    I just received mine last week and took it in the pool at the weekend. Took a little bit to get used to but ended up staying at the bottom of the pool for 11 minutes. I was surprised by the build quality too! It's impressive. I've ordered the full face mask and will update how it goes.

      @@sweatyrabbits if you were swimming actively for 11 minutes that would be surprising. Our only substantial time came f]when sitting still in w feet of water.

    Thank you for the review. I received my package the other day. I won't be too disappointed when I will try it out myself since I am already disappointed now. Oh, well... I will have to adjust the use of it. Watching calmly the corals and fishes without much moving.

    I bought this not even having a mission. Perhaps to address issues in my swimming pool. Anyway, your review is incredible. I discovered some of what you taught and have to say the hand pump is worthless. I plan to use a tank for refilling or the electric pump. Another view is to just chalk it up as a fun try and not even use it.

    Amountof air used depends on how fit you are and also importantly relaxed.
    If you are a competent diver you may only use a third of the air a nervous novice who has little experience.
    As an ex BSAC diver have whitnessed this happen. You simply gulp air when nervous or cold.

    I bought this for my daughter and I to use in the ocean when we visit California a couple times a year. I bought the tank adapter not knowing I have to be scuba certified just to rent a dang tank. If I'm scuba certified, I don't need this mess. 30 minutes to hand pump or another $1,000 for a pump that still takes 10 minutes? I'm pretty disappointed and we haven't even gone out. We’ll be in Laguna this Saturday for her birthday and I'm pretty sure we'll just be snorkeling as usual. 😢

    If you want to explore under the water, as you said, then, why don’t you just become a normal diver? It is pretty fast and easy, takes only a few days, can also be done in a lake, and then you can do it safely and stay longer under the water. It is just a thought…

      Fair question...I believe it has to do with the pressure on the small tank and the rapidly shrinking air supply

  • @felixcat9318
    @felixcat9318 3 місяці тому +5

    This is simply a rip off of the Spare Air, which was designed to provide a source of emergency breathable air to SCUBA Divers, or to Aircrew, as an emergency breathable air supply to enable them to escape from a flooding, sinking helicopter or aeroplane after ditching into the sea!
    It can also provide temporary breathable air in industrial environments and for persons escaping a smoke filled structure.
    They were never designed or manufactured to be a pseudo mini SCUBA system, but are frequently marketed and sold as such.
    People will inevitably dive below the ludicrous 9 feet/3 metres limit, exposing themselves to the possibility of respiratory problems.
    This cannot be over emphasised, it can lead to long term internal damage and a user running out of air at depths they should never have gone to.
    Obtaining professional Diving Tuition from a properly accredited, registered and certified Diving Instructor at a Diving School is a better use of one's money and time...
