advice/tips about this topic and the mac paint pot tip is genius! I can't wait to try it! Again, thank you so much! Xoxo

Dabbing works a tiny bit but doesnt really stop it
This just happened to me today! It ruins my entire look. I'll try this.
It's the worst isn't it. Let me know how you go with this trick lovely 😘
C.H H and did it work?
DoaEma unfortunately it did not help me. :( I think I may need a facial and have my dead skin particularly on my nose removed to have a smooth canvas. I feel I have a bumpy nose from white heads and black heads. 😫
C.H H i also have black heads and white heads so probably it will be the same 😕
C.H H saaaaame
Mine rubs off after 2 seconds despite applying powder and setting spray. Oh and I have dry skin.-.-
Side note, you look so nice without make up!!!
Mary Hines i have combination skin and it happens on my nose ALL the time idk what to do
I noticed mine started getting flakey and patchy like the thumbnail picture a while back, and I realized I wasn't exfoliating my nose skin enough, so it was dry skin causing it!
Maddie asdfghjkl what wash did you use??? or like the tool
Jackii Villanueva I use neutrogena pore refining cleanser and i used my fingers to exfoliate, and idk if its bad for you, but i used my nails to really get the skin off so it would be smooth!
My nose gets fry and flaky. I exfoliate and use moisturizing washes and lotions. The struggle is real
dupe for mac paint pots? looking for a cruelty free brand :)
Mac only tests on animals where it's required to sell, aka china. Everywhere else it does not.
Great idea! I'm going to give it a try :)
But the good news is you'd only have to buy one because the shade range with ABH is way bigger.
Girl.... I just stumbled across this- and it is my numero uno issue! You just gained a new subscriber and worshiper! Slay girl! Thank you 🙌🏻😇👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
+Erika Plante aww thanks so much Erika! I'm so glad you are enjoying my channel! Welcome to the family😍😍😍

I use your tips but with cruelty free products and it works like a dream! I have only acne prone skin :) Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Your channel will be huge I can sense it.
I'm all for cruelty free products what products do you use?
Yes, which products did you use?
CottonCandyLace I actually have my favorite ones in my channel if you need ideas! But for the primers, for face I've been obsessed with the Pixi one (Target sells them) flawless & poreless primer, and for eye primer I use my holy grail wet n wild picture perfect one. Both of these are also vegan! LogicalHarmony.net has the most accurate list out there!
xoLoveLeti | Cruelty-Free Beauty I sell Mary Kay as we are cruelty free :)
I do that too basically make sure my face isn't oily to start with
I need to try this method!! I've heard of it but never actually tried it!
Dear what type of powder do you use?
@@OlyPole I think it's loose face powder
Omg!!! I was looking for a video on that exact topic. I always have problem with my base and powder on my nose, and I don't even have oily skin.
This tricks will work on normal/dry skin also😍
PEOPLE! Please exfoliate your nose before applying a Paint Pot 😩😁 that shit is intense.
thumb this up to help others avoid a disaster.
Ps I think the foundation matches perfectly if I may respond to that other comment ahem!
Haha why thank you!
I work in dominos so it's really hot near the ovens and running about , whenever I go to work my makeup just melts off my nose but I tried this for my shift tonight (6 hours ) and it didn't budge ! Thank you for the tut , love it when I have all the products used in a video !

I'm a poor student lol
Maybelline matte color tattoo the nude colour x
noo the maybelline one has shimmer, dont put that on your nose.
Nyx eyeshadow base!
yes nyx eyeshadow base i love it.
does e.l.f eyeshadow primer work?
Thank you so much for this video!!!! This is the biggest issue I have with makeup application.... makeup never sticks to or stays on the tip of my nose! I have never found a video or helpful advice/tips about this topic and the mac paint pot tip is genius! I can't wait to try it! Again, thank you so much! Xoxo
same!😍
You are so welcome Anna!! I hope this trick changes your life as much as its changed mine!! :) xxx
Girl, you are a genius. I'm officially subscribed!
Veronica Anderson lol same!
I love how your videos are no bullshit, not 15 min, and super informative especially for oily skin. Thank you 😊
Carolina Velazquez same. So many makeup UA-camrs spend so much time getting off topic, trying to be cute or are loud and overly expressive
This is weird but we have the sam name I had to change it for my account cuzz someone else already had it 😂
Yeah, that's what I appreciated mostly too!!!
When I put makeup up on my chin goes all weird and my pores poke out
