Great review of one of my top 10 favorite novels👍🏼
Thank You.
Another American writer worth reading is Jack London.
I would strongly recommend 'Martin Eden' and 'The Sea Wolf'
In your words..... WOW😉
Just finished it. Literally 1 minute ago. What a book!
The ending just sticks. good read.
Did you like the ending? I wanted closure for that poor family and Tom!
I just finished the book today, and as always, I look to reviews online. Your review is the way I read it.
I read this last December and it's one of my all-time favourite books. Each character stood out right away, and Steinbeck writes in a way that it's like seeing a movie. To me, the struggles of "the Okies" is still a lesson for today... the have and the have-nots, those with the least are blamed the most, the ruthlessness of those who have the most, etc. He had a point of view, but more than anything, the story is beautifully immersive. Great review!
yes ,exactly very well summed up ,love Steinbeck read him as a teenager Cannery Row is good too with more humour .
Thank you !
👌🏻
Now someone needs to write the Kiwis of fury 😁
@@smileytpb I'd totally read it, as well as the bananas of rage.
