    Bro, if you haven’t started taking collagen start now. It keeps me going while in mid 40s. No joint pain and helps with recovery.
    Not to mention skin and hair health.

    Careful….those marathon miles add up and will eventually get you if you don’t take a break!

      After each marathon taking a 5 day break. 5 day off every 4-6 weeks

    • @timobrien256
      @timobrien256 21 годину тому

      My buddy “beards” may suggest a longer break. He like you kept getting faster with each marathon until he broke and never could comeback. At least he did go sub 2:09 at Boston before he broke:-)

    I think you're going to need to move out of the cold with the Raynauds if you want 2:15

    The fitness bumps from the race efforts alone are a lot. But trying to push the needle in both intensity and volume during training, with your dance card.....eeeeep. I LOVE the new post race recovery protocol of 5days off, given your frequency of racing. The marathon is a cruel beast, even when you get everything right, one thing can turn a PB into a respectable day...or worse.
    Which like you've said previously, is why you're doing this, greater chance to get everything to lineup and really crush it once or twice a year.

    What you're doing with marathon racing seems to go against all coaching and training, at least what we're told by most "experts". I believe things are told to be impossible until someone first does it, and maybe you're going to be that first and I do wish you well. I know I'll be following your progress with curiosity and hopes you do run that 2:15. My main question is do you think this strategy to get to a 2:15 is better than not racing and going through a 4 to 6 month training block? If you prove this works, it seems the only limiter then would be to financially support going to races and racing this much. 😀

    Hi Matt, do you have a video where you talk about the good way to build up mileage without injury. I'm in a period where I just constantly injure myself trying to increase my weekly mileage, I really want to be able to run a lot and perform like you do.

    Do you remember how the recovery was with 5mg of creatine (advised as the normal dose) vs the 15mg you are doing now? do you think it makes a difference taking the additional doses?

    Curious how you arrived at your recovery stack numbers? I think you said exogenous ketones - 40g (I think that's like 4 of those little ketone IQ's), creatine - 15g, and protein - 60g? Trial and error, scientific, and or you just feel good? Creatine effectiveness is kind of a hard measure and 15 is usually recommended for loading in the initial phase. Cheers?

    • @sweatelite
      @sweatelite  15 годин тому +1

      Purely trial and error. Originally I was going 10g, 5g, 30g. I kept trying a little more and at the moment it seems like more is simply more powerful till this point.. I’ve not tried more than this

    Hi Matt! Do you take creatine/protein/ketones daily or only after a marathon? I use creatine during the hard training weeks and it really helps with recovery ❤️‍🩹 but I use it before training and energy levels seems to go up 🆙
